Claimed by The Mafia and Alpha King Chapter 8

LUNA ASTERBELLE’s POV From the very moment that he laid his chest on mine, his rapid heart beat hasn’t returned to its normal state. I could say that it’s even faster than mine, as if he’s the one who’s being locked away from having the chance to escape. “H-hey… You’re suffocating me,” I whispered, noticing how close our distance from each other was. Although, despite him being near me, I can’t get a proper look on what he really looks like. “Don’t glance at my face, you wouldn’t recognize me either way, Luna. It would be best for you not to know who I am,” he said in such a serious tone before finally letting go of my wrist and setting me free. “What am I supposed to call you when I don’t know who you are?” A moment of silence occurred between the two of us before he replied. “Eman. You can call me Eman for now. Though, it’s not like you need to remember my name.” Despite the reality that we’re already a few meters apart, I still can't forget the feeling of having our skins pressed upon one another. I’m desiring something more and deeper than that. “Seriously speaking, I need to stay somewhere for the night… I’ve been casted away by my own pack, and it’s dangerous for someone like me to carelessly sleep outside.” My mind was still full of worries every single time that I remember what that creature told me… that my blood was something that was considered as a treasure— a viscous liquid that would be worth dying for. “Find someone else that you can rely on. I’ll be burning this place down, it reeks of the scent of my… parents. And also that damn murderer.” Even though Eman didn’t contain an aura like the others, there was still a glimpse of bloodlust lurking around his soul. If some kind of event would trigger his anger, then he would surely be bursting all of his emotions out and would be getting out of control, just like a beast going on a killing spree. My lips parted in pity of him. “So that’s why you didn’t want me to ask about your parents…” I mumbled to myself. “Surely you have at least one friend that you can go to, right? If there’s really no one that you can think of, you can go over to my place, but it wouldn’t be for free. Everything comes with a price these days,” Eman muttered, purposely dodging the topic away from his parents. “Oh, right… You had that girl friend of yours at the cafeteria, you can consider heading to her place. I’ll lead you the way.” Eman no longer gave me any other choice. He carried me in a bridal style as he flew around the sky as if there’s nothing unusual about having the capabilities to fly. “H-hey, slow down! You’re making me lose consciousness…” My words can’t reach him, or he’s intentionally ignoring whatever I said. In less than five minutes, he brought me to the ground. “We’re here,” he announced.” I rubbed both of my eyes with my tiny hands before having a view of Yve's house. “We’re really here…” I don’t know how Eman knew the location of Yve’s home, and even if I wanted to ask him, he was already gone by the next second that I glanced behind me. Without any further ado, I rang the doorbell. “Yve? It’s me, Luna…” I had to repeat the same action over and over again just for her to open the door. “What is a hellish creature like you doing inside my premises?” she initially asked, without even ensuring my safety. I gulped as I knew that she was no longer the same Yve that I knew years ago. “Can’t we talk this out for a while? I’m still your best friend. I’m still Luna Asterbelle. I didn’t harm any of my friends, my family, or not even the strangers that I have crossed paths with. Believe me, Yve… At least be the only one left who’d have faith in a hybrid such as myself, please?” I knelt on the ground as I sincerely begged her to listen to my words. Yve’s shoulders motioned up and down as she sighed. “Come in,” she said as she gave way for me to enter her house. “Halt there, Luna. You can only step on that spot and nowhere else. I won’t allow you to freely roam around my house anymore, I won’t put the lives of my family at risk because of how much trust I have in you even now.” Even from a distance, I saw how her sister was hiding from the edge of the sofa in their living room. I smiled at her to greet her, but she chose to ignore me. She wasn’t like that before. Yve might have told her whole family about the transformation that occurred to me, and they might not welcome me here anymore just like how they used to before. “Yve, please tell me what should I do? There’s a lot of mortals and immortals out there who are haunting me— all of them have the desire to annihilate me and make use of my blood for their own satisfaction. I don’t want to be the start of another judgment day. I know just how dangerous it would be if they lay their hands upon my blood, I know that they wouldn’t use it for the greater good,” I explained my situation to her, in hopes that she would be able to help me. A faint smirk appeared on her lips. “Blood? Judgment day? From the gist of it, it seems like you have a premonition about what would happen to us in the future, huh. Is that what a disgusting vampire can do?” She mocked me. I suppressed the anger that I felt inside. I have to remain calm as much as I can. I don’t want to harm my dearest friend since she’s the last one that I can run to. “If your blood can do so much… Then, I shouldn’t let you neither be seen nor touched by anybody else, right?” Yve closed the distance between us. There was this evil look planted on her facial expression, and even her aura was shining with extreme selfishness. “Since you’re my friend… you’ll give me at least a drop of your blood, right?” Yve jumped to trap me with her muscular arms, since compared to me, she has trained physically from the day that she turned to a teenager.
