Ayesha and Mother were watching me from faraway.
The shock and surprise filled their faces.
"Are we really seeing a reality?" Ayesha exclaimed, surprised and utterly shocked.
"No, this is real." Even mother wasn't any different than her.
This was actually the first time that I was facing against a rank 6 beast.
Before, i only faced rank 4 and rank beasts. Today was nothing more than just an experiment.
To see if I can really pull it out, and the result was able to completely shock them.
"Just what kind of monster did we create?" Ayesha exclaimed again.
While mother adorned a proud smile on her face.
"Will there even be someone who can go against him? He hasn't even awakened his core yet, just how monstrous will he be after that?"
She couldn't fathom it, neither could I.
I wasn't just battling against a rank 6 beast, but I was toying with it.
"I guess we really pulled it off, huh?" Mother said.
"Yeah, we did. Now even if that demon king rises again, we will have someone who can handle him." Ayesha expressed.
She then looked at mother and said,
"I need to leave now. Mother is calling me back, something fishy is going on with the other races. She said that they are planning something big. I also need to attend the awakening ritual tomorrow." She said.
Every year, Ayesha leaves for a day to attend the awakening ritual.
Awakening happens at once with all the kids who turned 10 years of age.
She mostly attends it because of the request from the nobles or other high ranking individuals, including of many other races.
She is still the most favoured one by the goddess of life. Her blessing is simply too powerful.
She was supposed to go with me tomorrow, but seems she will be heading out first.
Guess I will be going with mother then... but I don't feel like she will go with me.
The outside world doesn't know that the hero has a son yet. And since they don't know yet, I don't think she has the intentions of revealing it ever.
"Oh? Are you going right away?" Mother asked.
"Yeah, she summoned me and told me to get there as quickly as possible. I think she wants me to join the academy."
Academy? She is going to study?
I couldn't believe my ears. By the way, my senses have gone too sharp now, I can finally hear what they are talking about even when I am far away from them.
Why do I feel like I am spying on them?
"Academy? She wants you to teach there?" Mother raised her question.
So she is actually going to teach... why did I even think about her studying?
But what kind of Academy will require her to teach?
"Probably. We are in very edge of a war being broke out. So she wants me to join the academy and teach the students there."
So simply put, they are actually going to raise their future warriors and mages... then why even call it academy? Just call it military training.
Mother seems a bit down when Ayesha pushed the topic of her going to academy.
'It feels like i am running away. Because I wanted to live a quiet life... am I actually doing the right thing?'
"Tell me if I can be of any help to you." Mother said.
"You will?" Ayesha asked, raising her voice a little.
Then with a happy and excited tone, she said,
"Then I will tell mother that you will be joing there as well. You can teach rune magic there."
Huh? Her mood swinged so easily.
"Eh?!" But there was a visible confusion on mother face.
She really didn't intend to help her, did she?
"Yeah, i will. I will be all alone when I send Ravi to the academy, it will be good choice for me to join the academy."
"Yeah, he hasn't met anyone of his age yet, so joining there will be good for him. Oh, this reminds me, I heard that the dragon race has given birth to a monstrously genius dragon girl."
"Monstrously genius? What kind of monster is she for you to feel so excited for?"
Someone so good that even Ayesha is acknowledging her, just who could it be?
She only considered me a genius when I defeated rank 3 beasts with ease and today when I toyed with a rank 6 beast... I still am doing it though.
"I heard that she already has learned dragon's breath and burned down an entire mountain when she went to hunt. That mountain was filled with rank 4 beasts. She is also said to have the most purest bloodline of dragon lineage, even more than the dragon emperor."
"Oh, so she is very gifted then. Finally dragons also have someone who they can flaunt now. But who is she? She must be from a noble dragon family."
"She is the daughter of the dragon's grand elder."

"The grand elder's daughter, then it's understandable. But why are you getting so fired up for? Is she joining the academy?" Mother asked.
"No, no. She isn't joining the academy, she is actually going to attend the awakening ritual tomorrow. She is the same age as our little monster." Her excitement rose even more, it was noticeable from far away.
"So that's why you are so hyped up? The monstrous genius from dragon race and our little monster... who do you think is actually stronger?" Now even mother seemed excited.
"It is kinda hard to say right now. But these two will be the pillar of our planet in the future. I will like to see what will happen in tomorrow's ritual."
"Yeah, now even if feel curious to know what will happen tomorrow. But I am sure, our monster will win."
Will I win?
Dragons are beasts, they are monsters from birth. Unlike humans, they have an edge from the moment they are born, they also have high affinity in mana.
People even call them mythical creatures.
And can I win against those monsters?
For sure, I can. I have slained so many of those lizards that I have lost count of.
Yeah, they are strong, but so what? I am stronger...
Not even using my domain, I have full confidence of destroying her and all her race.
I do have an old grudge to settle with them. Especially that old shit.
At that moment, a flying chariot appeared on the sky.
It looked luxurious with a symbol of the Elven royalty.
Must be the queen who sent this.
"I will be going now." Ayesha bid her farewell with Eleanor and boarded the chariot.
Within a moment, the chariot disappeared from my vision. It was super fast.
Now that their talimg was over, I should end this as well.
The bear, tired completely wasn't even attacking with it's full might now.
It had already accepted its fate and was ready to get slaughtered.
So let's just do that.
I sliced it's head cleanly, giving it a peaceful death. (After toying it for hours.)
I put my sword on sheathe. This was actually the sword that Ayesha gave me. A rank 8 sword, very sharp and has high affinity with mana.
After I awaken my core, this sword will be even more destructive.
After killing that bear, when I was going at where mother was... I saw that Setsuna was approaching her.
She went in front of her and looked at her. There wasn't the polite demeanor of her now, even in sarcasm, she used to greet mother by bowing, but not this time.
"I was going to tell you this anyway, but seems Ayesha made my work easier. I will be taking Ravi to the awakening ritual tomorrow." She said.
Not even asking, she just announced to mother that she will be taking me.
That was strange, why is she acting like that?
But she didn't stop at just that and continued
"You do not intend to reveal the truth yet, to the world. And I understand that, so let me help you tomorrow, I will take him so you won't have to burden yourself."
After that her tone softened a bit and she whispered softly to her, I was too far to listen to such low voice.
"I am thankful for what you did back then. I might not look like it, but I feel like you and I can be friends. During my time, I never found someone who I could consider as my friend, my equal, but living with you and Ayesha for these years, maybe we could have been really good friends if we were from same time. Though, I still do not consider you two as my equal, I can defeat you both, but thanks for everything that you did. And please take care of my brother, I never said this before, but I know he isn't bad... he just doesn't have anyone to rely. He is just lonely and tends to live like that, but now he has changed, so please try keep him that way."
Then she walked away.
