“Huh.” Richard exhaled, fixating his gaze on the redhead with slight furrow in his brow. “What if I don’t leave it?”
The redhead angered, waved his hand towards his companions, “Teach him a lesson! Let him know our power!”
“Whoosh,” the weapon-bearing crowd, while part of them continued their assault on the surrounded muscular men, the rest surged towards Richard.
Richard’s expression turned to one of resignation.
Was this trouble completely unprovoked?
With a light sigh, Richard placed the wooden box on the ground to prevent damage and then faced the approaching armed men.
A man wielding a rusty longsword swung down. Richard dodged swiftly, then kicked out, sending the attacker flying like a bird with broken wings, knocking down several others in the process.
Another swung an ax. Richard struck the man’s wrist causing him to drop his weapon in pain. Then, Richard clenched his fist and struck hard at the man’s chest.
“Bang!” The man spat blood as he flew backward.
Another with a longsword swung down. Richard moved like lightning, pinching the blade between his fingers, yanking forcefully to throw off the attacker’s balance. Grabbing the man’s clothes, Richard swung him like a weapon, striking the steadily approaching attackers.
“Bang, bang, bang!” The sounds of impacts filled the air followed by the breaking of bones as a group swiftly collapsed.
Yet, more continuously rushed forward fiercely.
Richard watched, shaking his head and muttering to himself, “Admirable courage, but… why bother.”
In the next moment, Richard kicked an oncoming attacker into the air, then pulled out a small tube of gold potion—an undiluted “Spartan Heroic Potion” from his pocket.
He opened the lid, took a small sip, fully stretching his body. Looking at the crowd, he calmly spoke, “How about we negotiate something? You all come at once… I’m in a hurry.”
“Damn it! Kill this guy!” The weapon-bearing crowd felt scorned and surged forward angrily in a furious uproar.
