I inhaled the sweet scent of my wife’s hair. I smiled, still not believing how I’m so lucky. This is my life now. I can’t believe I would wake up with Sereia, the woman of my life.

SEREIA’S POV
There was a knock on the door which woke me up. Phoenix was still in the bed so grabbing my robe, I got downstairs to open it. Our maids were still on vacation…which I’m glad so they didn’t hear all my yells earlier…
As soon as I opened the door, I saw Aiden, my husband’s business partner standing outside. “Hi, Aiden. What brings you here?” I asked cheerily, waving at Isleen, his wife whom I also made a friend.
“I’m here to get your son home,” Aiden said, with Reagan standing beside him.
I gasped, and angrily yelled, “Phoenix!!”
That was enough to wake him up and show up later on with only his pants on, “I’m sorry honey!”
He then saw Aiden by the door and smiled, “What’s up, friend! I knew I could count on you. I texted you earlier, asking if you could get my son too.”
Aiden rolled his eyes, checking his phone to see he really did. This lazy bastard really just lets his son.
Our son, Reagan, who was quietly standing and heard it all, smiled at Aiden. “Thanks again, Uncle Aiden!” And he walked into our house.
“Don’t call me uncle!” Aiden yelled after him, and I chuckled at the sight.
Aiden’s mood then changed, his tone now condensing then turned to my husband who was grinning, “Tell your son to back off from my daughter.”
My husband tilted his head to the side, “What? Don’t you want them to be friends?”
“No, I don’t want the two of them being so close to each other. Now bye.” He flatly responded before turning his back. “My daughter is still a child, and there is no way I’ll accept if your son will propose soon!”
Phoenix gave me a look and smirked, which made Aiden clench his jaw, “I’m sure you’ll take back your words, bro.”
I just rolled my eyes at them and catered to my son, grabbing his bag, “So, how’s school today dear?”
He shrugged, “Boring, but there’s Aurora.”
I smiled, noting how my son always mentions Aiden’s daughter. “Is she pretty?”
He thought about it for a moment, “Yes, but she has big teeth.”
I chuckled at my son’s reply, knowing he likes him and I’m watching a soon-to-be love story of our son.
“Alright, if you say so. You can go inside now, I’ll prepare a snack for you, alright?” I said, “And I apologize, baby, for not picking you up today. It’s your father’s fault.”
“Why is this only my fault?” Phoenix sarcastically asked from behind us, then ruffled his son’s hair, “Alright, I’m sorry, I hope you forgive us, Reagan.”
Reagan just nodded quietly and went inside.
I gave a look at Phoenix, “See?”
But he just shrugged it off. “You know our son, he’ll get over it….”
