Theodore could bet that he was powerful, and after every hunt, he was getting more powerful than before.
“And yeah!! Liara asked me to tell you that ‘Everything is over between you two after you wake up.’ I know you never wanted her. So, maybe it is better for both of you because she is someone who is born to be loved and you…. You always say that you’re incapable of love.” Alaric said and watched Theodore’s expression, which didn’t react again.
“By the way, what had you discovered because of which of which you lost control over your mind?” Alaric asked.
“The truth. The truth was that I had spent a century living in a nothing but lie. The truth that… my mother was a werewolf, and all this time, her son was killing her people for…. for no reason. Inigo lost my mind when that stupid hunter killed Ozul, whom I wanted to kill.” Theodore said, gritting his teeth. Hearing this, Alaric’s facial color paled more than it already was.
“Don’t tell me that you will now start killing each and every vampire in this whole?” Alaric questioned and waited, waited and waited for Theodore’s reply, but he again decided not to speak. And at that moment, he saw something for the first time in his vampire’s life.
‘Tears in Theodore’s eyes.’
They rolled out of his eyes, and he didn’t mind showing them to Alaric. “Beasty?” Alaric reached near him, wondering did those silver bullets damaged some part of his brain or something.
“I’m tired now, Alaric. My feet are tired.” Theodore whispered. “I just want to sleep peacefully in my mate’s lap.” More tears rolled out of his eyes. “She kept telling me that I should leave the past behind and move on in my life, but I was so engrossed with my hatred that today I’m sitting here, crying at my misery, crying over at fact that I ruined everything.”
“The one who created me, she made me one of the strongest creatures but deep down, I feel so weak that I just want to kill myself.”
"Hey, dare you to say like that. I'm with you. I'm not Liara, but I can offer you my lap if you want to sleep peacefully." He offered after sitting on the ground, crossing his legs.
He tried to enlighten Theodore's mood, but it looked like it didn't work. From the moment Theodore heard that Liara left a last message for him, stating that everything was over, he felt like he couldn't breathe.
He couldn't blame her for what she said, but at the same time, he couldn't control the way his body was reacting to his news; his heart was becoming heavier, and tears were rolling out of his eyes without his control.
'Stop crying like a fool, idiot. She just said that it's over between us but hasn't rejected us until now. So, wipe your tears and think about the way how are you going to apologize to her for hurting her, for breaking her trust, and of course, for stabbing her father.' Inigo growled in their mind. 'I really hope that old man would have survived, OR we will have to take another birth to win our mate's heart.'
Theodore wiped his tears, realizing what Inigo was saying was true. If he was planning to kill himself, then why not die at the hand of his brother-in-law?
If Liara didn't want him, then he didn't want to live either. After all, he couldn't find a reason to live.
