The one who made the remark subconsciously trembled in fear and hid behind his mother after hearing Kulas' words and sensing his killing intent.
"Even if you're my own son, I won't tolerate such bullshit!" Kulas spoke as he started walking toward his son. "I won't kill you, but I also won't hesitate to disown you!"
Seeing this, Tian Yang quickly spoke, "Relax. He has a good reason to be suspicious of me. I would do the same if I were in his shoes. Save your energy for something more useful, like figuring out the cause of your illness. No, it cannot even be called an illness. It's more like a phenomenon at this point."
"By the way, what did you speak to the Three Pillars of Heaven about previously? Perhaps the subject had triggered your phenomenon." Ren Xiaa suddenly asked.
"Well, we talked about…" Kulas started his sentence but abruptly halted midway. "Now that I think about it, what did we talk about?"
He wore a pondering look on his face as he tried to recall what he spoke about with the Three Pillars of Heaven. Yet, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't seem to remember anything prior to his mood swing.
It was extremely odd, considering that he typically only lost memories of the time he spent while affected by the phenomenon. This implied that the phenomenon might have begun the moment their conversation began, which is why he couldn't remember anything.
"So, what now?" Tian Yang asked. "Although I may be able to prevent the phenomenon from occurring by being near you, it doesn't fix the core issue at hand."
"Just preventing it is good enough for now," Kulas said. "Once I deal with the issue with the Three Pillars of Heaven, I will focus on finding a real cure."
He turned to look at Ren Xia and continued, "Sorry, but I will have to borrow your husband for some time."
She frowned and replied, "Why are you making it sound so weird? We'll just be living here like before."
"No, it won't be like before, especially since we are at war. But don't worry, I'll ensure your safety even at the cost of my life."
Tian Yang laughed, "Big words from someone who still hasn't defeated me once. We can protect ourselves, so focus on your own issues."
Thus, Tian Yang and Ren Xia returned to living within the palace. However, just as Kulas said, it was different from before. From the tense atmosphere to the constant alertness around him, it made Tian Yang feel as though he was still fighting the Immortal Clans, even though he was not involved in the war personally.
Time passed in a flash, and Kulas remained healthy for the next two hundred years, further proving that Tian Yang's presence kept his phenomenon at bay.
Then, another three hundred years passed.
It has been five hundred years since Tian Yang started staying at the palace, and Kulas hasn't had a single mood swing, putting his family at ease. Although his family no longer were suspicious of Tian Yang, they definitely still didn't like him. The reason? It was simply due to jealousy.
Forget about his own children; even his wives were envious of their relationship.
"Aren't you jealous of your husband's relationship with ours?" One of them suddenly asked Ren Xia when they crossed paths in the halls.
Ren Xia chucked, "Why would I be jealous? If anyone is jealous, it would be Kulas. If he were born a woman, he would've definitely fallen head over heels for Tian Yang."

Kulas' wife couldn't believe how bold and rude Ren Xia was towards Kulas. "You speak as if you are close to my husband. I thought you were just Senior Tian's partner?"
"I wouldn't call us close, but we were once engaged with each other. Of course, it wasn't of our own free will but the result of our parents' selfishness. Because of that, we'd often argue. It's the exact opposite relationship he has with my husband."
After that conversation, Ren Xia began getting to know Kulas' wives who weren't Chao Shuying, as they'd start approaching her to complain about Kulas, and she found it highly entertaining.
As time continued to pass, the Three Pillars of Heaven's assault on the Giant Race became more frequent, with giants being attacked almost once a week.
But despite all that, the Giant Race remained unyielding. If anything, their power grew, fueled by their anger toward the Three Pillars of Heaven.
By now, two thousand years have passed since their war began. Although most of the world was still unaware of it, some of the more influential and powerful factions have started to realize it. While they didn't plan to join the war, they began preparing for the worst-case scenario.
As for the progression in cultivation, nobody has managed to break through past the True Immortal realm yet.

It has been four thousand years since Kulas' last mood swing, and because it has been so long, Kulas has begun to believe he has been cured. However, the moment he started being hopeful, the phenomenon returned.

"Hey! Wake the hell up!" Tian Yang fought Kulas with incredible difficulty. Since Kulas never stopped training, even increasing the amount he trained, he had almost caught up to Tian Yang. Not only that, but the phenomenon boosted his strength tremendously. Of course, the naked sight of Kulas, who was just cultivating with his wife, didn't help at all.
Fortunately, Ren Xia and the others came to assist him. However, even with help, Kulas was almost unstoppable, and their clash destroyed over half of the palace over the next several days.
