Seraphina sat on the massive bed in her room, her delicate fingers tracing the intricate designs on the quilt. Seraphina's eyes narrowed. "I'm not canceling anything."

"Irrelevant," her father interrupted, his smile vanishing entirely. "You will not go on this date, Seraphina. End of discussion."
Then, without warning, the temperature in the room spiked dramatically. Lord Valenbrook released his aura, an overwhelming, oppressive heat that filled the space. The walls seemed to radiate with it, and the air itself became thick and stifling. His power was undeniable, and for a moment, it was hard to breathe.

Seraphina's jaw clenched, her fists tightening at her sides. Despite the stifling heat, she felt a wave of icy determination wash over her. She took a step closer, her defiance unwavering.

Valenbrook's gaze hardened, and his voice dropped into a dangerously low tone. "You dare defy me? After everything I've given you?"
Seraphina's lip curled in disdain. "You've given me nothing but a gilded cage." Her voice turned icy, mirroring his aura. "And now, I'm telling you, no. I'll do as I please. Rex is my decision, not yours."

"A brute," Seraphina cut him off sharply, her voice filled with venom. "You're a brute who only knows how to bully people into submission. But I won't be bullied. Not anymore."

With that, he turned on his heel and left the room, his presence lingering like a dark cloud even after he was gone.
Seraphina stood there, her heart pounding in her chest. She took a deep breath, her body still buzzing from the confrontation. She had won this round, but she knew her father wouldn't let this go so easily.

"Brute," she muttered under her breath, shaking her head as she sat back down on the bed.

After the last war between humans and beasts, his attitude even grew stronger. Even when her mother, his wife died during the war, he didn't even flinch.
"She was weak, never worthy of the position of being a Valenbrook's Lady" He said on the night she died.
"Being a Valenbrook? What does that even mean?" She muttered.
If being a Valenbrook meant she would never be ale to make her own choices, then she despised the name! She didn't ask to be born in it in the first place!
