Forbidden Cravings Chapter 157

The sun hung high in the clear november sky, its rays spilling over Wonderland Amusement Park, casting playful shadows on the colorful pathways. The air buzzed with the hum of excitement—kids squealing, pop music pulsing faintly from hidden speakers, and the distant roar of roller coasters cutting through the chatter. Aeri and I walked side by side, our footsteps tapping softly on the pavement, her hand brushing mine every now and then as we weaved through the crowd. It was just past 4 p.m., and the park was alive, the towering Scream Machine looming ahead, its metal tracks glinting as riders screams from its drops. "Sounds kinda scary, ahh..?" Aeri said, her voice tinged with a hint of nerves as another round of screams echoed from the roller coaster. I grinned. "Who’s the nervous one now?" I said, laughing as her cheeks flushed pink. "Thought you were all tough, ready to take on the big rides." "Shut up," she said, swatting my back with a playful scowl, her eyes narrowing in mock annoyance. "I’m not nervous, Ezra. I’m just... observing." "Observing, sure," I said, my hands shoved in my pockets to keep from grabbing her hand right there. "So, what’s the plan? What should we hit first?" Aeri tapped her chin, her pout turning thoughtful as she scanned the park, her gaze flicking from the spinning teacups to the towering Ferris wheel in the distance. "Let’s start with something light," she said, nodding like she’d just solved a puzzle. "Then we can work our way up to the big ones, and maybe save the Ferris wheel for the evening when it’s all lit up." I nodded, liking the sound of that. "Sounds good," I said, giving her a mock salute. "Light rides, then the scary stuff, and we end with a chill Ferris wheel ride. Let’s do it." "Yes, yes, perfect!" she said, as she grabbed my arm and pulled me toward a nearby ride—a carousel with brightly painted horses bobbing up and down to cheerful music. "This one first. It’s cute." "Cute?" I raised an eyebrow, smirking as we joined the short line. "You’re picking the kiddie ride, and I’m the nervous one?" She stuck her tongue out, crossing her arms. "It’s called warming up, Ezra," she said, her voice dripping with fake superiority. "You’ll thank me when we’re screaming our heads off on the Scream Machine later." The carousel was a whirl of color, its golden lights twinkling even in the daylight, the horses painted in reds, blues, and whites. We climbed aboard, Aeri picking a white horse with a pink saddle, her skirt riding up slightly as she swung her leg over. I took the black horse next to her, gripping the pole as the ride started. "Giddy-up, cowboy," Aeri teased, kicking her legs lightly as her horse bobbed up and down, her laughter ringing out over the music. When it ended, Aeri hopped off, her boots clicking on the platform, and grabbed my hand, pulling me toward the next ride—a spinning teacup attraction just a few steps away. "Teacups next!" she declared, her eyes bright as she led the way. We climbed into a giant yellow teacup, the seats worn but clean, the wheel in the center waiting to be spun. The ride started, and I grabbed the wheel, giving it a quick turn, sending us into a gentle spin. "Ezra!" Aeri squealed, gripping the edge of the cup, her hair flying as we picked up speed. "Slow down, you jerk!" "What, this?" I said, spinning it faster, laughing as she swatted my arm, her giggles mixing with mock outrage. The world outside the teacup blurred, and Aeri’s laughter was the only thing keeping me grounded. When the ride slowed, we stumbled out, dizzy and breathless, Aeri leaning against me for balance. "You’re the worst," she said, but her smile said otherwise, her cheeks flushed from the spin. "Admit it, you loved it," I said, as we wandered toward the next ride, a tilt-a-whirl with bright red cars that had more spins and dips. The line was short, and we hopped in, buckling ourselves into a car that smelled faintly of metal and cotton candy. As the tilt-a-whirl started, the car rocked and spun, the wind picking up as we whipped around. "Aaaa.." Aeri’s yelled in motion and her skirt caught a gust, lifting suddenly, flashing her black panties to the world second before she yelped and pressed it down, her face turning beet red. I coughed, *ahem*, looking away quickly, my own cheeks burning. The people around, their faces also turned red. "Oh my god," Aeri muttered, her hands clamping her skirt in place, her voice a mix of embarrassment and laughter. "Don’t you dare say a word, Ezra." "Me? Say what?" I said, holding up my hands innocently, though my grin gave me away. "I saw nothing. Just something very cute in black." "Sheeeesh Idiot." she said, swatting my arm again. We hit a few more rides—a swinging pirate ship that had us both yelling, a bumper car arena where Aeri rammed me mercilessly, cackling like a villain, and a haunted house that was more cheesy than scary, though she still grabbed my hand when a fake ghost popped out. "Don’t laugh!" she said, squeezing my fingers. "It was startling, okay?" By the time we made it to the Scream Machine, the sun was dipping lower, painting the sky in soft oranges and pinks. The roller coaster towered above us, its tracks rattling as cars zoomed by, riders screaming their lungs out. "Think again, you really want to do this?" I asked, her as we joined the line. She crossed her arms, jutting her chin out. "Yes, all good" she said, exhaling loudly. The ride was a blur of speed and adrenaline, the wind whipping our faces as we looped and dropped, Aeri’s screams mixing with my own whoops of excitement. When we stumbled off, her face was a wild mess, and she leaned against me, laughing so hard she could barely breathe. "Okay, okay, you win," she gasped, holding her sides. "That was insane." "Told you," I said, slinging an arm around her shoulders as we headed under the resting area. "You look tired." I said, holding her close. "Just a little tired and hungry ehehe.." She said with a sweating smile as all her energy was depleted while screaming. "Understandable, even I am hungry." I said sighhing and looking around for a good restaurant nearby.
