Ysabella POV
After a very hectic schedule in the hospital, I feel like my whole energy drained. I drank water to regain my energy.
A sudden burst of my door shocked me. It was Emma who is fuming in anger.
"What happens?" I told her while I looked at her shocked.
"That stupid guy! He keeps flirting with me. " She said while her cheeks look red right now.
"Whose guy are you talking about?''
"That guy Xavier. The guy we save last night! I know he's not our patient I will strangle his neck. Arrggh!!! That guy is the most infuriating and hideous guy I knew!"
"Woah! What did he do to you to make you go like this?"
"I check his vital and run down a test on him. While I check his breathing he went on touchy to me. His hands reach my waist then I grab it and swat it away. Then he...he... He.. that jerk! Just stole my first kiss. Shit!!!" She said while I hold my laugh. I know it's kind of bad of me to laugh at her but her reaction is so priceless
"What happens after that?" I asked her
"Of course I slap that moron! How dare he kiss me! Then he just smiles as nothing happen. I swear I want to kill me. Can you do me a favor? Can you just check him? I think I will pass this one. I might kill one a patient!"
"Hahahaha... Ok! Ok! I will handle this one. No need to go there anymore."
"Anyway, why are you still here? Do you plan to sleep here in the hospital again?" She asked me
"Nope, my dad just called me. We're going to have dinner with one of his business partners" I just said half-lie to her.
I know where we going. My dad said we're going to dinner at Mr. and Mrs. Martin's house they invited us.
"So you're not excluded? What's new huh?" She said.
Emma knows that my family treats me indifferently. So it's shocking to her why I am included in this dinner. If only she knew the truth.
"Yup! It's shocking to me too. But anyway I got to go. I need to prepare for that dinner. And Emma you sure you don't want that patient? Xavier?" I asked her playfully tone
"Don't you dare bring that name again. I hate him to the core!" She said while glaring at me
"Hahahaha... He's handsome you know!! What if....?"
"Don't you dare finish that sentence? I swear I am going to end our friendship!"
"Ouch!! You're so bad, friend. Ok, I will go now bye-bye!"
I went to my car and drive off to our house.
"Why are you so late? Come on hurry up and fix yourself!" My stepmom said to me
"Mom! I don't have a new dress. " Lucy said, my step-sister.
I climb the stairs and went inside my room. I wash and grab my black dress in my closet. I put on a natural look and let my hair down.
I went down and my father signals me to follow him to his study room.
We went inside and talked
"During the dinner, I will expect you to obey and behave!"
"And don't you ever voice out whatever you have in mind"
"You will get married to that guy and we will gain shares and the company will bloom again!"
"But dad! This is unfair to them. You're using them." I answered him
"I don't care. They are already rich as in fifty rich. Why are you getting work out for that? You just need to play the role of that guy's wife. And I will do the rest for you" he said in an evil voice.
"Dad! But...!" Before I finished my sentence. A hand flew over my face. I look at him shocked.
"For once listen to me. If you dare not to follow me. You will get more than that. Understood???" He said while glaring at me.
I sob and cry. I don't know what to do. He uses me as a tool for his business.
"Fix yourself and we will go now!" He walkout
I went inside my car since my sister said she doesn't like me to be in the same car with her. Well, the feeling is mutual. I hate this family so much!
We step out in a grand and beautiful mansion. It's twice as huge as our house.
Mr. and Mrs. Martin are already at the entrance waiting for us. They shake hands with my father and we greeted them.
Mrs. Martin hug me and hug her back.
"So glad to meet you again. You look beautiful as always!" Mrs. Martin said.
"Thank you, Mrs. Martin!" And I bow my head to her a sign of respect.
"Call me grandma and you can call him grandpa too." While pointing at Mr. Martin in her side.
"Come, dear! Our grandson will be here in a moment" Mr. Martin said.
My mind immediately went off when Mr. Martin mention his grandson will also be there.
"His parents cannot make it here cause they have an overseas business meeting. Those two were inseparable all the time" Mrs. Martin said
What sweet parents he has.
As we enter their house the living room is so huge and beautiful. It's mostly a modern and classic combination.
"Dear, your grandpa wanted to talk to you."
"Come dear!"
I follow grandpa and I take a glance at dad and he mouthed "behave"
I walked to where grandpa heading to his study room.
"Dear what happen to your face?!"
"Oh, nothing sir! "
"You're not the type of woman to wear makeup. And I can still see a handprint on your face. Who did that to you?"
"No one sir! I accidentally hit my face. I thought there is a mosquito in my face!" I answered him trying to convince him
"Dear one of the reasons why I wanted to marry you my grandson is because I wanted you to be free from your family. I know what your family did to you. Rest assured when you're in our family they cannot lay a finger on you" grandpa said in a hard tone.
"Thank you, sir! Thank you for your kindness. I don't know why you are so kind to me!"
"Dear we just give back kindness to you. My previous doctors are only after money. But you... You always considered my condition. You're so kind and considerate. !" He said. He reaches his hand and taps my head.
I had a sudden urge to hug him. It's been so long I feel being loved and consider.
I hug him and said
"Sir you don't have to do this. I am ok. What's important is your ok now. Please take back your decision. My father is only after your money. I can't allow that and it eats my conscience. Please!" I said while I hug him and cry.
"Dear... Dear don't worry. Money is not a problem here. I promise this you will be ok"
Then a door flung open. It was his grandson. I notice how his eyes eye me like a kind of whore.
Mr. Martin dismissed me and walked hurriedly to the door.
