Promise are meant to be broken. Just like what Clay promised to not betray Xiera, that he won’t make her for a fool.
When I got home, I immediately told Xiera about what happened. At first she didn’t believe it, so she went to her cheating-motherfucking-asshole boyfriend to confirm of what I'm saying is true. He is a big 'LIAR' if he denies that. I see it on my own two eyes!
When Xiera came home, she was already crying so I comforted her.
I went downstairs to get water for Xiera, she didn't want to eat so maybe water will do, it'll come her down for a little.
When I suddenly met the queen of hell—mother.
"You did something don't you?! You sabotage their relationship! Don't you deny it to me, you can fool Xiera but not me! You did that to get revenge on her! Because we only have our attention on her while we despise you! You paid her boyfriend to tell Xiera that he has another woman so that they would broke up!" Mother shouted at me angrily.
I frowned and grinned. If you used to oppress me, not now. I will fight you.
"Let me give you a correction to that part...that you only have your attention full on Xiera, while you don't give me any. No, you're definitely wrong. YOUR attention is always on ME. YOUR attention is on ME from the very beginning. And why should I be jealous of Xiera? I can't see any point that'll make me jealous of her, I am actually happy because I was freed to that fucking expectations of yours. What am I a fucking robot that you can control whenever you want me to? Tss, and is it my fault that her boyfriend cheated on her? Think before you say anything MOTHER, you're making it very visible how brainless you actually are—" I was taken aback when she suddenly slapped me. I grinned at her.
Looks like I provoked her. Reality hits very painful.
"You have no respect! You have no respect! You have no gratitude! You have no right to say that, because you are only a child! You are only MY child. You know nothing!"
"Does reality hit hard enough to make you slap me like that? You actually don't have any right to slap me or to hurt me. Because you are just MY mother. You don't even take care of me. So, you don't have any rights to ask me to respect you just like that if you yourself never respected me. So, I gotta get going now, MOTHER. My twin needs me"
I smiled at the promise and turned my back on her.
After a week ...
She was able to eat well again, she was able to gain her appetite. She ate with us again. She understood what I said to her. That's a good thing.
Because of what happened. Her former slightly higher score in exams and quizzes has dropped again so our parents are furious again—of course not to her but to me. You know exactly why, right?
"I'll really gonna tutor you, Xiera! And you won't be able to stop me this time" I told her.
"B-But, Dev -"
"No buts" I hushed her. She sighed. And just nodded.

| AFTER 1 1/2 YEAR |
Xiera's quizzes and exams are in full swing. I was able to be one of the honor students out there. Yeah, she improved that big. But my plan was still going. As long as she's not as smart as me my plan won't stop.
The case now is a lot of students is bullying Xiera and me so I always get into fights because they call me stupid, and I get hurt not for me, but for Xiera. They don’t tell her that directly, but she answers my quizzes and exams. So my low scores on quizzes and test and even on grades definitely was her fault.
"Even though your scores are going up, you're still stupid, Xyna! YOU'RE STILL STUPID!" Said the boy in front of me. And by that I snapped and totally lose my patience.
I approached him and pushed him body.
"I'm so full of you idiots! You're bored with your own life so you decided to mess with someone else life. If you're that bored then just jump off the building! You all are useless! You're not even that smart to call me stupid!" I kicked his foot. So It ran away.
He acted tough but he's as coward as the other, tsk. I can't help but to shook my head.
"I'm sorry, Dev. It's because of me that you're being bullied too" she said sadly.
"It's not your fault" I just said and turned my back on her. I don’t know why I changed. I used to say ‘we are twins, so we love each other and I love you’. Now I can't even say I love her. And it was as if I thought of it as some cringe words, err.
After that we went home.
