C22 – Power Test
“Finished? If you are, then proceed with the test.”
A mellifluous voice resounded, belonging to the test proctor. He stood there with a commanding presence, a middle-aged man clearly evolved and possessing a respectable level.
At that moment, the examiner’s focus lingered on Loong Chen for a brief moment. Loong Chen had effortlessly tossed a hefty man of over two hundred kilograms away, showcasing considerable strength.
“Examiner, my name is Liu Qingyun.”
The young man before Long Chen, who had earlier taunted him, was now introducing himself.
“I don’t care about your name. Get on with the test.”
The examiner’s tone was chilly. Liu Qingyun felt a touch uneasy, but he clearly didn’t dare to offend the examiner. He promptly stepped towards the strength testing device.
Taking a deep breath, Liu Qingyun unleashed a forceful punch onto the strength testing machine. The readout promptly displayed his strength.

The middle-aged examiner acknowledged with a slight nod, giving his approval.
Liu Qingyun flashed a smug grin immediately, then directed a provoking look towards Loong Chen.
Loong Chen ignored this, uncertain why this individual was singling him out. Could it be because he’d just overshadowed this person?
The reason eluded Loong Chen, but he didn’t particularly care to know.
“Each test offers three attempts. Would you like to continue?”
The middle-aged examiner inquired.
“No need. I’ll try the other tests.”
Liu Qingyun shook his head. He was aware of his own limits; five hundred kilograms marked his cap. Repeating the test would only be wasteful exertion.
“Alright.”
The middle-aged examiner didn’t make another attempt to persuade him.
Subsequently, Liu Qingyun was tested for his speed, reaction time, and defense three more times, achieving impressively high scores. This drew many envious glances his way.
“This young man is truly exceptional. He’s destined to become a formidable Evolver in the future.”
“Absolutely, he looks like he’s only in his twenties. Achieving such prowess at his age is remarkable. I wish my son could be as talented as him.”
Praise from these individuals almost sent Liu Qingyun soaring. He made sure to cast a provocative look at Loong Chen.
Loong Chen proceeded to the strength assessment machine with an air of calmness and nonchalance, casually throwing a punch at it.
The Strength Test Machine emitted a beeping noise, halting at a reading of 3500 kg.
The middle-aged examiner, upon seeing the figure on the machine, displayed clear astonishment. The shock was palpable; this level was typically attainable only by a Level 1 High Rank Evolver.
The teenager who appeared to be about sixteen was, in fact, a Level 1 High Rank Evolver. Was this truly his inaugural attempt at the test?
Amid the surprised examiners, those there to undertake the test couldn’t help but inhale sharply upon witnessing the displayed digits.
While Liu Qingyun’s strength exceeding 500 kg already triggered envy, Loong Chen’s measurement exceeding 3000 kg seemed like a surreal dream to them.
They stood dumbfounded.
Liu Qingyun, who had been swelling with pride, suddenly found the world hushed. Opening his eyes, he was met with the three hundred and five hundred kilograms indicated on the machine.
He stood shocked. Then, he rubbed his eyes with vigor, yet the number persisted.
“How’s this even possible?”
The phrase continually escaped Liu Qingyun’s lips. His pride evaporated into thin air, replaced by an overwhelming sense of frustration.
