Chapter 178: Chapter 177 Wail
The Elite Siren, after being blasted away and standing up, let out a fierce roar as if relaying some message. The other Elite Sirens, upon hearing it, slightly changed their gaze in their eyes and collectively turned to Robin before charging out.
“Block them!” Robin shouted, and the other apprentices quickly launched their spells.
“Swoosh swoosh swoosh!”

Beams of light flew out, striking the chests of the attacking Elite Sirens and then bursting open. Amidst the torrential rain, there were explosive roars and fleeting flashes of firelight.
The Elite Sirens stumbled and tottered, their attack speed slowed down.
After seeing this, Robin slightly relaxed and then his gaze sharpened. He reached into his collar and violently pulled out a necklace worn around his neck. The necklace had a green stone hanging from it, resembling a miniature green heart.
Gripping the stone tightly, Robin shouted and recited the spell amidst the storm.
Streaks of green light shone through the gaps between Robin’s fingers, as if a green sun were exploding in the palm of his hand.
“Die, all of you!” Robin bellowed, hurling the green stone he was holding down onto the deck, releasing a large amount of green light that turned the entire deck green.
In the green light, thick vines rapidly grew, spreading across the deck. Then, as if sentient, they grasped and wildly entwined the bodies of the Elite Sirens, attempting to bind their entire bodies.
The Elite Sirens, sensing something was wrong, tore at the vines with their claws. But the vines regenerated quickly – almost as soon as the Elite Sirens tore them off, they wrapped around again.
In the blink of an eye, most of the Elite Sirens who had climbed onto the deck were controlled by the vines.
“Attack! Now, let’s kill all these hybrids,” Robin yelled.
Hearing Robin’s words, everyone hesitated wasting no time. The Wizard Apprentices unleashed powerful Attack Magic on the Elite Sirens, while the other more ordinary students also provided supporting attacks where they could.
A few Elite Sirens not controlled by Robin’s spell saw their comrades in distress and roared as they attacked to help, but they were blocked.
One of the Elite Sirens, dazed or something, veered away from the main battlefield and charged toward Richard.
Richard’s eyes narrowed as he watched the Elite Siren rush toward him. He quickly dodged to the side, and when the Elite Siren changed direction, clearly targeting him, Richard raised an eyebrow and his eyebrows furrowed slightly.

Richard quickly dodged to the side.
The mermaid missed and took a step forward to continue attacking, while Richard continued to dodge.

With a “swoosh,” the elite siren swung its claw down, almost tearing his clothes, forcing Richard to roll on the deck to dodge. The elite siren immediately lifted its leg, stepping towards Richard.
Richard calmly swung his sword, striking the edge of the elite siren’s lower limb.
The elite siren screamed in pain, its movements momentarily slowed, allowing Richard a chance to roll away again. At the same time, he glanced toward the main battlefield and saw that the situation wasn’t good for the Wizard Apprentices and the others.
There were more elite sirens on the main battlefield, and a Wizard Apprentice named Robin, while able to control them momentarily with magic, couldn’t keep it up indefinitely. “Robin, take a break, I’ll take over for now. You all keep attacking,” shouted the skinny Wizard Apprentice.
The other Wizard Apprentices, hearing this, didn’t hesitate and quickly resumed their attacks.
A female apprentice, who had been reciting a spell for a while, created a slender and crystalline ice spear about a meter long in the rain. With a swing, she thrust the ice spear deeply into the most severely injured elite siren, finally killing it.
With the pressure slightly reduced, the apprentices redirected their attacks toward the remaining elite sirens.
Richard shifted his gaze away, reassured that no more elite sirens would come his way. However, the elite siren he had slashed in the limb attacked again.
Richard’s eyes flickered.
The elite siren stepped forward, trying to crush Richard’s body, but Richard rolled to dodge. While dodging the elite siren’s attack, he swung his sword again, striking the same spot on the limb he had wounded before.
Blood flowed from the elite siren’s limb, and it cried out in pain, its body staggering.
The next moment, the elite siren steadied itself, looking at Richard as if it wanted to devour him. With rage and defiance, it fiercely stepped down again, seemingly determined to crush Richard.
Richard’s gaze slightly sharpened, he rolled his body, and then delivered a third strike close to the previous wounds on the elite siren’s limb.
