Aurora could feel the fabric of the beautiful blue evening dress that cascaded down to the floor, hugging her curves perfectly. She looked around and noticed she was by the tables and a glass of wine. She’s in the business events where she pleaded with her parents to let her come.
A hand-held her waist and she looked up and saw her father who was wearing his usual suit, smiling at her and had teary eyes and furrowed eyebrows, she asked, “Dad, why are you crying?”
He shook his head, “It’s just you’re now a woman now, my dear, how fast time flies. but you're still my baby girl no matter what.” He said and beside her was her mom, chuckling at her husband’s reaction.
“Honey, you’re being dramatic. Remember we are at a party.” She reminded and her dad instantly fixed her composure. “Oh c’mon, babe, I’m not being dramatic.” Her dad said defensively and Aurora just laughed at him. Really, her dad is still a small boy at heart. Sometimes she acts so childish but in a cute and adorable way. Plus, so protective.
“You can go dance dear, I’ll keep your dad busy here.” Her mom said and she smiled, standing up and looking at the person that she was looking for the whole night. The reason why she was desperate to go to this party.
She went around for a few seconds and saw him. Reagan. Her all-time crush.
The smile she was fighting back immediately surfaced and she quickly wanted to approach him. Gathering all the courage she had, she yelled, “Reagan.”
Reagan turned to look at her, “Oh, Aurora.” He said back, his tone bored. His piercings on his lips and ears added to his charisma with his suit and tie. He looked uncomfortable wearing it as he’s used to wearing some dark leather jacket and normal jeans. but he looked perfect in Aurora’s eyes.
She silently stood there, awkwardly trying to rummage her mind for anything to talk about with him. Just then, she was stopped when a woman came to grab him by his arms and pulled him somewhere.
She followed them to where they were headed and saw the two were making out by the door of the restroom. She gulped, feeling her heart aching from the start. She saw him doing this by a lot of girls in her school, what’d she expect?
Running back to the table where her parents are, Aurora fights the urge to cry in front of them. Instead, she said, “Mom. I’ll go home now.”
Her mom raised her eyebrows, “Didn't you plead with us to go to this event last night, my dear? Why are you in a hurry to go? Did something happen?”
She instantly shook her head,d which is a mistake since her mom is sensitive enough to guess it. “Oh. it’s about Reagan, isn’t it? What did that boy do?” She asked calmly.
She gulped, not meeting her eyes from lying, “Nothing mom, I just want to be alone.”
“Awe, you two are friends since you were a child. Don’t you remember? You promised each other to marry when you grow up. He even proposed.”
Yeah, she knew that perfectly well. Her parents always said that and that seemed to print out in her head.
“Things are not the same anymore, mom.” She said.
“Give him a chance dear.”
She shook her head, sensing that her mom wouldn’t say that, and ran.
But then she saw a cliff by the end and saw everything disappearing and turning into hollow blocks.
She looked around in panic and the scenery changed into a tunnel and by the end, there was a blinding brightness, tempting her to run there.
And Reagan was there, surprisingly, mouthing something.

And her eyes flickered open by the sound, to see Reagan’s face all too close to her face and almost inches away from her. His hazel eyes shone brightly gazing down at her, his lips curled a bit into a smile.
“Reagan.” She breathed out.
“Aurora.” He replied, his breath fanning her nose, and when she realized what was happening, she pushed his face away and sat upright. Right, that was just a dream earlier…it just felt too real.
He cleared his throat, “Finally, you woke up, I was just waking you for ten minutes.” His hands then reached her forehead, checking something, and looked at her eyes with an examined look, and nodded his head for himself.

The food was by the side table, carefully placed there and Reagan grabbed the spoon, “Come on, open your mouth for me.”
She was on alert by that, “What?”
He giggled “Oops, that came out wrong. I mean, I’ll be feeding you.” He teased and she grabbed the spoon from his hand.
“Thank you for your help but I can eat by myself.” She said, spooning some eggs and hotdogs with some rice.

Reagan nodded “Yes. I have to make sure you are getting your nutrition, princess. After all, you were just injured yesterday.”
She heaved a sigh, “I’m not a child.”

He scoffed and just stood up to leave. Aurora sighed, feeling at ease now that he was not there anymore. She ate alone and in peace and when she finished, Reagan came back to grab the empty plates and when a ringtone sounded from his pocket of jeans.
He grabbed his phone from his pocket and looked at the caller id and turned to her with wide eyes.
She rolled her eyes, “What? Why are you staring like that?”
“It’s your dad. He’s calling.”
She blinked, processing it. She instantly tried to stand up and grab his phone. Good thing she could move her feet a bit now. “That’s great. Let me talk to him.”

“Then prove it, Reagan Hill.” She said, teasing him and enjoying this side of him. She never saw this side of him, so scared for her dad. Good, he should be. the moment her dad would know about this leg incident of hers, she couldn’t even imagine what her father would do to him.

And goodness, by heavens, the damn Reagan answered the phone call of her father.
“Oh, good morning, Mr. Makarov. You called?”
