I can roughly guess what almost caused Baron Bezos to be completely wiped out.
A squad of Tier Two Avalon Light Infantry should be about as strong as the Tier Two ordinary Wolf Cavalry.
It seems there is still a great risk in this venture.
"Will we encounter danger next?"

After advancing several hundred meters, there were no longer any mine carts filled with minerals around.

These webs occupied the corners of the tunnel.

It seemed very wary of the underground hall ahead.

Zong Shen gestured, assigning the Wolf Cavalry as reconnaissance. It’s already confirmed that part of this mine has been occupied by spiders.
If they could destroy Baron Bezos’s exploration team, then they can pose a severe threat to Zong Shen as well.

Three Wolf Cavalry carried two torches and went ahead.

"Let’s go, check it out first, protect the Mage and Archer."
Zong Shen waved his hand, pointing to the end of this mineshaft.
He gently patted Pigsy’s head.
Everyone advanced again.
The atmosphere became tense.
In this eerie mine, one could feel an endless sense of oppression.
Zong Shen could feel the muscles on Pigsy’s back gradually tensing beneath him.
This was a sign of extreme tension.
Pigsy was a Captain-level Blood-toothed Wild Boar, yet it was terrified of the mine interior, having clearly suffered some previous hardships.
As everyone stepped into the hall, they found the situation was more complex than reported by the Wolf Cavalry.
The whole ground of the hall was covered with a layer of spider webs.
The resilience of these webs was strong.
People stepping on them felt an added layer of constraint underfoot.
The right side was more horrifying, with everything covered by webs.
There were also many corpses. These skeletons were very intact and covered, forming strange bulges.
A real Spider Web Monster Nest!
It’s scarier than a horror movie.
As everyone was observing, from the left side of the hall, the side not fully covered by webs, sounds of fighting and screams echoed.
