**CIARA'S POV**
Waking up this morning, I was not feeling well like I was having this weird feeling in my guts. I shrugged it off and went into the bathroom.
"Oh moon goddess, make this day a trouble-free day for me," I said joining my two hands together and closing my eyes.
After I was done with my dressing, I carried my little school bag. I remember it was given to me by a pack member, he wanted to put it into the trash can but then he kind of remembered that there was an omega that could use the trash instead. I collected it since I did not have a choice.
After preparing breakfast, I left the packhouse and headed for school. On getting to school, I met a lot of students. Some were chatting while some were reading. Sometimes I wished we had not gone for that picnic, I wished I had not agreed to persuade the Alpha. I wished I could be with my friends just the way everyone is; have a best friend, hang out with your male friends, go to night clubs and sneak out of the house. But in years to come, I know it is not possible. Who knows if my mate has already given up on finding me.
I was still stuck in my thinking that I did not see a group of girls coming in my direction, not that I would have seen them since I keep my head bowed every time. As I bumped into them, I gasped in shock to see the people I had bumped into and to my utmost disappointment, it was the last person I ever wanted to see face to face.
Oh my gosh… this can't be happening

I unexpectedly met Nicole of all people in the world. To say she was shocked is an understatement. She stared at me with wide eyes before coming into contact with the hard floor. She passed out immediately hitting her head on the in the process… Wait… No… No… Not this… Please… Not this…
Blood! Blood! Blood!
"Nicole!!!!!!" That was the last word I heard before running out.
I ran out of the class and school immediately. I am so dead. Xander's only sister and the only family member left.
Oh why am I like this, am I cursed or what?.
Xander's words replayed in my head -
"Make sure she does not see your face or else she might pass out". He said.
"Runaway". I heard the voice say.
"To where?" I asked.
"Anywhere." It said.
"No, I cannot become a rouge that they will be searching for, I do not think I can handle the fame that comes with it. If I leave now, I will be out in the woods without anything to support myself. No, I cannot take the risk. I am not that strong at all despite being used as a training object for the pack warriors. I do not know how to attack or defend myself when danger comes knocking at my door.
I ran over to my house and sat down there in fear of what is coming next. Xander is not going to let me off the hook this time.
**XANDER'S POV**
"……. and these are the strategies we will use for the…." I was still talking but was cut off by the ringing tone of my phone. I unlocked it to see Eunice on the phone.
"Excuse me," I said and exited the hall.
"Hello, Eunice," I said smiling. But I could feel that she was anxious like she is scared to tell me something. Although I have not marked her. I could still feel her anxiety.
"Tell me what it is?" I said.
"Err…. Erm… Erm. Xander. You see." She was saying.
"Spill it out," I said almost feeling angry.
"Your younger sister…. Nicole…" She said
"What happened to her?" I asked feeling impatient.
"She fainted and blood…." She was saying but I cut off the call and ran towards the pack hospital because that is where she should be.
"Where is she?" I asked almost yelling the moment I entered the hospital.
"Alpha, you need to keep your voice calm as there are patients who need the quietness." The doctor said in a *doctorly* way.
"She is currently unconscious, she was shocked and I noticed that her body does not respond to shock in a good way." He said.
Yes… She started having this issue with dealing with shock after my parents passed away. She is the only one I have left… I definitely cannot lose her… Not now… Not ever.
And yes by the way, what triggered her to be shocked?
"What happened to her?" I turned to her friends, Janet spoke,
"She met Ciara." She said in fear.
At this moment, I must not be annoyed more than what it is now. But Ciara just made me let go of the tiny string between my humanity and me. I warned her to keep away from her, I might have said it mockingly but heck I meant every word I uttered that day.
"Ciara is saying goodbye to this world today," I said between gritted teeth.
"I will be right back," I said and stormed out of the hospital.
"Ciara!!!!!!" I shouted her name using my Alpha voice as I entered the packhouse. Every pack member the saw me bared their neck in submission. She seems not to be in the packhouse.
I went straight to her place. On getting there, I broke the door down and saw how she curled up into a ball. I could not take note of how her surrounding was because I was filled with anger.
"I warned you, didn't I?." I shouted at her.
"I told you to stay away from her," I said.
"Why are you so bent on taking every person I cherish away from me?" I asked feeling frustrated.
"First it was my parents. Now… It is my sister… Why are you after my life?" I yelled.
I mind linked Michael to bring her into the dungeons. I left to await her.
