Lawrence Winters’ eyes flickered slightly, and the smile on his face faded as he stared directly at the assistant director in the middle.
The interview felt a bit uncomfortable for her, almost like she was being interrogated.
However, she hadn’t experienced other company interviews, so she wasn’t sure if all companies did it this way.

"Your grades are indeed excellent, always ranking first in your class, but I’ve heard that you haven’t attended any classes in the past three and a half years except for exams."
"Can you tell me why that is?"

The summer after her senior year, she had no idea what happened, she just remembered being unconscious for a long time.

"Why should I provide evidence? Shouldn’t you be the one to prove it’s real?" The assistant director began to press aggressively.
Lawrence let out a small laugh, "I’ve already stated it’s true. The hospital has records, and the school accepts it."
"Now you’re the one claiming my doctor’s note is fake. By the principle of ’he who asserts must prove,’ you need to provide evidence that my doctor’s note is fake, not just rely on the words ’I think’ as proof."
The assistant director was so embarrassed by Lawrence’s rebuttal that her face turned red with anger, "I see you’re just sly and deceitful! I’ve seen plenty like you!"
"What’s the use of good grades? You lack character, always looking for loopholes and fabricating stories to trap others, our company doesn’t want someone like you!"
