We were back to the broken tree trunk where our carriage stood, except for the immortal kid; everyone was back. Our journey continued much more peacefully while I decided to be a bit more low-key. Making the journey easier.
After travelling for a few more days, we finally arrived at my village, where my childhood was spent. When I entered the village, it seemed very different from how it was when I left it. Now, there stood many more new houses, and people here seem to change a lot.
I pass through familiar yet unfamiliar streets wandering the village, none of them recognise me, nor do I see any familiar faces. This place has changed a lot in just 5 years. Maybe cause of the Origin energy which spread when Little Black evolved.
Carrying doubt in my heart, I continued to wander a bit more before going back home. After wandering for a while, I came in front of a familiar tea stall. I went there, sat on a chair, ordered 2 cups of tea and three snacks.
Little Black and the woman also sat down waiting for tea; there were a few people staring at the woman. I decided to ignore them for now.
In a few minutes, a girl wearing old white clothes came carrying my order. She placed the order in front of me. But before leaving, she gave a glance back at me.
’She looks familiar.’
Whatever, ignoring her, we enjoyed our meal. As we were enjoying the meal, a group of people came, seeing the remaining few customers left quickly. I looked at all of them. Still drinking my tea.
’Here comes the trouble.’
Well, my luck had always been bad; what else can be done? As I was enjoying my tea, a voice came.
"Are you people new?"
If you aren’t new here, then why are you still here? Don’t you know this place is in the Wu family territory?
Wu... family, it looks familiar. Are you talking about the Wu family that trash Wu Feng belongs to?
With just a Little Black growl, all of them froze in the village. I stood up after paying the bill, and we walked out of there while these remain frozen in their place. All the surroundings seem to be shocked and afraid to come near.
Leaving all of them stunned, I silently left with my group to meet my family.
When I arrived in front of my family’s house. I got a small shock, the name plate of the Li Family had been replaced by the Wu Family. Giving a small understanding of what had happened. I went inside to get more information.
When I went inside, a few people tried to stop me, but froze in their place because of Little Black’s presence. As I was walking inside, I spotted a familiar figure in the courtyard. She was a girl, and I went straight to her; she was watering the flowers.
Where is everyone? What happened to my parents?
"What... Who are you?"
Hm, tell me where my family is.
"I... I don’t know much, but they left one day after that, the Wu family took over the Li family property, and everything else. You should ask my mother; she may know more."
"Where are you going? It will be troublesome now that this place is under the Wu family."
So what... I’m still the emperor. Lead the way.
After hesitating a bit, she led the way. In our way, no one dared to stop me because they all stood frozen in their place.

I finally found a good place to stay in. I went straight into my room, lying there silently, contemplating on the thing which I got to know today.
Well, it’s not that bad, now I have fewer things to care about. Plus, I have already repaid the karma. Maybe if I hadn’t repaid, I would be with them.
Aunt Zhi told me that my Dad, that old bastard, was actually from an ancient cultivation clan, but when he was passing through this place, he fell in love with my mother and had two children.

"Young Master, I too want to see the world, but I may become a burden on you."
