Cyrus
I walked along the halls, no longer caring if anyone saw me like this. My eyes stung from the tears that I've cried for the last few weeks. The worry for Rosalie grew stronger as the connection between us grew weaker. I walked into our room, once again getting choked up at the sight of her clothes. Slowly, I walked over to the nightstand on her side of the bed. I gently grabbed the picture and smiled at it. It was of us when we first started dating, goddess, she was breathtaking. Still is.
For days I've wondered if she was still alive, but after last night I knew she was. Of course she was with Alpha Dimitri, the bastard.
The one night my beta goes out with his mate and he ends up seeing my mate with another man. I shook my head, I couldn't blame either one of them though. I cheated on her, I crushed her heart like it was nothing. I even turned her own pack against her, the same pack that loathed me right now.
"Brother."
I snapped my head up to see my sister, Amelia, walking into the room. I put the picture down and glared at her.
"Happy now? She's gone. My mate, the one girl I truly loved, is gone. All because of you." I spat.
She frowned at me, "I-I thought-
"You thought what?" I hissed.
"You know Grace is better for this pack and you. Not that whore. I mean, she's probably banging Dimitri by now." She sighed.
I narrowed my eyes at her, "Grace? The girl who screws anything with a dick? Yeah, no, I don't want her. Never will."
"This pack needs a Luna."
"IT HAD ONE BEFORE YOU FORCED ME TO HURT HER!" I yelled, hot tears burning my eyes. "I lost her."
I fell back onto the bed and cried for the hundredth time. I ignored my sister as she stood there, probably bored with my sobs.
"Cyrus-
"Don't. Listen to me, I hate you. You threatened to kill her if I didn't reject her, all because you couldn't stand her. Boo hoo, she dated your fucking crush! How was she supposed to know?" I snarled. "I never ever want to be associated with you. As of right now, you are no longer my sister. You make me want to vomit."
I ignored the pain in her eyes as she registered my words. "And don't you dare blame Rosalie for this. This is all your fault. Not her's. Try to be a little less selfish, you may actually get somewhere."
"I-I just...I w-wanted our family to be happy." She said softly, her voice cracking.
I scoffed at her, "Happy? Did you honestly think forcing me to get rid of my mate would make me...happy? Huh?"
She shook her head, "No."
"Then why, Amelia? Why did you want me to break her heart and mine?"
She looked at me with the same pained eyes. "I can't tell you."
I shook my head, "Get out, stay away from me. I may not be able to ever win her back, because I know how much she's hurting, but I'll still protect her. If being with Dimitri will make her happy...so be it."
"What about you?"
I sighed, "My wolf and I are disconnected from the damage the rejection had done. I'm useless now."
"The pack needs an alpha." She whispered.
"I know."
"So, what are you going to do?"
I swallowed, "Giving my beta the alpha title."
She was silent for a few moments, "If you kill yourself...Rosalie will have so much guilt. It will destroy her."
"I'm not killing myself, I'm simply leaving. It's about time I let her free. I'm going to travel, do something with my life. This place reminds me too much...reminds me of her." My voice cracked at the end.
"Broth-
"It's alpha to you." I spat.
She gulped, "Alpha, please, don't do this."
"Damn it, Amelia! I'm not doing anything that will kill me! I'm moving on, I can't dwell on the past. I need to break free, okay?" I snapped.
She didn't say another word as she hugged me. I didn't hug her back though, I refused to.
"I'm sorry. I wish I could fix this, but I can't." She whispered before leaving.
As the doors closed I released a breath. More tears streamed down my cheeks. I can't do this anymore.

Rosalie frowned at Dimitri as he walked into the house, drunk. Earlier in the day he and his brothers decided to have a guy's night out and allow the women spend some time together. Xander's wife had just flown in the other night with her daughter and son. His wife immediately took a liking to Rosalie and they, along with Catherine, acted like sisters.
Rosalie was more than happy to help care for the children, along with the teens. Sage and Sara were beyond happy to spend the night with Rosalie, who they were claiming as their step mother. She laughed and told them she and their father were just friends.
Now, hours later, she was watching a very drunk Dimitri stumbled through the door. Following behind him was a sober Xander and drunk Xavier.
"Before you start, I have no control over him." Xander said quickly, noticing the woman's scowl.
Rosalie sighed and helped the barely standing Dimitri. "Pain in my ass." She grumbled at the drunk alpha.
Dimitri smirked, "If we do it in the ass I will be."
Rosalie froze and dropped him, earning a grunt of pain from him. Xander and Xavier burst out laughing at the door until Catherine and Xander's wife came storming downstairs.
"Felicity! Honey, I swear-
"It's three in the morning! What bar stays open this late?" Felicity snapped.
Xander paled, "Uh...your brother's bar..."
"Hedrick is in so much trouble when I get my hands on him!" She continued to fume.
Meanwhile, Catherine was dragging Xavier by his ear, grumbling about him needing a brain. Rosalie sighed and picked Dimitri back up, helping the stumbling alpha up the stairs. When his daughters saw him their eyes were wide with shock before filling with amusement.
"Good luck with him!" Sage called as she ran into her room.
Rosalie sighed and shoved his room doors open. She dropped him on the bathroom floor before closing the bedroom doors. When she walked back into the bathroom he was sitting up and glaring at the toilet.
"It growled at me." He growled lowly.
Rosalie pinched the bridge of her nose, "Did you press that medal piece down that's on the side?"
"Yeah."
"It was flushing, Dimitri...not growling. Does your brain disappear when you're drunk or something?" She sighed.
"It growled at me." He stated stubbornly.
She looked at him with one eyebrow raised, "It's official, you're an idiot."
"Am not." He pouted.
She shook her head and stood him up, "Shirt, off."
"Oh, first we're insulting me and now we're going to have sex with me? Damn woman. Patience."
"Dimitri, shut your mouth before I shut it for you." She snapped.
He frowned at her, "Jerk."
After he was changed into clean pajama pants she helped him into his bed. She turned to leave when his arms wrapped around her waist and pulled her into the bed with him. She stiffened as he pressed her against his chest and rested his head on her's.
"Oh, I like the drunk Dimitri. We should have sex with him. Like, now." Her wolf suddenly spoke.
"Tatiana, this is not the time to act like a slut!" Rosalie shrieked.
"Oh come on, just open your legs for him and-
"Why are you such a hoe?"
"Excuse me! Your cousin is a hoe, not me. I'm simply sexy."
"Wha about me?"
"You're okay."
"Bitch."
"Thank you."
Rosalie sighed and blocked her wolf out, shaking her head. She attempted to get out of Dimitri's hold, but he wasn't having any of it. She eventually gave in and closed her eyes, falling asleep beside the impossible man.
