Lawrence Winters ran over to him, smiling, "Did you get a cab? Or are we taking the subway?"
Kenneth Osborne looked at the much slimmer Lawrence, whose facial features had become more defined. The round face had shrunk, beginning to feel like a palm-sized face.
The light green pullover sweatshirt was a size too big, hanging loosely on his frame, yet he didn’t appear like a stick; instead, he exuded youthful exuberance.
Especially her skin, which was once so dewy it was almost transparent, like a ripe peach that would burst with sweetness at a bite.
Now that she had slimmed down, her skin was still fair but resembled mutton fat jade, rich yet not translucent, possessing a certain texture.
Her hair had just been washed, still damp, without time to blow-dry. It lay partially wet on her shoulders, making her dark eyes appear like a freshly washed night sky.
This version of Lawrence Winters was more beautiful than before, by more than just one level.
Kenneth felt this most deeply.
Previously, when Lawrence ran with him, many boys looked at her, but most with a sense of "what a cute little girl" sentiment.
But now, those boys’ gazes had transformed into looks that men give to women, and more and more were inquiring about her name and major.

Without hesitation, Lawrence accepted, "Of course, I’d love one!"
She made a funny face at Kenneth; after all, these weren’t items she had brought herself, but given by others, so it didn’t count as breaking the rules.
Kenneth silently took a step back, intending to distance himself from her.
This way, even if someone saw him, they’d just think he was a passerby standing coincidentally.

The woman felt she had discovered a treasure and was eager for Kenneth to join.
