Seeing the "resurrected" Golden Patterned Silver Snake attacking him again, Bata was rather surprised, but trusting in his own strength, he did not truly panic.
His lips parted slightly, and as he cast a spell, his arms’ flesh writhed beneath his skin, rapidly turning a rocky gray-green color. The hair on his arms stood on end like iron needles.
With a loud sound, Bata forcefully grasped the silver-colored body biting toward his throat.
The Silver Snake bent its body, biting back at his wrist, but despite much effort, it failed to even leave a mark.
Bata sneered, grabbed the Silver Snake by its tail, and with a forceful yank, whipped it toward the ground as if holding a whip.
The Silver Snake’s body made a crisp sound as it contacted the ground, but it did not die.
Bata exerted force again, making the Silver Snake’s body hit the ground, yet still it struggled, trying hard to escape from his grip.
After three attempts, Bata realized the Silver Snake’s life force was extremely tenacious, and that ordinary attacks could not kill it. He steeled his heart, threw the snake on the ground, clenched his fist, and hammered down on the Silver Snake harshly.
"Bang bang bang bang bang bang!"
The enormous force transmitted, causing the ground to slightly tremble.
After more than a dozen punches, the Silver Snake’s head was flattened, and it finally died.
Bata stood up, slightly out of breath, and muttered to himself, "Indeed a bit troublesome, but only just troublesome. Once angered, still dies. Isn’t that right, Wizard Richard?"
Richard responded, "Wizard Bata, you should finish off the rest before you say that."
"Eh?" Bata blinked, slightly startled, and swiftly turned his head to look at the hole from which the Silver Snake had emerged, his mouth slightly agape.
He then saw, following the death of the first Silver Snake, a continuous hissing sound arose as one Silver Snake after another emerged from the hole.
If one Silver Snake had already taken so much effort to kill, how could he deal with so many?
But he had no more time to think. Numerous Silver Snakes, as if they recognized him, simultaneously lunged at him.
Bata cursed aloud, gritted his teeth, his eyes bulging, and he stomped his feet hard, breaking the ground to create large cracks, with both of his lower legs sinking below the surface.
Multiple parts of his body lit up, activating the Magic Tools he wore. Once activated, he bent at the waist, pressed his hands against the ground, and the soil on the ground, as if alive, rapidly surged toward his body, adhering to and hardening on its surface.
Almost in the blink of an eye, he was clad in a dark green, rocky armor covering his entire body.
"A bunch of maggots, just die!" Bata yelled at the Silver Snakes and swung his heavy stone fist, smashing down harshly.
With a "bang," blood splattered and flesh flew.
Though the Silver Snakes were formidable, they could not resist the full force of Bata, a First-level Middle Stage Wizard.
Next, Bata began a fierce rampage.
After about fifteen minutes, the Silver Snakes in the entire hall were either dead or severely injured. The dark rock Armor on Bata’s body fell off piece by piece, revealing his true body.
"Huff, huff, huff..." Bata gasped heavily, sweating profusely. He did not seem at ease.
Richard was still standing outside the hall, watching Bata. "Wizard Bata, how do you feel now? If you are tired, you can go outside and rest."
Hearing Richard’s words, Bata took a deep breath, trying to regain his composure. He looked back and smiled, "No need for Wizard Richard to be so concerned about me, I’m fine. Speaking of which, I owe it to you for providing me with so many Magic Tools, especially the ring you just gave me. Because of it, I could more easily cast the ’Green Rock Armor’ Spell and deal with those troublesome Silver Snakes easily."
"Alright then," said Richard, no longer trying to persuade Bata to leave. He stepped into the hall, walked past the snake corpses, went straight across the hall, and headed toward another corridor directly opposite.
Wizard Bata, stopping in the hall, watched Richard’s retreating figure and took the time to catch his breath, "Huff, huff, huff." Then, setting his expression, he quickly caught up.
The two of them moved forward in the new corridor.
This corridor was similar to the previous one, but there were fewer glowing Fluorite stones, and most appeared somewhat dim as if nearly depleted of energy. The atmosphere inevitably turned somewhat eerie.
Both maintained the necessary vigilance as they proceeded, still encountering no attacks, and smoothly reached the second hall.
Outside the door of the second hall, Richard stopped and looked inside.
Taking a lesson from the previous experience, Bata also smartly stayed beside Richard to observe. If Richard didn’t go in, neither would he.
But this time, Richard only glanced briefly before walking in.
It was evident that this second hall had undergone quite a change compared to the first one; it had grown significantly larger, nearly a thousand square meters, almost bigger than two basketball courts combined.
In the middle of the hall stood four tall stone statues, looking lifelike as if they were alive.
Richard walked straight up to the statues and squinted at them. After a moment, his pupils slightly narrowed, and a faint blue sheen surfaced on his eyeballs. He was casting the "Eye of Gaze" Spell to probe.
Outside, Bata realized that Richard hadn’t encountered any attacks and, fearing he might miss something important, quickly walked in. Approaching the statues curiously, he reached out to touch them.
Richard snapped his head around, looking at Bata, and warned, "Wizard Bata, you’d better not touch those things."
"Eh? What’s wrong, Wizard Richard, is there danger? Ha ha, you’re just trying to scare me, right?" Bata said, as his hand already landed on one.
"Snap," there was a light sound as Bata’s hand touched the statue.
Richard stomped his foot without any hesitation and swept out of the hall entrance. In the blink of an eye, he was back outside.
Bata was stunned, and a sense of foreboding filled him, but he still retorted stubbornly, "Wizard Richard, what are you afraid of? It doesn’t seem like anything is happening..."
He never managed to finish his sentence, as sounds started coming from all four walls of the hall.
The "swoosh, swoosh, swoosh" sounds of dense arrows flying out began, aiming at him.
Bata’s eyes flashed, and he said, "Arrow attack? That doesn’t seem like much?"
Indeed, it was nothing. Richard had resisted similar attacks back in the Blue Lion Kingdom, and Bata, as a First-level Middle Stage Wizard, naturally wouldn’t be scared.
With a wave of his hand, Bata gathered the air around him, forming an Air Shield on all four sides.
