DC Comics: The Bookstore Witch Chapter 47

Seeing team RWBY in her shop was a bit of a surprise, but a welcome one for Wanda. She had watched their cartoon or animation quite some time ago, and loved the universe and it's power system. She found aura to be especially interesting, with it being the literal outward expression of the soul. She wondered what her aura would be like, how strong it would be. She had a feeling that it would be like chakra, where it is so powerful that it outweighs anyone else's aura by literally uncountable times over. Not only that, but there was the possibility of developing a semblance, an ability that represented the soul. She was very interested either way. Gazing at Ruby Rose, Wanda could sense the touch of very very weak divinity upon her. Almost like she was some sort of demigod, the touch of the God of Light coming in the form of her Silver Eyes. Silver eyes allowed for the wielded to utilize light to fight the creatures of darkness, Grimm. Harming them more than any other weapon in that universe, and by a huge margin at that. Each of the girls in front of her had semblances of their own. Ruby had one that made her faster, allowing for her to make short range teleports which left rose buds behind. Weiss, the white haired girl, could use her family's semblance that had been inherited (one of the only semblances that could do that) that was called Glyphs. This particular semblance had quite a few abilities and was one of the most powerful semblances out there. Then there was Yang, the blonde headed girl, who had the ability to absorb kinetic energy and store it to boost her own power in one big burst of momentary physical might. While the last of the girls, a black haired girl that had a bow on that failed to hide the cat ears upon her head, was Blake. She had the weakest semblance of the bunch, that was basically a shadow clone, but can't be used in the same way. Instead they can be infused with "dust" an elemental compound from RWBY with a variety of different types and uses. Such as fire dust making them explode upon being destroyed, ice clones making them freeze others, and lightning dust making them move faster. Not all that impressive in comparison to what it could have been. Looking over the group of girls, Wanda watched in amusement as Ruby looked around with sparkling eyes, while Blake was glancing at the bookshelves. Blake was...a bit of a pocket pervert, and read smut novels all the time, she was very similar to Kakashi in that regard. "Whoa look at all the books!" Ruby exclaimed as she looked around with sparkling eyes. Wanda's bookstore was growing more and more by the day, and it had now grown to the point that it had more books than most bookstores, even the large retail ones like Barnes and Noble. "They've got a cafe menu too" Blake muttered, noticing the menu above the counter. Which Ruby zoned in on, and almost immediately she noticed that they sold cookies. Ruby was...basically a cookie addict, to an almost creepy level. She downed cookies faster than Naruto downed ramen, which was impressive and terrifying. "Cookies!" Ruby squealed as she blurred to the front of the counter, as Yang let out a laugh and followed after Ruby. "Calm down sis, don't wanna scare away the clerk" Yang said with a laugh, as they walked up to Wanda, who had an amused smile on her face. "Oh it's fine, it takes far more than a cute little cookie addict to scare me" Wanda replied with a smile, as Ruby was looking over the menu, noticing that there was five different types of cookies on the menu, some of them being completely unknown to her. "Chocolate Chip, M And M? Snickerdoodle, Sugar, and Peanut Butter?" Ruby muttered to herself as she began to quite literally drool. "I'll have 2 of each please!" Ruby exclaimed as Wanda just giggled, and flicked her wrist, as behind her the plate with the cookies on it floated out and onto the counter. The open use of what seemed to be a semblance got wide eyes from the girls. "Whoa, is that your semblance? It kinda reminds me of Miss Goodwitch's semblance but not all glowy and flashy" Yang said in surprise, as Wanda gave her a mysterious smile. "Perhaps. Are these all, or do you wish to browse my books? I've got books on everything you can think of. Martial arts, mathematics, science, mythology, weapons, anything" Wanda said, as Ruby looked a little interested at the last part, while Blake was interested in the fictional section that she was eyeballing, especially the section that had the words "Romance" above it. "Yeah, we'll browse. How much are the cookies?" Yang asked, as Wanda gave them the price, which was a cheap price of 30 Lien. Lien being the currency of Remnant, aka the world that they had come from. It was so cheap that they all looked at her in surprise, but didn't complain as they handed over the bills and Ruby got to munch on her delicious cookies, while walking over to the section that had books on weapons. Upon biting into her first cookie, Ruby's eyes widened "Wow! This is amazing! Like, the best cookies ever amazing!" Ruby said as she scarfed down the rest of the chocolate chip cookie in two bites. Savouring every moment of the delicious chocolaty goodness. Yang looked a little surprised at this, as Ruby had eaten a lot of cookies over the year, and her dads was always at the tippy top in terms of taste. "Wow sis, looks like you might have a new cookie spot, huh?" Yang said as she watched Ruby look over the books while munching on a cookie. Ruby was 15 years old at the moment, while everyone else on the team was 17. "Definitely! I'm gonna come here whenever I can!" Ruby said with a bright grin, as she began to focus on the books again, finding one that looked interesting. It was a book on weapons and how to produce them from the PJO universe. "Whoa these weapon forging weapons are amazing!" Ruby said as she read through the book, before closing it, deciding that she was going to buy that one. It was a book that Wanda had gotten from a Hephaestus demigod, and was quite the impressive little thing. Ruby was a weapons nerd, so this was right up her alley. And she had never seen a majority of the methods in the books, making them very appealing to her. At the same time, Blake was in the romance section while no one was looking, pervertedly giggling as she looked over the books and reading some of their synopsis. She couldn't buy them now, but she decided that she was going to come back later to buy some, as she had never heard of most of them, and quite a few of them had caught her eye. While Weiss had been attracted to some of the books on mythology, finding them to be very interesting, as she had never heard of any of them. Yang had ended up picking up a couple books on martial arts, as that was her primary form of "Attack". After a little over thirty minutes of looking around and piling up a stack of a little over 30 books, the group had returned to Wanda, who was absentmindedly stroking Teekl's fur as she purred happily. "You find everything you wanted?" Wanda asked, as they all nodded. "How much will that be?" Weiss asked, as she prepared to pay. "Hmm, matters. Do you wish to pay in lien, exchange, or through doing a favor for me?" Wanda asked, as Ruby looked interested. "What sort of favor?" Ruby asked, as Wanda smiled. "Simple. I have been meaning to unlock my aura, and if one of you were to help me do so, I will give you all those books, as well as some cookies to take home" Wanda offered, causing Weiss to frown. "But you used your semblance? How can you levitate those books without having aura?" "Whoever said I was using a semblance?" Wanda replied mysteriously, as Weiss and Blake both looked at her with narrowed eyes, while Ruby grinned. "Deal! I'll help you unlock your aura!" Ruby said, as Wanda laughed. "Good, all I need is for you to imbue some of your aura into my and I'll do the rest" Wanda said, as she reached her hand out for Ruby to take. Ruby didn't even hesitate for a second before taking Wanda's hand and beginning, as Wanda inwardly started the process. It hadn't been that difficult to mimic the same ability of Ruby in terms of aura, as she basically just copied it to herself, and even added in the light aspect that Ruby had. She was able to do this by absorbing a small tiny portion of Ruby's aura, giving her the ability to use the silver eyes of Ruby. But at a level that surpasses even the God of Lights hundreds of thousands of times over. She could feel that particular aspect being fused with her power from being a Lord of Order. At the same time, her aura was rapidly unlocking, as she reigned it in. All it looked like to the girls in front of her was a powerful dark aura flaring around her, when in actuality it was similar to chakra, but was the full brunt of her soul. And boy was her soul incredibly powerful. Her soul was basically the fusion of several different entities, and was boosted by absorbing Klarion and Chthon, making her soul nigh-omnipotent in terms of power. And because of that, her aura was now going to give her yet another form of attack, defense, regeneration, etc. As it was a passive thing that would forever shield her. Meaning someone would have to shatter the aura around her before they could attack her physical form. Getting several different energies reliant on the soul was overpowered when you were the Scarlet Witch on crack. Finally after a few more moments of reigning in her aura, it was over as the bright energy around her began to recede back into her, as she smiled at Ruby. "Thank you, child. Now, will this be enough cookies?" Wanda asked, as from behind her floated three large boxes of cookies, 50 cookies in each. If the happy squeal that came from Ruby's throat was any indicator, it seemed it was. Watching as the little Cookie Monster happily took the large boxes from her, Wanda had only one thought on her mind. '...I think it's time to mess with the protégé's a bit more~' ____________________________________________________________________ Gain access to an additional chapter early for each of my main fanfics (4 chapters on total), as well as other bonuses (like more than 75 exclusive stories) on my for 3 dollars a month!
