"Is Lingling really inside?"
Lin Feng nodded and stepped inside confidently.
They walked straight into a room—but it was empty.
"No one's here…" Dugu Yan murmured.
Down in the basement, Ye Nantian had heard the sounds above.
His heart tensed, fists clenching with wariness.
Ye Lingling's eyes lit up. She cried out, excited:
"It's Lin Feng! It has to be him!"
Ye Nantian rolled his eyes. "Lin Feng, Lin Feng—how do you know it's not the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan coming instead? If it's really Lin Feng, I'll eat poison!"
His words had a mocking edge.
There's no way Lin Feng could have found them this fast—
The ceiling split open.
A flash of black lightning burst through—it was Lin Feng!
Ye Nantian nearly jumped out of his skin.
"Lingling!" Lin Feng called joyfully.
Tears welled in Ye Lingling's eyes as she ran into his arms.
"I knew you'd come for me!"
She broke into sobs of relief and joy.
Lin Feng held her gently, voice calm and soothing: "It's okay now. I'm here."
Dugu Yan stood there with her jaw hanging open.
"He actually found her… Lin Feng, you're incredible."
Lin Feng turned his gaze toward Ye Nantian.
This was the man who had taken Lingling away.
