Over ten minutes later, Jiang Ning drove to the base of Qi Corporation’s building.
Qi Corporation was involved in numerous industries, and its building was also very imposing.
Qi Xingzhou’s Changzhou Technology was a subsidiary under Qi Corporation, and its office was located inside the Qi Corporation building.
As Jiang Ning was about to send a message to Qi Xingzhou upon entering the building, a young man resembling an assistant noticed her and quickly approached, "Hello, are you Miss Jiang?"
Jiang Ning looked up and responded, "Yes, I am."
The young man smiled and said, "I am Chen Shi, the assistant. Mr. Qi asked me to come down to meet you. Miss Jiang, this way, please."
"All right," Jiang Ning replied, knowing he was specially sent by Qi Xingzhou, she followed Chen Shi.
Earlier, Qi Xingzhou had invited Jiang Ning to visit the company, and thinking she didn’t have much else to do today, she nodded in agreement.
Qi Xingzhou was so thrilled that he immediately said he would wait downstairs for her arrival, his excitement palpable even through the screen.
Jiang Ning hadn’t expected her casual agreement to make him so happy but still stopped him from coming down personally. She was only stopping by for a casual look and didn’t want to make a fuss.
Heeding Jiang Ning’s words, Qi Xingzhou didn’t come down personally but sent his assistant instead.
Chen Shi led Jiang Ning into the elevator.
The elevator ascended slowly and stopped at the eleventh floor.
"We have arrived, Miss Jiang," Chen Shi said politely.
Jiang Ning followed him out of the elevator and immediately saw the bright ’Changzhou Technology’ letters and the logo representing Changzhou Technology Company on the wall ahead.
It was clear that this entire floor belonged to Changzhou Technology.
Chen Shi led Jiang Ning past the front desk, through the office area, and continued inward.
Finally, they reached the last office at the end of the hallway, where Chen Shi paused, knocked on the closed office door, and said to the person inside, "Mr. Qi, Miss Jiang is here."
Rapid, hurried footsteps came from within.
Seconds later, the office door was opened from the inside, and Qi Xingzhou’s tall and upright figure appeared.
He was close to one meter ninety, towering over Chen Shi who was only one meter seventy-five. Qi Xingzhou looked straight past Chen Shi, his intense gaze fixing directly on Jiang Ning.
Chen Shi felt suddenly slighted.
Aware of his place, he moved aside a few steps, "Mr. Qi, I’ll go make some tea."
"Okay," Qi Xingzhou nodded.
With Chen Shi gone, Qi Xingzhou’s normally aloof expression couldn’t hold back any longer when he was alone with Jiang Ning, and the lip corners that involuntarily lifted on seeing Jiang Ning now turned into a full smile.
"Jiang Ning, come in and have a seat," Qi Xingzhou said excitedly, swinging open the door wider and inviting her to tour his office.
"Okay," Jiang Ning nodded and stepped inside.
Once inside, Jiang Ning realized that Qi Xingzhou’s office was quite large and spacious, decorated in a simple yet grand style, with floor-to-ceiling windows that were clean and bright.
Standing in front of the window, looking out at the skyscrapers, she commented, "You have a great view from your office."
Before, Qi Xingzhou had never felt anything special about his office; to him, it was just a place for work, like going to a restaurant for a meal.
But watching Jiang Ning walk around his office now, Qi Xingzhou suddenly felt a weird and covert sense of fulfillment and satisfaction.
He couldn’t describe or understand this feeling, and chose to believe it was just happiness from Jiang Ning visiting his office for the first time.
Hearing Jiang Ning’s compliment, Qi Xingzhou’s eyes brightened, and almost without thinking, he blurted out, "You office? Then I’ll ask my brother to give it to you."
Jiang Ning: "...Stop."
This was prime real estate in Capital City, not to mention in the heart of the business district.
She turned to look back at Qi Xingzhou, who initially seemed aloof and distant, but once familiar, he liked to give things away! Constantly giving anything and everything!
She couldn’t tell where he had learned this behavior from, somewhat resembling the foolish son of a landlord.
