"I see." I said surprised at how well the story matched up.
In my experience that sort of thing only happened when someone was either not lying or had gotten the story straight beforehand. I was leaning towards the latter so far as there was no way anyone would be this trusting right? Regardless of that I had to admit that so far this did seem like a pretty good familia, definitely better than the ones on Daedalus street. Those ones were not nearly so friendly and couldn't care less about how others saw them so long as their rule over the area remained.-
"What is your opinion on your captains plans for me?" I asked testingly before I accepted the invitation to join this familia.
Hestia shrugs "You tried to help him even after getting beaten up so you can't be that bad a person. So long as you don't go around causing trouble like Alex or Bell I would be happy to welcome you to the familia." she said with a bright smile.
"Trouble? What sort of trouble?" I asked immediately with narrowed eyes.
"Alex forgets that he's still mortal sometimes and does dangerous and risky things to satisfy his curiosity. Almost got him killed a few times too. Bell though has a hero complex and can't help but try to help people even if it means offending other familias." the small goddess said with a helpless look.
I couldn't help but freeze at this as it was not at all what I had expected to hear. I thought I would finally find some sort of dirt on these people but instead I found out that they were just reckless and free willed. What was I even supposed to do with that information?-
"I guess I would like to join your familia." I muttered at this as even I had to admit that there was really no reason why I shouldn't.
"Great! Do you want to get your falna now or later after the celebration?" the cheerful goddess asked with a wide smile.
"Celebration? what celebration?" I asked confused.
"YOUR celebration silly. We celebrate when someone joins our familia or levels up!" she said still smiling that megawatt smile.
"That's not necessary." I say uncomfortable with the idea.
"Nonsense! It's tradition at this point!" she said denying my argument entirely.

Skills: Psevdos: Grants heightened affinity with illusions. All illusions are twice as potent on the unknowing.
"Another one with a skill right away!? At least this time it's nothing crazy like with Alex." the goddess exclaimed after looking over my falna.
"Well how bad is it?" I asked a little nervously.
I had decided to get the falna out of the way right away before my own paranoia could get me all wound up. Getting handed a sheet of paper I looked it over but wasn't sure what any of this actually meant.
"Bad? It's really good! New adventurers having a skill as soon as they get their falna is very rare. Spells are similar but much more common if someone had studied magic before they receive the blessing." Hestia explained with a proud look.
"You said your, well mine too now I guess, captain also had a skill right away?" I asked and she nodded.
"His skill is a bit... special. You should ask him about it instead of me, most of the details go right over my head." She said with a nod.
I REALLY wanted the earth to swallow me when the bubbly goddess practically dragged me out of the basement and summoned the rest of the familia to announce my membership. There was cheering from all but two of my fellow members. The girl with red hair and a skeptic attitude and the blonde Renard who looked too introverted to raise her voice at all though she did smile and hold her hand up in support for the cheer.-
"Before we go celebrate our newest member joining our little familia we have some debts to settle. Everyone get geared up, we are going to Daedalus street!" the captain commanded and it was like a switch flipped as everyone turned serious immediately.
"Are you sure about this? I don't think the Moloch familia will just let me settle my debt so easily." I said worriedly to the captain as everyone walked quickly to the manor to gear up.
He just grinned though "I think you underestimate just how much power this familia has, their compliance in the matter is not a factor. They have no choice but to take the money and leave you alone or they won't exist for much longer." he said confidently and I had a hard time believing him.
How could I not when for my entire life that familia has lorded over a big section of Daedalus street nearly unchallenged. They even had a level four as their captain! My own captain had an odd reaction when I gave him this information, disappointment. Yes he seemed to be genuinely let down by the information but refused to explain why beyond simply a single word, watch.-
I ended up having to wait outside the mans workshop as he got geared up and the others gathered as well in their own gear and they looked impressive I have to admit. The white haired boy, Bell I learned, was dressed in a hide armor with thick plates of metal over his vitals as well as an odd looking blade and dagger set on his back. The black haired woman, Cassandra, was clearly a mage with her staff and robes though she had on a white pair of gloves that glowed for some reason.-
The red headed woman, Daphne, stood next to Cassandra with a stern expression and light armor as well as a long thin sword. The Pallum woman, Lili, had on simple light cloth armor and several small bags at her waist but no weapons. The Renard, Haruhime, was staying here though since she was still in training apparently. To my surprise the cat from earlier strolled casually into the church and my thoughts on it being abnormal were proven true as most of the others besides Cassandra shied away from it while the black haired woman simply picked it up like a normal cat and started petting it with a smile.
