Although it took her some time to figure it out, she knew the inhuman pain started right after that black light entered her glabella despite her effort to get away from it and block it.
But nothing seemed to work no matter what she did, and even her defensive soul treasure failed to stop it. However, her nightmare started right after that black streak entered her body, and that static voice suddenly rang in her mind, and a corporeal projection appeared in front of her.
First, she thought she had overreacted and hallucinated because of her rage, yet the moment she thought about skinning Ace alive for his folly, that static voice sounded again. This time, it came with that terrifying, torturous pain!
At that moment, she was in utter disbelief because she knew no one could inflict that kind of pain on her, not even a king.
When the pain started, she really thought she would die, and all she could think about was her hatred for Ace, but then that devilish voice rang again.

Although that pain lessened a bit by then, she still felt terrible, and the more she thought about it, the more she resented Ace. She suffered like that for hours while she tried every method to lessen the pain until she finally felt despair.
Just when she was about to go crazy and even thinking about taking her life to end that pain, at that moment, it finally hit her as she remembered hearing that voice at the very start of the 'rules and regulations.
When she tried to think about it, the projection appeared again, and this time, she didn't brush it off, and upon understanding what had happened, she instantly realized the reason behind this pain.
She then quickly hid her killing intent towards Ace, and just like that, the pain vanished, leaving her flabbergasted. But the next moment, her rage boiled again, and she again showed killing intent towards Ace, and the moment that devilish voice rang again and started the torment again.
Appalled, she quickly suppressed her killing intent, and that pain vanished. All she could do was scream her heart out because, at that moment, she had realized that she had fallen to Ace's schemes, and now she was right where he wanted her to be.
Afterward, she came back looking , and now, seeing Ace's victorious smile, she knew she had been defeated. She still had no idea how or what Ace had done, but she knew it had something to do with that token and that devilish voice.
"What did you do?!" She asked through gritted teeth as her voice hoarse.
Seeing Zaria's defeated appearance, Ace felt great, and he didn't pity her since she had brought this upon herself.
"I've warned you that you'll regret it. I even asked you to let me go amiably, yet you were too blinded by your arrogance, and now you have suffered because of it. Tell me, Zaria, was it worth keeping me here just to satisfy your little ego?" He impassively questioned.
"You cocky bastard!" She cursed and was about to lose her calm when that voice rang again, and she quickly squeaked before suppressing her killing intent.
"Get this thing out of my head, and then get the fuck out here! I don't want to see you here ever again!" She finally gave in as she knew she had been outplayed and outsmarted and learned her lesson.
Ace clicked his tongue before shaking his head, "I'm afraid it's already too late. Now, I can't take it back even if I want to.
"Now, let me introduce myself; I'm Ace White, and congratulations on becoming a member of Thief House, Zaria Fei Amber. I'm your house leader, and you are now part of our small family whether you like it or not." He beamed charmingly.
"Like hell I am!" Zaria retorted as she wanted to punch Ace's smug Ace.
"No, you are." Ace shook his head, "Now if you calm down and take a seat, I'll explain it to you. Although this might not look like it, it's a huge opportunity, a blessing in disguise.
"Under the Mortal Ascension Heaven, I'm the only one who can grant you this opportunity. Though you weren't my optimal choice, you are simply too unreasonable, and now here we are.
"The only way to leave the Thief House is through Death, and I don't think you should choose this route; just think about what it'll do to your little sister." Ace solemnly stated.
"Don't you dare bring her into this!" Zaria clenched her fists as she glared at Ace menacingly.
But she knew she was now completely under Ace's mercy, just like Ace was under hers; she never thought she would feel , and the more she thought about how she had fallen into this on her own accord, the more unwilling she felt and angry towards herself.
After her outburst, she took a deep breath and looked at Ace before she gritted her teeth, "Tell me, what the hell are you talking about, and who exactly are you? Just what is this thing inside my head!"
Ace sighed in relief since the sooner Zaria accepted her fate, the sooner he could convince her, and he knew once she found out the benefits and truth about the thief's house, she would soon be thanking him.
"Alright, but first thing first, I'm going to appoint you as the Lucky Thief, which activates your status. Once you see it, it'll be easier to explain." Ace stated before that he chose the thief genre without waiting for her confirmation.
At this moment, Zaria suddenly heard that voice again, and a hint of panic appeared in her eyes as she thought Ace was going to torture her again and about cursed him for being a sadist.
But nothing like that happened as she started at new words in the projection.
