Varian rubbed his forehead, a headache brewing from those words. This letter didn't have a single positive thing so far.

Varian resisted the urge to tear up the letter and reached its end.

'Sheng?' Varian shook his head and headed back to Eden.
The whole universe had been reconstructed.
This universe, made from Hortus, also had a 'Hortus' within it.
If the whole universe was his body, then this Hortus was his heart. And his heart held all the memories he cherished.
As he stepped in, his memories called out.
He passed every location, reminisced every memory.
The mountain where Hazel wrote her stupid and spicy little novels still seemed to echo her laughter, bringing a smile on his face.
The quiet forest where Matriarch painted beautiful landscapes was still filled serenity, letting him appreciate her soothing stillness.
And there was the cave where Evander went into seclusion. Varian couldn't stop chuckle recalling his father-in-law's impatient wait for grandkids.
He visited each corner, enjoyed each memory before heading to the heart of Hortus.
At the sight of this beautiful manor they built together, Varian stood still.
The universe was vast. The newly discovered multiverse was even more so. But neither the vast universe nor the wider multiverse could fill the hole in his heart.
It was this small, warm place that filled his heart and made him whole. It's his heart of hearts—where all his journeys ended and all his memories began.
It's home.
In the kitchen, a brown-haired woman was cooking alongside a maid with glowing angelic wings.
Out in the garden, a blonde lady was tending to the flowers along with an older maid.
At a pond nearby, a black haired woman with purple eyes was watching the clouds with a dreamy look on her face.
And the silver haired, red eyed woman was listening to the excited chatter of the woman with bright, mischievous and beautiful eyes.
Varian took in a deep breath and returned home.
"Varian!"
Sia jumped into his arms and Enigma hugged from behind, the warmth of their love enveloping him completely.
Sarah gave a loving smile while Isadora kissed. Aurora looked conflicted but quickly followed up.
He looked at them slowly, taking in each of their faces as if he wanted to remember them for all of eternity and longer.
"I'm back."
They all looked at each other for a moment before laughing.
