Shen Hongyu had already sold herself to Wufu, shocking several people present. Only the Little Dwarf seemed a bit bewildered, glancing at his mother and then back to Shen Hongyu.
His mother had said Xiao Yu would be his wife in the future, so he could only take her home. Thinking of this, Little Dwarf Da Niu stepped forward and softly coaxed Shen Hongyu, "Xiao Yu, let’s go home. I’ll give you my favorite sugar cake."
"Get lost, you little shorty. Who wants your sugar cake?" Shen Hongyu stuck out half her head and waved a hand, the other clutching tightly to Wufu’s clothes, as if afraid she would run away.
When Da Niu heard the words "little shorty," his brows shot up in anger, and he bellowed, "I’m not a little shorty! My mother said I’m just sick. You insult me; I’ll beat you to death."
He planted his hands on his hips and lowered his head, charging at Wufu like a bull calf.
The trouble happened in an instant. If Wufu were to be hit by him, she might as well have been remade from scratch.
With a nimble sidestep, she guided Shen Hongyu out of the way, leaving Da Niu to tumble to the ground.
The Little Dwarf hadn’t expected to fall and immediately burst into loud crying.
Seeing her son at a disadvantage, the aunt by marriage was furious. She glared at Wufu and ran to the doorway, yelling, "His dad, his dad, come quick! There’s a child snatcher here to kidnap Xiao Yu!"
Wufu was stunned for a moment, wondering what that meant. She looked at Shen Hongyu.
"It means kidnapper." Shen Hongyu quickly explained.
Wufu wanted to laugh. Had she just become a kidnapper in a blink of an eye?
It seemed she would have to limber up soon. Wufu glanced around the room, hmm, too small to really let loose, and walked out of the courtyard with Shen Hongyu.
Following the aunt’s loud shout, a man resembling Wu Dalang, carrying a pole, barged in: "Where’s the child snatcher?"
Wufu, arms folded, asked Shen Hongyu, "Is this really your relative? If I beat him, do deaths or injuries count?"
Shen Hongyu’s eyes sparkled as she replied, "Whatever. I don’t have such relatives."
The two girls spoke nonchalantly. Seeing this, the aunt by marriage felt a sense of dread and turned her gaze towards the young woman.
"Here’s the deal, leave now and we’ll forget this ever happened," Wufu said with a smile, cracking her knuckles loudly and casually loosening her neck.
"Up yours! Who’s this little bitch, coming here and..."
Three slaps in a row landed squarely on the aunt’s mouth, with the final blow knocking her to the ground.
"Your mouth is too dirty, deserved a slap!" Wufu dusted off her hands, even blowing on them, wetting her finger with saliva, tsk, what filth.
No one saw how Wufu made her move—three slaps, so fast they were a blur—the aunt was already on the ground.
She spit out a mouthful, blood mixed with a tooth hitting the ground.
"Blood, blood," the aunt by marriage bugged out her eyes, rolling them.
"You dare to hit my wife, I’ll fight you to the death!" bellowed the uncle by marriage, resembling Wu Dalang, as he raised his pole to strike Wufu.
Shen Hongyu screamed, covering her eyes, not daring to watch.
Yet, no cries of pain followed; peering through her fingers, all she saw was Wufu gripping the pole with one hand, yanking and pulling it with ease, and then sweeping it at the uncle’s legs.
The uncle fell to his knees, howling in pain.
"You dog-raised little slut." From inside the house, a small figure charged at Wufu like a gust of wind.
It seemed Wufu had eyes on the back of her head, sidestepping swiftly, twirling the pole and striking the Little Dwarf on the back, knocking him down in front of his uncle and aunt, "Not raising a child properly is the father’s fault. I’ll teach you a lesson."
