The sun is already shining brightly when Joaquin woke up that morning. But unlike him, Lara still sounds asleep while her other arm is hugging tightly his nakedness.
He tenderly bowed to her and then planted a simple kiss on her forehead. But no matter how simple that kiss was, he knew it was full of love.
That was his and Lara's first morning as a couple. Joaquin smiled at that thought. It felt so good that they didn't have to rush every time they were together. Yes, and they haven't been together that long. But that's not an issue for him. Because even though he and Lara dated for a short time. That's the reason why he married her.
Joaquin smiled there.
Many women have actually passed through his life. But none of them made him feel the way he felt for this girl.
He allowed himself to be in that position for a while. Until he decided to get up.
It's past nine o'clock and he wants Lara to wake up and have something to eat.
He just took a quick shower and then went to the kitchen. And because their marriage was sudden, he couldn't tell the caretaker of that house to buy them some stocks. In addition to that, he also had the idea of getting the supplies with his wife. Just in case, it's not far for her to wonder if they find the refrigerator full of food.
"Hey," he said smiling gazing at Lara who was then standing behind him.
He was currently fixing the food he bought at the nearest restaurant to their house.
With that last word, Joaquin felt a strange touch of warm feelings in his heart.
Theirs, their house.
The truth is, he didn't think it would feel good and that he has someone to share with in all the things he has and the ones he's still working on.
Before then, he was used to being chased by the girls he was in a relationship with.
He got used to the fact that they only wanted money from him. But he didn't see that in Lara. Even though he didn't know her well, he felt that he had known that she existed in this world for a long time. Or it is more correct to say that she gave him the feeling that she was his soulmate.
Joaquin smiled at the thought of his soulmate. "Good morning, wife," he said after taking two steps and was able to get close to Lara.
He immediately straddled her waist and pressed her lips with a simple kiss.
"Good morning, husband," Lara answered after she passionately responded to what should have been a simple kiss. That's why it took so long.
"Let's eat?" he then guided her to the table where the food he had bought earlier was already served.
"Where did you buy these?" Lara asked him smiling.
"At the nearest restaurant here," he answered and started attending to his wife.
Lara just nodded so Joaquin spoke again.
"After breakfast, is it okay with you if I ask you to go grocery shopping? Let's get some supplies for one week," he said staring at Lara's beautiful face.
She is very beautiful even though she doesn't have any make-up and her long, shoulder-length hair is uncombed.
"Sure, that's better and more practical," she agreed.
Joaquin's smile immediately widened when Lara said that. "No, it's not that. Because as long as possible, I want us both to enjoy our days here. We will not often cook," he clarified.
Lara's beautiful eyebrows rose because of what he said. Then she looked at the food served in front of her.
Bacon, scrambled eggs, hotdogs, and fried rice. There is also coffee. He bought all that.
"It's okay for me to cook," she told him afterward.
"Yeah, but not every opportunity is the same. Look, sweetheart, even if you say our wedding is sudden, I have prepared for this honeymoon. I mean, I have a budget for this so don't think about the expenses. I just want you to enjoy it, both of us," explained Joaquin.
Lara just shrugged her shoulders although she was smiling. After that, she started eating.

"WHAT did you say, Uncle Rodolfo?" that's what Ramil exclaimed in disbelief.
"You heard what I said, didn't you son? Lara got married yesterday. She is in Baguio now with Joaquin, her husband," Rodolfo repeated what he said earlier in a tone that still hasn't changed. Still calm.
The pain in Ramil’s chest intensified after hearing what the old man said. He is here today to say hello to Lara. He wants to see her because he misses her so much. He knows that she already has a boyfriend but he doesn't take away the hope in his heart that he and Lara can still be together.
But now she’s married. He knows that his chances are not just dim. But it's really vague. And that's what he feels.
"Why didn't I know?" he asked resentfully.
Ramil heard the sad sigh released by the old man in front of him. After that, he saw Rodolfo open his mouth to speak.
"Someday you will be able to meet the woman you deserve, son," he said patting his shoulder afterward.
Ramil just nodded in response to what the old man said. Then he also said goodbye.
He was already in the car and far from where he came from, the pain of failure that he didn't know if he could accept was still in his chest.
Not only was his heart hurt, but his ego even more. He had been courting Lara for a long time. But why didn't he get her attention? Why does that man seem to be able to do things that he planned and in fact he can only do with Lara in his dreams?
That's when Ramil's chest heaved. Then he immediately picked up his cellphone from the passenger seat of the car. He grinned when it suddenly rang and registered the name of the woman he was about to call.
"Selena," that escaped his mouth.
"Are you free? Can you visit me here at my house? I'm bored, and I want someone to play with."
Despite the resentment that Ramil was feeling at that moment, he still couldn't stop the intense body heat he felt. Immediately his imagination registered Selena's curvaceous body moving on top of him while their bodies were connected.
"Sure, wait for me there," he said before the line was cut.
Even though he is like this, he knows that only Lara can him give contentment. But in his current condition, he really needs Selena. So that he can release all his anger.

He wants to find a way to get Lara back from that man. But he didn't want to think about that yet. Because even if he didn't admit it, he knew that the imminent meeting between him and Selena had partially relieved his anger.
Ramil grinned there again.
He needs to gather strength because Selena is a real fighter in intimacy. And maybe if she could just eat him whole, she would have done it. At that point, Ramil laughed softly and then sped up his driving a little.
