At the same time, he wasn't at all surprised by the way Liara showed no hatred toward vampires because her heart was pure as gold.
"I am the one because of which he is inside the pack. So, anyone who needs to be punished for this is me, not him. I will request you to let him go." Liara said, more like requested.
'Ah. Playing with words. What are you trying to hide, Lee? It's positive now that you're just protecting him.' Colton realized, hearing her words, and walked out of that place to ignore this drama. Kane's words were playing in his mind that no one had the memory of the last twenty-four hours. That either meant that any vampire who had the power to control the mind erased their memory, but that chance was very slim because to do that, that vampire would have to look into every pack member's eyes.
So, a witch did this.
'Does that mean even Lee doesn't know anything about last night? I've got to talk to her about it.' Colton thought and messaged his men to do one of his work.
"Fine!! Let him go." Kane ordered, still glaring at Liara. He wasn't going to leave her that easily for this insult. "Liara Haysbert, into my office. And all of you, get back to your work." He ordered because dashing from there.
Liara nodded her head even though he had already left. The new Beta Leo Gilbert signaled to unlock the silver chain that was tied around Alaric's hands and legs.
Liara helped him to stand on his feet. It looked like everyone had beaten the shit out of him before because Alaric had a hard time standing straight.
"Alpha asked you in his office right now," Leo said, more like ordered in anger.
"Give me five minutes. I can't let him go in this state." Liara replied calmly.
"Didn't you hear 'RIGHT NOW'?" Leo asked arrogantly.
"I know you're doing your duty, Beta Leo. But I'm also doing my job. I'm going to be a doctor, and I can't let any injured creature in pain." She replied calmly again, but her eyes glowed. Leo Gilbert gritted his teeth but didn't say anything next because he knew even her brother was around, and he just couldn't say anything to Liara, not when she was doing her job.
Liara ran away from there to get the medicine that would help him in healing faster because of silver's injuries. Alaric was out of words with what had happened recently.
Every werewolf was staring at him in anger, disgust, and hatred, except her. His mind was trying to find reasons because of why she saved his life but couldn't find any.
She took the entire blame on herself for saving his life, even though they barely knew each other. He recalled how he had attacked her when she reached near him and Theodore for her books.
"Here, take these two pills. It will heal you instantly." She returned back with two different pills in her hand. The previous Alaric would have doubted her before taking the pills but not this one. He grabbed those pills and finally asked the question in the presence of the Beta, who was looking at them without blinking his eyes.
"Why?"
"Because Darkness cannot drive out Darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." Liara replied with a smile before adding, "Never return back, OR I won't be able to save you next time." With that, she left from there toward Alpha Kane's office. Even Alaric started to leave when Leo blocked his way.
"Stay here." He ordered.
"Why? The Alpha ordered to let me go." Alaric replied, reminding him. Leo didn't reply to him anything but smirk. Alaric didn't have to study psychology to realize that something was definitely cooking between him and his Alpha.
Alaric observed how the warriors were playing with the silver chains, and the Beta himself was playing with the silver sword as if they were ready to attack him if required, but he couldn't understand the reason why they were behaving like this.
Alaric watched Beta's eye flip for a while as if someone's mind linked him.
"Okay!! Now, you can leave." He said with a sinister smile. Alaric wanted to stay and find out what had happened in the past couple of minutes, but Leo grabbed him by his collar and started dragging him out of the pack. "If you are having a problem in leaving from here, then I can throw, leech." He hissed and pushed Alaric out of the pack.
Alaric stood there for a while before disappearing into the forest because he was feeling damn too hungry.
"Follow him," Colton ordered his ring and threw it away to get that job done. He waited for Liara to come out of the Alpha's office. He knew that no matter what, Liara wouldn't get expelled from the college. The worst, she would receive a warning note or might get suspended for a week or two.

"Aww.... stop crying," Kane said and tried to wipe Liara's tears, but she moved away. He gritted his teeth and pulled her close in anger. "Where the hell are you trying to run away, huh?" He asked and wiped her tears.
Liara didn't want him to touch her, but she bit her inner cheeks to keep her mouth shut.
