"FINALLY, I caught you!"
Ramil was surprised to hear that familiar voice that made him raise his head.
He has a lot of work to do. He couldn't explain it, but since Tessa lived in his house, he was inspired to do everything he needed.
"What do you need, Selena?" he asked after looking at the girl for a moment, then he quickly returned his gaze to what he was doing.
The woman let out a soft laugh and sat down on the edge of her desk. At that point, Ramil reacted quickly.
"What are you doing? Can't you see that there are two chairs in front of this table? Sit there," he said deliberately lowering his voice out of concern that someone else might hear.
"Isn't there anyone else in your office? It's just the two of us," she said to him, humming as if sulking, and then stood up and followed what he wanted to happen.
Ramil sighed at Selena’s words then shook his head and returned his attention to what he was doing.
"I have been waiting for your calls," it was Selena again when he stayed busy working.
"I have a lot of work to attend to," was his short answer.
"Didn't you always have time for me then? Why are you like this now? You don’t you like me anymore?" the woman kept asking.
Ramil took a deep breath again as if he was tired, and then he thought to better focus on the woman. He knows and is sure that she will not stop until she gets what she wants. And that was her attention.
"You know what my original plan is to talk to you one of these days. When I'm not at work. But since you have already come here, I will tell you the truth," he began.
He knows that the next scenes will not be easy and that is how Selena can accept what he has to say. But he also doesn't want to have any complications with her. What he means is that he wants to ease everything in his life. And that will only happen if he ends his relationship with the women who are actually his "fuck buddies”.
"What do you mean?" Selena asked him in a worried tone.
That's when Ramil looked Selena straight in the eyes and then he opened his mouth to start explaining.
"Everything is clear to you, isn't it? Since the beginning of our agreement, there was no emotional attachment. Right?” he said to the girl.
Selena nodded as he slowly began to see the worry on her face.
"I want to fix my life, Selena. And so is yours. I want to give you a chance to see and meet a man who will truly love you. And that will only happen if we put an end to all of this,” he continued in a tone longing to be understood.
Ramil quickly saw a change in the emotion on the face of the beautiful woman in front of him. And even though he didn't admit it, he also felt pity for her.
"You do not like me anymore? Is that what you mean?” the girl asked him almost in a whisper.
Ramil let out a heavy sigh. After that, he opened his mouth again to speak.
"Not that because I don't like you. But what I want is for my life to be in order," he explained.
"That's it. Why don't we take everything seriously? I love you, Ramil, that's the truth," Selena confessed to him.
Ramil didn't know how he should really feel because the young lady confessed that to him. The truth is that since he met Tessa, the woman has changed him a lot.
"What you want to happen is not easy, I'm sorry," he said to her.
Maybe, if he was the way he was before he met Tessa, he might be honest with Selena.
Whether he admits it or not, he really didn't have the courtesy to speak before. He only put the brakes on Lara because he really wanted to get that girl.
But now, what happened to him, and why suddenly everything seems to have changed?
Or maybe it's better to just remove the word "maybe" because it's true that a lot has changed in him.
He hasn't been thinking about Lara these past few days. Because his mind has been more occupied by Tessa.
He comes home early to see her. And he likes the feeling that he is always caught her waiting for him in his house.
He was secretly in awe of Tessa's simple dinner preparations for the two of them. As well as her taking care of him in the morning before he goes to work.
"You know what, you are aware that there are many of you, aren't you? Actually, among the three of you, you're the only one I haven't talked to yet. And that's really my plan, to tell you that I want a new life. I'm tired of being a "fuck boy"," when he finally said that, Ramil couldn't stop the bitter smile that broke his lips.
"What are you saying? If that's the case that you don't have other bed partners and I'm the only one left, it's not just the two of us. Let's make it official," Selena insisted.
Ramil sighed again.
There seems to be no other way to end this than to tell Selena the truth. It will hurt her, yes, but he knows and believes that the wound in the girl's heart will eventually heal.
"I’m in love with someone else, Selena. And none of the girls were related to me," he finally confessed.
At that point, Ramil saw the continuous flow of tears from the eyes of the beautiful woman in front of him. He immediately felt pity for her. That's the opposite of his old behavior where he becomes proud of himself whenever a woman pursues him. Every time there is a girl who cries and is hurt because of him.
"I'm sorry," he said almost in a whisper.
Selena let out a small laugh. She then wiped away her tears before standing up.
"Of course," she said with a smile, extending her hand to him.
It was only then that Ramil breathed a sigh of relief and then stood up and accepted the girl's handshake.
"You take care of yourself. And I wish you all the best," that was true inside him.
Selena just nodded. While the smile remained on her lips. After that, she turned and left him.

"Damn you, Ramil! Damn you!”
That's what Selena pointed out crying.
She was inside her car and once again right there she released all the bitterness and sorrow that she had tried to hide earlier.
She should not admit to Ramil that she loves him. At least she might have saved her pride.
But she has done it. And she can't take it back.
For the umpteenth time, Selena wiped her tears again. She started the car's engine and then pulled out of that parking space.
"Of course, I will retaliate, Ramil. But before that, I'll first have to find out whom you say is the woman you love," she said with a dangerous smile on her lips.
