DxD: I Steal Luck Chapter 98

The sun rose and set, and the day passed swiftly. Birds flew slowly toward the trees. The sky gradually darkened. The clouds were painted with a brilliant crimson, casting a golden hue over the bustling labyrinth city, signaling the end of the day. During this time, adventurers who had been in the dungeon returned, and the entrance to Babel Tower became lively again. Because the dungeon had only one entrance, adventurers naturally met up and exited together. Blake and Lili were among them. With the respectful gazes of most adventurers upon them, they walked calmly toward the guild. "11,000 valis. Blake, what happened today? Why are there so few magic stones?" At the counter, Eina looked at Blake, confused. "Didn't kill many monsters today, just stayed on the 18th floor for a while," Blake replied with a light smile, meeting Eina's emerald eyes. Today, he had only fought a few monsters and the floor boss, Goliath. Unfortunately, the power of the EX Curry Stick was so strong that it destroyed all the large magic stones into dust. The rest of the time was spent teaching Ais, and then they bought the map and came back. Eina looked at Blake in surprise, then nodded. Given his strength, he could have gone deeper, but generally, Level 1 adventurers were not sold maps for deeper floors, no matter how strong they were. "Eina, see you tomorrow." Blake waved with a smile. "By the way, Hephaestus-sama asked you to go to her shop. She has something to give you," Eina added as though recalling something. "Hephaestus-sama, I see. Thanks, Eina." Blake paused for a moment, his crystal-blue eyes flashing brightly. He quickly took Lili's hand and led her out. It seemed like Frost Whisper had been reinforced after all this time. "I forgot to mention, the Familia War Game is starting soon. Are you sure it's alright?" Eina murmured to herself, watching the two leave the guild with a hint of concern. The War Games were diverse, and just having strong individual power wasn't enough to guarantee victory. Arriving at Hephaestus Familia's shop, Blake and Lili were guided to a room filled with items radiating a strong presence. On the sofa in the room, Hephaestus, whom they hadn't seen in days, was reclining and smoking. She exhaled a ring of smoke and stood up with a smile. The staff member bowed respectfully and left the room. "Hephaestus-sama, has my Frost Whisper been reinforced?" Blake asked respectfully. "Yes, the result is even better than I expected. Originally, I only wanted to add a durability property, but it turns out the sword's capacity was greater than I thought, so I used some rare materials to reinforce it without changing its structure or the sword spirit. Now, it should be comparable to the Sword Princess's Desperate.", Hephaestus exclaimed. She walked over to a rack, took Frost Whisper, and handed it to Blake. Blake unsheathed the sword with a sharp sound, admiring the bright blade and feeling the sword spirit's joyful return, which made his expression soften. He gently caressed the blade and sincerely thanked Hephaestus. "The sword spirit is more lively now. Indeed, you're a fascinating person. I've never met anyone quite like you who is so loved by a sword," Hephaestus remarked in surprise. Just touching the blade once made the sword spirit more alive—something even she, the Goddess of Forging, couldn't do. "Loved by a sword...?" Blake murmured. He didn't deny it, as the Sword Spirit magic was something only a true sword spirit wielder could recognize. "By the way, Blake, I have something for you." Looking at the contemplative Blake and the nervous Lili beside him, Hephaestus shook her head and then rummaged through her sword bag, pulling out a large sword exuding immense magical energy. "This is... a Magic Sword?" Upon hearing this, Blake snapped out of his thoughts and looked at the long sword in Hephaestus's hand, a hint of confusion in his eyes. The magical aura was unmistakable—it was a Magic Sword. However, compared to the one used by the Apollo Familia previously, this one was vastly more powerful, an entirely different level. "Yes, to be precise, this is a Magic Sword I forged today. In terms of power, it's probably stronger than Riveria's strongest magic, Niflheim. Of course, the main strength lies not in its power, but in its ability to absorb and amplify other powers several times over." Hephaestus nodded as she explained. After hearing Hephaestus's words, even the normally composed Blake was startled. Riveria's Niflheim was known for its terrifying magic, capable of easily destroying a large forest, potentially reaching the level of an upper-tier monster, capable of obliterating a mountain with a single strike. And this Magic Sword could release this kind of power instantly—something that even Riveria's magic required long chanting to unleash. It was clear just how terrifying it was, truly an existence beyond normal specifications. Not to mention that its true ability was to amplify and fuse other powers—similar to Blake's Sword Spirit magic. What made it even better than his Sword Spirit magic was that using the sword didn't require much of his own power. Of course, the rare materials and forging skills required to create such a sword probably meant that only Hephaestus, the Goddess of Forging, could do it. "I see a miracle in you—Sword Spirits. If you were to die in some boring War Game, it would be such a waste. Hestia would be heartbroken, too. So, I'm giving this to you for your protection." Hephaestus blew a puff of smoke and looked at Blake seriously, speaking slowly and deliberately. "This is the first time I've ever forged a Magic Sword , so don't you dare die easily." 🍊 Boost This Fanfic! 🍊 Every 500 Power Stones gets 2 bonus Chapters! 🚀 Want faster updates?
