"There done now."
Eleanor smiled happily, covering me in a soft piece of clothes designed for babies.
I was literally dying inside. Even if i do reveal about myself to them in future... this will be the thing that might stop me from doing it.
"I should go back to church now. I need to attend to the Holy mother and know what did she prophesied this time."
After patching me up, Ayesha bid farewell to Eleanor.
Eleanor nodded her head with a smile at her. Ayesha then began to walk towards the door when suddenly a different figure appeared there.
A female with almost the identical proportions as her but with a pink hair, she was none other than Setsuna.
"Oh my, are you leaving already miss saintess?"
She asked with her usual haughty tone. This was something unique about her, she tries to hide it everytime she talks, but there is always a feeling of being superior inside her, which I do not know why she even have?
She then curtly bowed her head with a strange smile on her face and said,
"Well, you must have a lot of work to do and with the war against the beasts and demons, you must be preoccupied already, forgive my rudeness for wasting your time."
Saying that, she gave Ayesha the way to go out. Ayesha only glanced at her once and without saying a word, walked out from there.
Even she can sense that her words helds no respect for her and it was genuinely evident.
"What was that, Setsuna? I have told you several times to speak more politely with everyone." Eleanor said with firmness after Ayesha left the room.
Setsuna curtly went near her and said, "I apologise, dear hero. But how can I speak politely to those who had hands in the death of my brother?"
"Then what about me? I was the one who slained your brother, do you not hold hatred towards me?"
"Towards you, dear hero? How could I dare? You are a mighty hero, once the strongest Knight in the world. But what am I? Just a weak and powerless woman, how we have a comparison?"
There she goes again with that same attitude. When I died, she must have been devastated. Even though it wasn't long that we were together, but we did have a deep connection.
During that time, she showed many signs of how she feels towards me, but I never considered her anything more than my sister.
And now that she is with the one who killed me, I am sure she must be planning something else.
"But yeah, i did hate you. I thought of severing your limbs, torturing you till you beg for mercy."
What? Isn't she even a little bit afraid? I was sure, Eleanor must be in rage, but what i saw wasn't anything I had expected. She was calm and didn't seem to mind any of her words.
"Until I saw what happened after that, i was able to know about your feelings for m-"
"Fine, you do not need to say anything further." Eleanor cut her mid sentence.
"As you wish, dear hero."
"Now speak, why did you come here?"
Setsuna looked at Eleanor once and then turned her attention towards me and said,
"Oh, it was nothing special, dear hero. I assumed you might be tired, so I came to help you. You can leave the young lord to me."
Why do I feel a sudden sense of danger directed towards me?
"Hmm? What do I see here? Why is young lord so full of mana? This shouldn't be happening considering his age."
Hmm? She can sense mana? A normal person shouldn't be able to do that.
But she didn't stop at just that and continued,
"Looking at him, there is a faint aura of the world tree... don't tell me you fused him with the branch of the world tree?"
It wasn't weird to see that even Eleanor was surprised by this. How can she know what exactly happened with me?
"You seem rather surprised by what I said, dear hero. Oh, you must be wondering how I know about this, right? Ah, and here I thought you weren't so foolish like my brother."
She gave out a long sigh and shook her head.
And what does she mean by 'foolish like my brothers'?
"I am badly disappointed, hero. I had expected at least you out of all those morons will be able to figure it out. I hold a deep admiration for your strength, but seems you are also like them. Did this thought never occured to you that what was a fragile and coreless woman like me was doing inside that ruin?"
"Are you telling me that you are one of them?"
Eleanor asked cautiously. Her grip turned firmed on me as her eyes focused onto Setsuna.
Seeing her getting alarmed, Setsuna shrugged off and said,
"I was just kidding, dear hero. I accidentally heard you and saintess speaking with each other before. I apologise for my rudeness, but it wasn't intentional. I am actually grateful that you saved me that day, how can I hold a grudge against you?"
She immediately did a 180 turn. Everything changed in an instant. Eleanor was still doubtful, but what she said seemed believable as well.
'If she was one of them, then it would have brought disaster upon us. But since everything is fine, then she shouldn't be one of them. Still, I cannot let my guard down infront of her.'
But I know what kind of person she is, and what she said just now wasn't a lie at all. It was always doubtful why she used to act as someone better then anyone and now it makes me question who she really is.
One thing is for sure, she is no one ordinary.
I do not know what Eleanor meant by 'one of them', but i will have to find out and soon at that.
Even though, a very short time has passed since my death, but it feels a lot of time has passed now. There are so many things that I do not know of. Makes me feel pathetic and a fool.
