Chapter 59: Good News and Bad News

Gomez Jane gently waved Dual-Moon in the yard. They flied up and down in the sunshine, like a pair of butterflies! Only at this moment did Qian Jin discover that the woman was much stronger than he was!
After a few movements, Gomez Jane approached Qian Jin while taking Dual-Moon back into her sleeves. Without any notice, she tilted her body and the red lips slightly fell onto the man’s face just like that! And that along with a soft "Thank you"!
Qian Jin blushed all over his face! What was that unexpected kiss for? He was in a total loss while the woman had already vanished! Qian Jin quickly raised his hand to scratch his head in order to hide the embarrassment! "What had just happened? I hope Fabreidis would not kill me for this!" he thought.
Fatigue brought forth by the overload today started to reach Qian Jin after returning to the hall. After grabbing Fabreidis’s glass cup, he gulped it down as if he was desperately thirsty!
"Qian Jin, I have to tell you something." Fabreidis picked up a serious look. "Don’t go into the Warrior Energy Concentration Array build by your school even if you got the chance someday!"
"What?" Qian Jin was confused! "To become a real warrior, one must go through the Array! That was out of question! Why would Fabreidis tell me not to?"
"If you had any difficulty dealing with the academy, just tell me! I will negotiate for you!" Fabreidis made this decision on his own. "I think you have the potential of becoming a Level 10 Warrior, and that day would be the best time for you to go through the Array! That would be totally different from the current situation since you are just a Level 6 Warrior now! Many young warriors would get into the array immediately once they get qualified just trying to get recruited by a better academy. Don’t do that! Keep it in mind!"
Qian Jin was beyond happy that Fabreidis were being so honest with him though it had not been an unknown secret. It was kept in many books how a warrior would be qualified for the Array, and when they should take the opportunity. But patience had long been an endangered trait! Some people just couldn’t wait, which was nothing different from drinking poison to quench thirst in the desert!
Some Level 9 Warriors would stay where they were even after ten years of practicing! There was a bottleneck! And some would give up and use the arrary as they couldn’t afford being stuck for another decade!
Even this theory was all over there on the books, but not everyone had the persistence!
"You must hold back until you are a Level 10 Warrior! At that time..." Fabreidis knocked on the table following a regular pattern before he continued, "I will manage to construct a single array for you! And you will become a true master!"
"What?!" Qian Jin jumped up from the chair, looked at the man in shock and could not utter a word in a long time!
A single array?! That was also an array just as a group! But, anyone who knew about it would admit that a single array was far more superior, and it would do greater help!
It was so valuable that it could bankrupt any small to midium families! Usually, only the first legitimate son from those most distinguished families or Bloodline Warriors families could afford a single array! It was out of league for the ordinary!
Qian Jin swallowed the lump in his throat and tried to figure out the situation here! On what earth should the revival of two sets of Warrior Weapon be worth of a single array?
"Are you alright?" Fabreidis was also shocked by his reaction. “Don’t you like it?"
Qian Jin sunk back into his seat, then he asked, "Do you mean it?"
"Of course!" Fabreidis nodded in confirmation while talking to himself in heart. “Sooner or later, you boy will become my son-in-law! What big deal it is if I prepared a single array for you! Nothing compares to you even if it would cost me my entire fortune!"
Qian Jin was so thrilled that he almost wanted to rush back to school! He wanted to hug Instructor Rodriguez tightly, and he wanted to give him a big kiss! It was him who made Qian Jin to come to see Fabreidis!
A single array! Even if Qian Jin was indifferent to fame and wealth, but for god’s sake, it was a single array!
"And, Fabreidis," he pondered, "Can I ask you a favor?"
Fabreidis slapped his own thighs and resolutely said. "Just name it!" There was nothing he would not do for his son-in-law who did not ask for help easily!
"It’s just what I did today," Qian Jin said, grinning, " Can we keep it just in this room?"
Fabreidis smiled with great satisfaction! His son-in-law was an excellent warrior who knew how to forge and sharpen a weapon! And he had gotten a clear mind! It was truly a smart thing to do to keep the whole thing in low key!
"Do not worry!" Fabreidis knocked on the table and said, "Your secret is safe with me and my daughter!"
Sensing the serenity of this amiable elder, Qian Jin got up and expressed his gratitude. After a discussion of some questions about the warrior cultivation and a dinner, he left.
Getting the bonus of a single array for free and some instructions from the city guardian, Qian Jin was in a good mood, and he sang all the way back to school! Once again in the dusk, Instructor Rodriguez was there pacing back and forth by the gate.
"How are you, dear Instructor Rodriguez?"
"Save the useless words!" Rodriguez patted Qian Jin on his shoulder. “There is a good news and a bad news! Which one do you prefer?"
"The good one!" Qian Jin did not want the bad news to ruin his mood first!
"The date of your test is settled: it’s going to be in half a month!"
"Wow Oh ~ that’s cool!" Qian Jin gently clapped his hands! How lucky he was that the pies kept dropping from the sky one after another! This time would be a great opportunity to scout the way to reach the treasure map! Preparation could be made at once in case some unexpected protectors were in his way! Accidents were the last thing Qian Jin would want because of carelessness!
"And the bad news..." Rodriguez looked at the young man with some sympathy. "The test has been made more difficult for what you did this morning. The Managing Director Caeller said you must be assigned with a helper to take the test together! And, either of you failed, you both failed!"
"A helper? Who is the poor baby?" Qian Jin couldn’t help but feel a little sorry for the unlucky "helper" who was involved into this because he offended the director!
"Who would it be?" Rodriguez sighed: "It’s the world-known Gabriella! The allegedly poorest student in Grade Two in the Mage Branch! You would probably fail the test because of the burden! So, it is yourself that you should feel sorry for instead of her!"
