Five Weeks Chapter 28

This is wrong yet it feels so right. He trusts me even when I've done nothing to gain his trust, Anahita covered Yuvraaj with the quilt and stroked his head gently before tossing a peck on his forehead that was covered with the tufts of his thick hair. I might have given him the wound which would always remain fresh but he trusts me and the person I loved and staked my everything for, didn't take a minute to humiliate me, he never tried to gain my trust even though I stupidly thwacked my trust upon him. She paddled to the deck and pulled the shrug over her frame, hugging herself. She extracted her cellphone from the jeans pocket's and glanced through their pictures. They were looking happy and at peace. How can I have this conflicting thoughts? Whatever has he done, how can I forgive Mukund and alike that, whatever i have done, how can Yuvraaj forgive me? She sighed sliding her cellphone back in the pockets and leaned on to the banister, stroking the wood. Enjoying the blistering sun dipping inside the ocean, radiating like a halo, summoning the night to supersede his presence, Anahita lost the track of time. They were back in their villa. With the culmination of their trip, Anahita had lost the thrill and excitement. Yuvraaj's disturbing words were reverberating in her ears, she was having second thoughts. She was having conflicts and she wanted to sort it out as soon as possible. They had fun with boating and kayaking, clicked lots of photographs and had lots of moments where Yuvraaj had possessively planked her on his chest or kissed her forehead, making her more confused. For she blushed. Instead of finding his touch unpleasant and unwelcoming, she enjoyed it. Despite coiling herself back, she craved for his embrace and intertwined their fingers many times. Her mind and heart was contented with Yuvraaj being around and she was, most importantly, not regretting her decision of trusting him or giving him a positive nod to be his wife. But the innuendo is, she didn't want to bind them in this twenty days term, this time. "What are you doing there?" Yuvraaj's hoarse voice pulled her back in the earth from her thoughts. Anahita craned her neck to see him propping on his elbows, tufts of hair falling freely over his eyes and he yawned. He stretched and ruffled his hair, landing onto his feet. "Back to earth, Anahita." If he is giving me so much, I can at least be a good wife for these days....till fate allows. Determined, she descended down the deck and trudged to Yuvraaj who was now picking up his cellphone from the bedside table and smiled at her. She inched closer and pecked his lips, whispering. "Good evening, dear husband." Surprised, Yuvraaj slipped his cellphone that landed near their feet. Dwarfing his stupor with her passion, Anahita played upon the opportunity and kissed him passionately. Her restless fingers raced to his scalp, pulling the roots of his hair. Yuvraaj crouched low to hoist her in his svelte arms, cinching her waxed legs around his tapered waist. Anahita let out a surprised squeal, clutching his shirt in her fists. Before she could take a gander of his radiating face, she was pressed upon the mattress with his weight crushing her. Following the path of her jaw to the hollow of neck, Yuvraaj didn't leave a nook where his lips didn't shower kisses on her flesh. In heat, Anahita clung onto him for support, her erratic breathes landing them in frenzy. Anahita cupped Yuvraaj's face and pulled him to eye level, kissing him long with fervor. "Yuvraaj... That's....wait." She let out the words amidst her ragged breathing, framing his face securely. Yuvraaj pressed his forehead against her, kissing the tip of her nose. "We should go out more often. It does positive spell upon you." He snickered, sniffing her neck. Anahita burst into laughter, wrapping her arms around his neck and their lips trembled before they laughed hysterically. "Come on, order something. I am starving." Yuvraaj pulled her up and removed the stray locks from her cheeks. He padded to the sofa, took out his towel and strolled inside the bathroom. *** Love; a very simple yet complexed term. A lifetime is less for deciphering the real meaning of it, but yes, to say that one is in love; a moment is enough. Infatuation marks the beginning, possessiveness is the confirmation, jealousy depicts the intensity and confession is the certification how deep your boat has sunk in the abyss of love. Saliently, Anahita is the epitome of the aforementioned paraphrase. The mutinous Anahita had been morphed into a unfamiliar bundle of obedience. Belonging to the bevy who wouldn't take as find, she had become remarkably tolerable to the mood swings of her husband and a maverick in the world of love Yuvraaj had brought home to. The selfless kind. Cocooned in the sheaf of fluffy butter coloured blanket, she rested her head upon his chest and lazily drawled her fingers upon his heartbeats, watching the football match telecasting on the plasma screen tediously. To composite the melting souls, as if the nature was playing cupid and force of gallivant had wrapped them in a sheet, because the mutable inclemency in weather had forced them to stay back in the room and the routine jaunt was completely forbade by Yuvraaj. Munching on her jalapeño cheese sandwich and sniffing with her cold prone red nose, she was resembling a kitten. Tentatively, she rubbed her nose on his shoulder as a wordless invitation for him to toss a kiss upon her forehead, caging her securely in his embrace. "Do you plan to watch this shit stuff whole day?" She asked amending her words, glancing up at his face. Yuvraaj had his eyes glued to the television screen which was bothering Anahita so much. The recent steamy encounter that took place two days ago made her more close to Yuvraaj. The errant five o'clock that had just clung upon Yuvraaj's skull as a result of being bewhiskered for more than three days, slightly grazed her forehead when he frowned down at her, "Language Anahita." "Can't I say shit even? Which world do you belong to?" She pouted, attempting to look innocent. "I know you. You've started with shit and this will go to intermediate level of cussing." Rolling her eyes, Anahita shrugged, escaping out of his arms. "Okay fine. Sorry. Now please shut this off. Let's talk." Without waiting for his reply, she grabbed the remote and switched off the television, eliciting a groan from Yuvraaj. "What do you want to talk?" Yuvraaj's was edgy. He wasn't ready to put a period on the match. "Why didn't you shave?" She asked, distractedly brushing her palm over his scrubbed cheek, her eyes twinkling with the anticipation of the inevitable that had been pretty expected but it never happened. "Force of habit!" Yuvraaj rubbed his morning beard casually also disappointing her. Not that she would ever confess that she missed his touch but she did. Their encounter two days back had the outcome of some unsaid rules from him and foremost of it was less or minimal corporal communication. It shocked and to some extent surprised Anahita that he wouldn't keep his hands to him but his lips would never make contact with hers. She wasn't missing it, definitely not. But it was irking her as to why was he holding himself back, he would kiss her forehead and their intertwined fingers but never for once, he would graze his lips against hers. Now to a point, it annoyed her more than she comprehended and the stubbornness she possessed made it almost next to impossible to accept that she was missing it. Little did she know that her kisses were being stolen on a regular basis when she was in dormancy, peacefully enjoying her slumber. Yuvraaj had steeled himself to not ruin these days just because he couldn't deny the attraction between them. The object was to make cogent sentimental communication which actually is concluded as a vital factor in a marriage. Just because they were not following the conventional pattern, didn't mean he wasn't respectful to the pure bond. Still, to satiate himself and the husband in him who craved for the intimacy, he resorted to kiss her without her knowledge. Sounds like a necrophiliac to him. But he just couldn't help. "Or are you lazy enough to not grab a trimmer? Huh?" She intoned, pulling out the Kleenex and wiped her nose, discarding the tissue in nearby trash can. Yuvraaj chortled and rubbed his cheek on her palms, teasing her. The loss of game was being compensated with her smile. "Shoo. You're going to give me hair burns." She giggled and pulled back her hand, "I wanted to ask this since a long time, why Sardinia?" "Huh?" "Why did you plan to come here? If you had a destination in your mind why did it have to be Sardinia? You decided it or Aai?" She knew Yuvraaj would never say no to his mother and the extent of his passiveness towards shopping and outing was telling her that it wasn't his decision. "Do you think mom would decide where I want to go on my 'honeymoon'?" He air quoted the words, rolling his eyes. "That's definitely me." He snorted wounded. Anahita squatted beside him as he went on. "I chose this place because this is definitely not renowned for its haute couture and I wanted to hold your hands not the shopping bags." He smirked widened as he presented another reason. "And, you're a mouse when it comes to adventures, ergo I had more chances to infuse romanticism." "Mouse?" Anahita pouted, her eyebrows began to furrow. Yuvraaj chuckled at his own expense and dived to capture her lips. Heat seared up from her neck, enough to grill two rinds of Bacon, as she widened her eyes in surprise. The kiss was brief and soft unlike their earlier encounter, it was purely affectionate. Anahita didn't get the chance to intensify it. Her further gravelled mewl certified the disappointment when Yuvraaj decamped to his earlier posture. His eyes didn't leave her face, they were teasing her. Unconsciously, Anahita couldn't bring herself to hold his gaze. Her cheeks warmed and she bit her lips fiddling her fingers to ebb away the coyness that was obvious. Hurriedly filling a glass with water, she chugged it straight down her throat. "Anahita..." Yuvraaj crooned. His voice was gagged up. Getting no response, he wrestled with his smile and put his chin on her shoulder, scooping her in a back hug. "A bird told me that drinking water won't help in redness to fade away. It will pass with the passage of time, don't worry, Mou." His remark made her blush deep and she shrugged her shoulders. Yuvraaj fell on his back laughing like a whimsical. "I..I will just come." Throwing the blanket aside, she sprinted inside the bathroom and glanced at her reflection, she could've competed with a beetroot by then and the heat had made hair of her neck stand. She grinned, leaning onto the sink and rinsed her face. "Ahhh....get a grip Anu. He didn't mean it, he was just teasing you, alright? You know how he can be. Chill." Her soliloquy finally calmed her. She took the towel from the stand and came out drying her face. She threw the towel on the couch. That's when the sudden silence registered itself in her brain. Her eyes roamed around to notice Yuvraaj but he was suddenly vanished into thin air. "Where did he go?" Plasma was still on and the glass door that separated their deck and bedroom was open. She grabbed her cellphone and dialed his number but to her utter dismay, he had left his cellphone on the bed. She sighed cutting the call. The wind was becoming torturous. She thought to slid off the door. Padding to the deck, she let the wild breeze play with her hair. Weather was still not clement. It was highly advised against to go to the beach by the hotel management. The calm posture she held was disturbed when she saw two figures wading out from waters. Since the view was far and it was almost dusk, she couldn't make it out who it was. She squinted her eyebrows and tried to have a better look. In the back of her mind, she immediately recalled the hotel healthcare center's number. "Shit! Who in their right minds would go to sea at this time? Damn! Haven't they heard the warnings?" She wore her shoes, muttering crossly and wrapped the coat around her frame before running out to lend them a hand. "Hey, are you al.....Yuvraaj!" She scowled deep as she saw a completely drenched Yuvraaj - A naked chest completely drenched Yuvraaj - hoisting a mysterious woman in his arms who was unconscious. He walked past her making her more antagonised. I was unnecessarily worried because he intended to be someone's guardian fairy. Of course, of a bikinied woman. She thought bitterly, rooting to her spot and glared his back. "Anahita..." Yuvraaj increased his pitch making her snapped out. "What?" She responded in respective tone. Bitterness evident on her face. Yuvraaj took a minute to study her and sighed. "I am saying, help me with her. Where are you lost?" "What must I have to do?" She snaps. Judging the relentlessness in her voice, Yuvraaj decided to handle her later but that moment, the woman in his arms should be treated. "Call the hotel staff and if possible, take one of your dress for her. We need to dress her." He commanded, entering the suite with Anahita following him like a lost puppy and deposited the lady on their bed. Her wet body ruined their bedspread and pillows. "This is our bed, Yuvraaj. Couldn't you put her on the couch? And who the hell asked her to swim at this time? At six in the evening in this weather?" She objected. Receiving a daft demand from her, Yuvraaj eyed her oddly, "What has bitten you now? It's not like she's going to sleep here with us for the whole night. Why are you fretting?" "Yes, of course, she is not going to sleep here. And I am not fretting, go and change your clothes. You're wet." She murmured, picking out his T-shirt from the cupboard and swung at him. Taking the drift, Yuvraaj scooted in the bathroom, meanwhile Anahita changed the woman in a decent frock of hers. "You better get well soon, Missy." She intoned before opening the door for the manager and doctor who was there to treat the woman. Yuvraaj came by her side as the Doctor examined the woman. "Is she alright doctor?" Yuvraaj asked instantly receiving a cruel glare from Anahita. "Yes. She must have swallowed sea water and that's why she is unconscious. I have vaccinated her the needful and she will be fine within few hours." Doctor replied, walking out with everyone tailing behind him. Anahita locked the bedroom door behind her and paced up to not miss anything. "I am sorry for the inconvenience Sir but I really appreciate your gesture. The lady could've been in danger if you would've have appeared at right time." The manager smiled at Yuvraaj. "If you don't mind Sir, I've a request to made." On Yuvraaj's nod, he continued. "We still have no news on her family yet and she is in stupor. So will you please have her here until her identity gets confirmed and we get some news over her family?" Yuvraaj's eyes immediately shifted on Anahita. She sternly mouthed a No with no nonsense demeanor. Clearing his throat, Yuvraaj pinched the bridge of his nose taking a few minutes to contemplate. Given the situation, he couldn't help but nod in affirmation. The manager thanked him, immediately taking his leave. Yuvraaj locked the door and turned to Anahita sheepishly. She glared him and zoomed inside the bedroom after shutting the door with a bang.
