IVAN
Class ended a hour ago and I didn't waste any minutes in going home. I head straight to my room to take a shower. After that, I head downstairs to the kitchen to have dinner.
"Honey ,how was school today ?" My mum ask while setting the plates.
"School was fine,".
" Any girlfriend yet" she joked .
I don't like it when any of my families bring up this girlfriend subject . It irks me whenever I remembered my previous relationship.
"Mooom" I groaned " I have no one yet"
"are you sure? "
" I'm serious mom"
"OK, come have your seat"
Anytime I remember the incidence with my ex girlfriend, I always loose it. I tend to be angry which is why I don't like bringing it up, its so heartbroken and full of regret . I regret knowing my ex.
After dinner I went to get ready for tonight's party . Emilia is in her room doing her assignments.
AT THE PARTY
Music was bubbling, people were dancing ,smoking ,drinking.Some were already drunk.The house was smelling like weed and all sort of drinks.
I pity the person cleaning this house because of the empty cups of drinks all littered all over the place.
" hey Ivan " James waved me over.
Actually, he is the organizer of the party and From his stance I know he is a guy that loves partying. He is good at organising parties too. The drinks were enough for everyone, the setting of the house ,the arrangement of the dance floor . He really organized everything perfectly .
I went up to meet James and the remaining crew. We did our bro greeting.
"What's up man" They all greeted.
"Ivan, I heard people saying you're the hero who rejected Natalia at the party lastweek?" one of the guys asked,his name is matt I think. I wonder why people took the rejection seriously . Is she some kind ofcelebrity or what?.
" yeah, I don't have time for bitches like her"I told them scowling.
The guys told me why people took the rejection on Natalia seriously. They said she is one of the female whore of the school ,she sleeps with peoples boyfriends. I wonder if the guys she is fooling around with ,are blind or what ,she has nothing to offer except sex.....bullshit.
We continue to talk about the bitches of the school and how they seduce guys and lure them to sleep with them. I'm so lucky to meet the my new friends....they are so cool..
The guys told me about a guy called Thomas , he was a victim that fell in the hands of Natalia. He became her play toy few months back.Well to me they both enjoyed it, if the Thomas guy don't like it he ought to have dumbed her. They also said he is one of their friends, but he didn't come for the party tonight.
I just pity the guy,girls like Natalia are conniving bitches. He is a fool for cheating on his Ex girlfriend with someone like Natalia . Well enough of Thomas guy.
That's how we partied and drank till we became drunk.

Lucy POV
I woke up with serious headache today. Yesterday was so tiring and stressful with all the work at Collins special . I took my bath and sashayed to take the pills on my nightstand. I finished preparing for school and went straight to the kitchen to have my breakfast. My mum had gone to work already, I saw the note she left on the kitchen counter it says
Good morning honey.I left some money on the dinning table . use it to buy anything you want after school.
Love you.
Mom.
I quickly ate my breakfast and left for school. Thank God the headache had reduced and I made it to school on time .
I ran towards my class but unfortunately for me, I bumped into a hard chest and fell on my butt.
I stood up to confront whosoever it was and , guess who? Its the handsome jerk , my dream guy.
"You" we both said in unison.
"I knew you had problem with your eyes if not, you wouldn't keep bumping into me " he said glaring.
" what are you? The President son or what.?were you not taught how to apologise to a lady and how to treat one dumb ass" I also glared at him.
" whatever" he said and left. I stood still like a statue as I look at his retreating back.
I kept asking myself does he have a problem with me or is this how he treats all the ladies around him...well ,what so ever his problem is, I must find out why he behaves like this.
When I reached my next class guess who I saw on my desk..

. I don't even know why I keep calling him handsome jerk, maybe its because he is handsome and he is a jerk.
I made my way to the handsome jerk on my seat .I stood in front of him while glaring down at him.
"What do you want again" he ask with a scowl
"Stand up from my desk ,I want to sit down" I scowled at him
He eyed the desk and look up and glare at me " your name isn't written on the desk "
"look, I don't have time to stard an argument right now so please pack your belongings and look for an empty seat to sit on"
He didn't say anything ,he just sat down and kept on using his iPhone as if I wasn't talking to him. What's wrong with this guy and his annoying attitude. As if on cue our teacher entered the class room ,when she saw me standing she asked why.
"Ms Andrew,what are you doing standing? " she ask.
"This new guy here sat on my seat" I said pointing finger at handsome jerk
"I nicely told him to please look for another seat but he refused" I said.
"Mr David please if you may kindly take the next seat at the back , we can start our class" she said nicely to him. He stood up and took the next seat. All this while the class had been looking at us.
The bell later rang. Abby and i made our way to the cafeteria for lunch,She also saw what happened earlier.
"What is wrong with that Ivan. What's his problem" Abby asked.
"I don't know what his problem is, he is just a jerk" I said with ashrugged.
"Your handsome jerk" she tease
Since the time I told her I prefer calling him handsome jerk. She like teasing me with it.
" stop it Abby, I don't like it " I said trying to be serious but failed miserably and smiled.
"Stop what? I should stop saying handsome or the jerk ? Which one " she kept teasing me with the name.
we reached the cafeteria and we went to buy our food then made our way to our table to eat.
Abby kept turning to look at the popular guy's table.I just shrugged, maybe she was looking at James .
I didn't tell Abby about James glaring at Manuel when he kissed her. If he likes her he should act like a man and ask her out but instead ,he keeps on messing around with girls. Abby stopped looking at the table and said:
"Look at Ivan with the popular guys". I turned to see if it was true and unfortunate for me, he caught me staring so I quickly divert my gaze.
" well what do you expect, he is handsome and all that. He has all the qualities of being popular,the only problem is that he is a jerk" I told her.
" yeah that's true" she agreed with me. I ask her about her relationship with Manuel in other to change the topic.
"We are doing good. I met his junior sister yesterday... She is so cute just like him" she said with a smile.
"Wow very soon you will meet his parents" I teased her.. She choked on her drink..
"No no no, its so soon" she said while shaking her head.
"it's no big deal, very soon you guys will hit the L word " I joked . she glared at me.
"If you don't keep shut I'll finish your fries for you" she threatened , I glared at her. I love food, anyone who messes with my food is in deep trouble with me.

" Dear, their is going to be an event nextweek in the company and I would love it if you go with me as my partner. " mom said and continue mixing her cake
" what event is that? " I asked confused
" oh! I didn't tell you? " I shake my head
" our company received an award as the best business company in Lagos. It such a great achievement dear, which was why our boss plan for a celebration party to take place. I wouldn't want to go alone which is why I want you to go with me and please don't say you have an assignment to do or some flimsy excuses of yours"
" but moooom" I groaned " you know how I hate all this kinds of event. It isn't my thing"
" it has to be your thing from now henceforth coz I'm not taking no for a answer "
I scowled " what choice do I have? "
" non "
" OK I'm going but I have no suitable dress for the party"
She smiled ,a really broad smile at that " I have already taken care of that"
I look at her in disbelieve " what if I'm not going? "
" I know you'll go" she smile. She is scaring me now with all her smile, I hope she isn't hiding anything from me.
