RUBY.
Our unexpected visitors ruined my plans for last night. It's not like I had any serious plans but it was still annoying how they barged in on my evening and took over my entire week. Thankfully before I reached the threshold of what I could take from both Clara and Lola, they left me to pack for my 8:00am flight tomorrow.
"Babe, I promise it will just be a few days," Toby said.
"Why can't I come with you?" Yasmin whines as she wraps her arms around him.
I could barely hear the rest of their conversation as Toby kept using his bedroom voice to pacify her whining. I could not help the disgusted look that crossed my face as I watched them. When they started to make out, I decided to give them some space. I made as much noise as possible as I dragged my box out and shut the door but they didn't seem to notice or they just didn't care. "It must be nice" I thought, to be so consumed by someone, whether it was love or obsession, I could not tell.
I checked my watch and it was almost eight but I don't think it should be a problem since we will be flying a private jet. I decided to just get the driver to put my bag in the car and wait for him in the car.
"Finally," I whispered as Toby settled in the car and we started to head to the airport.
When we drove up to the port, I spot the paparazzi and we step down from the car together. He guided me up the stairs to the jet like a perfect gentleman as the cameras clicked away to get the perfect shot. I know it's no coincidence that the paparazzi got wind of our trip, it must have been my mother-in-law's doing. Once we were inside the jet, he dropped his hand from behind my back like he had been holding something spoilt and I tried not to feel offended about it.
Toby settled in a chair with his laptop to do some work and the slutty looking air hostess who had been ignoring me since we boarded hovered over him so rather than watch her flirt with my so called husband so disrespectfully, I decided to leave. I found a cosy bedroom soon enough and took a nap. It felt like I had only been sleeping for a few minutes when it began to rain and then I reluctantly opened my eyes to see Toby grinning from ear to ear while sprinkling water on my face.
"Really? You couldn't have just woken me up like a normal person?" I questioned as I sit up in bed and Tobi stood from where he was above my head looking very pleased with my frustration.
"Well I tried, I would have left you on the jet but the paparazzi might be waiting for us like the last time."
"Well, the show must go on."

"Welcome to the Daniel family resort Mr and Mrs Daniels, My name is Stephen and I am the Manager here. Please let me lead you to your room." The nice man who met us at the parking lot introduced.
"Thank you, Mr Stephen," I said as we started following him to our room but the ever-rude Toby refused to acknowledge the man.
From what we could see, the resort was gorgeous. It was not fully operational as you could see workers all over the place going about their duties, fixing things up and adding the finishing touches.
"There must be a mix-up," I said as soon as we arrived at what is supposed to be our room door.
"Honeymoon Suite." was boldly written on the door.
"Mr. Bankole Daniels made sure this room was ready before any other one and It was made with you two in mind." The manager explained, as he opened the door to the large suite that can be described best as an explosion of flowers.
A trail of rose petals lead to the master bedroom and random bouquets are in fancy flower pots on almost every surface giving the room a fresh fragrance. The manager and the staff who were helping us with our bags left immediately after all our luggage was deposited in our room and Toby followed them, already discussing business with the manager.
Left alone with nothing to do I decided to unpack my things, I was tempted to go through Toby's things then the thought of unpacking for him like a real married couple crossed my mind but I squashed it and decided to explore the suite.
Lunch was laid out for us, so I ate. The meal was delicious as expected. On continuing my exploration, I found out that they left little baskets filled with chocolate and sweets around the room. I was eating a bar of chocolate in the dining area when I heard my phone ring so I raced to the room to get it.
"Hello," I said breathlessly after picking up the call.
"We are having dinner by six, try to look presentable." A voice that sounded like Toby's voice said.
Before I could say anything else he hung up the call, It had to be Toby. I start to go through my clothes and then, I settled on a simple black dress. When it was almost time for dinner, I began to wonder how I would find my way to the venue of the said dinner but then Toby appeared with a host of the kitchen staff who greeted me respectfully and then went ahead to set the dining table and arrange the meals they brought. Toby did not have the decency to greet me, he just kept using his phone until someone knocked on the door.
"Welcome to the resort, Mr. and Mrs. Philipe, this is my lovely wife, Ruby." He said as he ushered the older couple in.
After exchanging pleasantries we settled down and sat to eat. "I am so sorry that we are barging in on your honeymoon like this." Mrs Phillipe turned to me and said as the men kept discussing business.
"Oh no, this isn't our honeymoon," I said with a little chuckle.
"But you are newlyweds, men are tactless at this kind of thing. The last thing you need is company with such a fine woman on your hand." She said to me with a wink causing me to choke on my drink as I imagine what she was implying. I laughed it off and we moved to much safer topics before they finally left. Toby saw them off to the door as he and Mr Philipe rounded up their discussion.
"What are you doing sitting on my bed?" This was the first thing Toby said to me on entering the room.
"Our bed, you mean?" I corrected as I continued to take off my jewellery.
"I know what I said, the bed is mine. The couch looks comfortable enough or better still, the floor just like the last time."
"I'm not sleeping on the couch neither am I going to spend the night on the floor. Those were my stupid times."
"I deserve the bed, I've been working all day."
"The bed is big enough for the both of us."
"I will not sleep on the same bed as you."
"Why are you against us sleeping on the same bed, are you scared you might be tempted to betray your beloved Yasmin?"
Toby bursted out laughing at my question, "tempted by what? Your body? Oh please, you are not my type at all, not even in the least."
"I will be sleeping on the bed!" I yelled, ignoring his hurtful statement before making my way to the bathroom and banging the door behind me.
"Why was I even hurt?" I wondered as I took my shower. It was not news to me that I was not his type, Yasmin was his type and not me so why then did it hurt?
Who cares anyway?
