Chapter 2
The next morning, I woke up feeling nauseous. I quickly run towards my bathroom and knelt down in front of the toilet and like a fucking waterfall I vomit. I feel like I poured it all out. It feels so bad. How I hate the aftermath of getting drunk.
I showered myself and changed into jeans and an off-shoulder top. Even with a hangover I still need to attend school. Well, I am a graduating senior, so I have to be extra careful with my attendance.
I was going downstairs when I heard voices from the living area. There’s visitor?
“Just give me more time. Please…you have to understand that it’s hard for me!” I heard mom pleading’s voice. My brows furrowed. What the hell is happening?
“We know Miss Madrigal that’s why he’s giving you time. But you’re already reaching his limit. He already gave you months…no…he already gave you 18 years for you to be with her. Now that she’s of age, she has to face what’s destined for her.” I heard a man’s voice.
“Okay…I understand. But please tell him…give me more days…just days…sir!” mom begged. I cannot take it anymore. I stepped inside the living area, and I saw a bulky man sitting on one of our couches. They both looked at me. Mom’s face was shocked to see me while the man was just staring at me.
“Mom, what’s going on?” I asked mom. Mom immediately shook her head and walked toward me.
“H-He’s just a friend of mine, Athena. Don’t worry,” mom assured me, but my glaring eyes are still on the man. He stood up. “I’m going now,” the man said and left.
“You have to eat your breakfast first before you go to school,” mom pulled me towards the dining. She pulled a chair and pushed me to sit there.
“Mom…who’s he?” I asked. She looked away, obviously avoiding my question.
“He’s just a friend, Athena. Don’t be too curious,” she said and put rice on my plate. I watched her do that while still thinking of what I heard. What are they talking about? It is clearly not about debt or something…it’s about someone.
Maybe mom is keeping secrets from me?
I didn’t ask her anymore and just quietly ate my food. When I finished I quickly kissed her cheek goodbye. School is still the same. Celine was late because of being ‘tired’ last night. I know why she’s tired though.
“So…are you ready for tonight?” Celine asked while we were eating lunch in the cafeteria. My forehead wrinkled at what she said.
“Tonight? Why?” I asked. She rolled her eyes.
“My friend will host a party at the club tonight! We’ll go!” she excitedly said. Seriously? We just party last night and tonight too? Yes. I surely love parties and clubbing but sometimes it’s making me worn out.
“Aren’t you tired?” I asked her to know if she was really serious about the party tonight.
“Yes, I am tired! But my body still can accommodate two dicks!” she laughed. I sneered.
“It’s good to know that you’re still not pregnant, though,” I said shaking my head.
“Well, I am always ready. Look at my wallet,” she said and took out her wallet. And my eyes widened when I saw condoms! A lot of condoms!
“What…the…” I mumbled. She laughed hard.
“See? There’s no way in hell I’d get pregnant,” she proudly said. She’s…gross.
And just like what she wanted I prepared myself for the party later this night. I was choosing a dress from my closet when mom suddenly barge into my room. She was panting.
“Mom! What’s wrong?!” I asked when she pulled my luggage from its place and put my clothes in there. What the hell is she doing?!
“We have to leave now Athena. Pack your things!” she said panicking.
“Why? Why is it so sudden?” I asked still can’t believe that she wants us to leave now. And where are we going, then? We have no other relatives aside from us!
“Just listen to me, Athena! We have to leave! Pack your things now!” she raised her voice. My lips parted.
“Mom…I want to know why. We can’t just leave here without reason—”
“I have reasons Athena and before he could get you, we’ll leave alright?!” she cut me off.
“Who?! No one’s gonna take me, mom! You’re overreacting!” I argued.
“I am not overreacting, and you didn’t know anything, Athena so listen to me!” mom is getting hysterical. She continued packing my clothes. I shook my head.
“I didn’t know anything because you never tell me, mom,” I said gritting my teeth. She looks at me. I looked away and before she could say something I decided to get out of the house and drove the car away from our house.
I know mom is keeping a secret from me. I remember how we always move from one place to another like we were hiding from someone. I cannot count how many times we moved our place. We just settled here because I asked mom and begged her not to leave this place again.
I am tired of moving. I am tired of going back to square one. Socialize again and get friends once again. I am getting tired of this all.
Before, I didn’t know the reason. But when I turned 18 a month ago, that’s when I start to feel that someone is watching me. And mom…never tell me anything.
My mind was in turmoil when I entered the club where Celine’s friend hosted a party. The dance floor is already wild and full. For now, I just wanted to get drunk. I saw Celine with her new guy. I even saw the man massaging her breast.
“Celine!” I called her. Celine looked at me with her tipsy eyes. Don’t tell me she’s drunk already?!
“Oh! There you are, Athena!” she greeted back but she went back to kissing her new guy again and the man is now unbuttoning Celine’s button-down dress. I shook my head and ordered tequila. I drink one-shot until I reached three shots of it.
“Ahh!” I heard Celine moan. Why doesn’t she get a fucking room and fuck each other there? She’s getting wild and I can clearly see how the guy sucking her nipple. My gosh! Her breast is both exposed in the public!
I looked around and saw that there are men watching them. See? Because of what she’s doing, she has a lineup of men who wants to do her good!
“Fuck! Your tongue is so good baby!” Celine moaned louder!
I shook my head and to stop hearing Celine’s lustful moan I decided to just dance. I let myself get drowned in the music. I bit my lower lip and sway my hips. I was sexy dancing when I felt someone on my back. The smell of his perfume is telling me that he’s a guy.
I continued dancing until I felt something on my back. It was hard and poking me. I didn’t know but it sent an electrifying feeling to my system. I heaved a deep breath when his arms snaked around my waist and pulled me more to him. His hardness becomes more evident now that our body is so near to each other.
“Come with me…” his deep and cold voice gave me goosebumps. It was…giving my heart tremendous beats. I’ve kissed men before…felt them before…but why is this man behind me so different?
It takes a lot of kisses before a man turns me on but this man… just…let me feel his hardness and I am…turned on?
Because of my curiosity, I turned around to face him but before I could see his face, a handkerchief covered my nose and mouth only to fall into unending darkness.
