“You…” Mai Qi was so angry she could barely speak. I looked at her with a smile. She gritted her teeth. “I’ll give Mr. Tong Le face and forgive you this time.”
I smiled. “You really don’t need to give him face, he won’t find out about it anyway.”
Mai Qi stomped her foot.
Ye Qian came to negotiate. “Alright, Mai Qi, stop being so petty. It’s fate that you guys are arranged in the same dorm, you should try to get along. Nanxing, Mai Qi is the only daughter of her family so we usually dote on her. Don’t mind her too much.”

Ye Qian stepped forward to pull my hand. “Since this is fate’s arrangement, how about we go out for dinner together with our friend?”
I pulled my hands away and said, “I’m sorry but Jing Ni and I already have another schedule. We won’t be joining.”
Mai Qi said with interest. “Sister Qian, is Mr. Jing that friend?” Ye Qian smiled wordlessly. Gu Yan glanced at me and said, “Yes, we have invited a few friends at M City to introduce to you so that you wouldn’t be so lonely when you’re here.”
Gu Yan looked at me coldly. I wasn’t that excited to see her either.
I believed the Mr. Jing was Jing Ning. So after all those twists and turns, they still got together. I was impressed by Ye Qian. This was a good thing. At least she’d stay away from my little uncle.
My little uncle sent me a message saying that he had booked us a restaurant near the university. He and Jing Tian won’t be joining us because they were busy. He told us to eat by ourselves. I showed the message to Jing Ni. She beamed with joy. “Your little uncle really knows us well.”

Jing Ni and I left the dorm. We gave our name at the front desk and the waiter led us to a private booth. When we got to the second floor, we heard laughter coming from one of the other booths. The booth’s door was left open and I immediately saw Jing Ning pouring tea for Ye Qian. What kind of destiny is this?
I averted my eyes and pretended to not see them.
“Nanxing!” “Nanxing!” I sighed internally. Jing Ni had already turned her head over. I knew from the voices that it were Jing Ning and Nanyang who called my name.
Why can’t they just pretend that I don’t exist like they did in my previous life?!
I had no choice but to pull Jing Ni to the door and greeted them. “Good evening.” There were quite a number of people inside the booth and they were all familiar faces.

I nodded at them and turned to leave.
“Nanxing, this is such a coincidence, why don’t you join us?” Ye Qian was always so generous and kind.
“Yes, Nanxing, join us.” Shi Feng smiled brightly.
Jing Ning looked at me and his tone was officious. “Nanxing, come over and sit. And Jing Ni, do you plan to ignore us forever? We’re siblings, or do you plan to not ever returning home?”
Jing Ni’s face paled.
I pushed her. “Sorry but we don’t want to disturb your meal.” We hurried to leave.
“Nanxing, come back here!” Young Master Jing’s voice was laced with anger. I turned to look at him with surprise. What is it this time?
