Joyce Shaw looked at her and said with a smile, "You’re too thin, you could gain a little weight."
The two of them walked into the hotel restaurant, and Joyce said, "How about having Western food tonight?"
"Sure..." Caroline Caldwell hesitated a bit. She actually didn’t really like Western food and hadn’t had much good Western cuisine.
Joyce called over the waiter and ordered a few dishes.
Caroline curiously looked around the Western restaurant, and soon, there was a burst of applause, whistles, and cheers from a corner of the restaurant.

Joyce glanced at it and nodded with a smile, "Yes, how do you find this proposal ceremony?"
"Not much." Caroline shrugged, holding a straw to drink from the beverage in front of her, saying, "I think the best proposal ceremony should only involve the two people in love, without any disturbance from outsiders."
"There should be roses, red wine, music, oh, I love Kenny Loggins’ ’For the First Time’, it’s simply perfect as a background for a proposal!"
"Even for someone planning never to marry, listening to that music might make them waver for a moment."
Caroline said longingly.
Joyce responded with a "hmm" and smiled, saying, "What a coincidence, I also particularly like the song ’For the First Time’."
Soon, the hotel waiter began to serve the food.
First came a small plate of appetizers and two colorful vegetable salads, served with Mexican tequila.

Joyce said, leaving a generous tip and heading back to their suite with Caroline.

"What’s happening? A hotel can have a power outage?" Caroline puzzledly pushed open the door and walked out.
The small living room outside the bedroom had already been newly arranged.
At one end of the long dining table stood a silver candelabra with a long candle lit on it.
On the other end was a bottle of roses.
The outer room’s lights were already off, only the flickering candlelight casting shadows, and a faint fragrance lingered in the room, the scent of her favorite aromatherapy candle.
On the dining table were two crystal-clear glasses and a bottle of red wine.
This was quite grand, wasn’t it?
Hadn’t they already had dinner?

Today was not her nor Joyce’s birthday...
Many thoughts flashed through Caroline’s mind in an instant.
Before she could react, music started playing in the room.
It was the "For the First Time" she had just mentioned loving so much.
Kenny Loggins’ magnetic yet gentle voice flowed slowly from the speakers, like a clear spring flowing down from heaven, washing away all the dust in the world.
Caroline realized something, feeling a bit at a loss.
Joyce, wearing a suit with a small bow tie, slowly walked out of the darkness.
He held a red velvet jewelry box, clearly for a ring, very clichéd, yet strangely fitting with the ambiance, clichéd to the point of being heartwarming.
It’s the magic of earthly delights, able to draw each soaring girl down to the mortal realm.
Caroline stared blankly up at Joyce.
He was already very handsome, only overshadowed because there was always a more handsome Kenneth Osborne beside him.
But as long as Kenneth wasn’t present, Joyce’s charm was unmatched.
Moreover, Caroline was inherently attracted to Joyce’s non-threatening kind of handsomeness.
To her eyes, Kenneth Osborne wasn’t as heart-stirring as Joyce.
And now, the man who made her heart flutter knelt on one knee before her, looking at her devoutly, saying, "Caroline Caldwell, I never thought I would meet someone ."
