Cyber Era Witch Chapter 53

53: Chapter 39 Connection 53: Chapter 39 Connection “I love you, beyond a shadow of a doubt,” Xu Yang said. Love is a complex noun, and Xu Yang said it with a sincere attitude. “Unconditionally and without bottom line?” Farosa pressed. “I have to be responsible for everyone. Others, they need me.” But Xu Yang was also acutely aware, a warning in his consciousness not to make thoughtless speeches or promises lightly. “That’s an illusion,” Farosa whispered into Xu Yang’s ear, “They can live on their own without you, but I need you; I need you the most. I need your care and guidance. I want to become a more complete, more modern Witch with your help. This is what you promised, isn’t it? They are insignificant; I am the most important to you.” She nibbled on his ear, making his mind sway. “Did I make you feel absent-minded?” Farosa looked at Xu Yang’s state. didn’t,” Xu Yang hesitated somewhat. Even the best hacker information modules didn’t have the decryption code for this. There was a knock on the door outside. Are you in there?” Cui Junyou’s voice. “What’s up?” Xu Yang felt slightly disoriented. it’s time to leave,” he said. “You don’t sound so sure,” Xu Yang felt Cui Junyou was beating around the bush. “Actually, it’s Lila who said it,” Cui Junyou hesitated, “Lila left me a bunch of messages, telling me to find you in this room. I just saw them when I woke up. She seemed unwilling to come and call you herself.” With Lila’s Super Perception, she probably heard everything Farosa and I said clearly. Xu Yang felt exposed, especially regarding Farosa’s matters, fearing that Lila already had a copy. If Farosa knew about this, she would definitely kill Lila at all costs. “Hurry and put on your clothes,” Xu Yang said in a low voice to Farosa, “When we get to the place to buy clothes, there are even more beautiful clothes waiting for you to choose in this era. I think you would look good in stockings.” “I only listen to you, and you have to listen to me,” Farosa whispered, although she didn’t yet know what stockings were. Afterward, she quietly watched Xu Yang in the darkness, like a malicious black cat, unpredictable in what she would do next, whether to bring more turmoil and risk or to genuinely care for others. Xu Yang opened the door and went out, closing it behind him. After he left, Farosa looked at her palm in the dark, grey and red lights intertwining, more luminous than before. Sharing her matters and “love” with Xu Yang was a big stimulus for her. In contact with Xu Yang, Farosa’s heart raced with excitement, and it seemed her Magic Power was also awakened significantly. Even after resting for a few hours, the effect remained, signifying the positive impact of their interaction. Farosa couldn’t help but think, if she really did ‘that’ with Xu Yang, how much would her Magic Power recover? Feeling the slightly more abundant Magic Power inside her, Farosa’s expression became colder. Since awakening, the most prevalent thing she felt was—this twisted world needs correction. Everything should return to the starting point, back to the way she liked it. Farosa picked up the mercenaries’ clothes she had taken off, which were now somewhat dirty. She looked at them, invoked the Law of Recovery, and the clothes quickly changed, becoming clean, smooth, and soft before she slowly put them on. On the other side, Xu Yang ran downstairs and got into the Shuttle Machine before everyone else. “Lila?” he looked up, “What’s the matter?” “Farosa is a dangerous Witch,” Lila emitted, her voice a cold electronic synthesis, “You should avoid being alone with her as much as possible.” I think it’s okay,” Xu Yang said nonchalantly, “I find her company rather comfortable.” “If you have physical needs,” Lila said, “I just want to say that this body of mine can do everything a real person can, and it’s integrated with more modern features.” Lila rested one hand on her cheek and turned her head to look at Xu Yang. Her meticulously crafted face was tempting. Her eyes held a Phantom-like light, and her perfect figure was wrapped in a white bodysuit. “Not the right time,” Xu Yang waved his hand. “Whenever you need me, please summon me, master.” “Since when did I become your master?” “I’ve always thought of it that way.” “Let’s put that aside for now. Maybe you should give me some privacy and Farosa’s privacy too. Did you hear what happened with Farosa?” “Your nature allows you to deal with everything casually, but it can also invite unnecessary risks. Not everyone is willing to treat you with honesty. If someone takes advantage of your generosity through their cunning, you will end up in trouble.” “What are you implying?” “Farosa, she told you her story to gain your sympathy and consequently, your compliance, to use your resources to compensate for her pain, even though that’s just an illusion separated by a thousand years.” “I don’t think so, that’s Farosa’s past. For her, a thousand years passed as quickly as the blink of an eye, and her story seems to her as if it happened yesterday.” “Many lives in the world are unhappy, and none are without pain,” Lila concluded, “Master, I will always keep an eye on her.” Footsteps were heard outside, the others were getting close, Lila didn’t continue this conversation but quickly downloaded a picture to the central console for Xu Yang to see. Xu Yang walked up to the console, his eyes narrowing. It was a photo from a commercial exhibition event of Thousand Lakes Electronics Company 30 years ago. Several Battle Witches were getting out of a stretch luxury car. They all had silver hair, were robust, with cold facial features, tall and shapely figures encased in black tight fighting suits, armored with a lot of technical equipment to assist in movements, carrying steel wings, firearms, and large melee weapons.
