The man exhaled a breath—a cold, chilling breath. With a wave of his hand, the tombstone flew away, followed by a slap on the ground.
Under the influence of mysterious powers, the ground began to wriggle and slowly cracked open, the coffin beneath was lifted to the surface by the soil.
The man slowly stood up, and with a “snap,” placed his hand on top of the coffin. With a slight force, a “crack” sound followed as the nails sealing the coffin all broke simultaneously, and the lid was opened.
Inside the coffin, a woman in her twenties lay quietly, motionless. Her eyes tightly shut, her long eyelashes fluttered in the night breeze, as if she were merely asleep, ready to awaken at any moment.
“Sofia…” the man’s voice trembled, his eyes wide with excitement and agitation. The next moment he reached out to touch her, but withdrew his hand as quickly as lightning the moment he touched her skin.
The man took several deep breaths, trying to calm his emotions. He then extended his hands, lifted the woman from the coffin, and gently set her down on the ground.
Gazing intently at the woman, the man slowly said, “Sofia, my love, death is not the end, nor can it keep us apart. Whether you believe it or not, I am no longer the little Wizard Apprentice I once was. I am far more powerful than anyone can imagine, even capable of controlling the power of death. Now, I will resurrect you, and we will be together forever.”
With that, the man bent down and tenderly kissed the woman.
