“ How is your case going Ellen?.” Steph asked as we sat at the table. Oli and Ryan were enjoying their lunch.
Hot and steamy. Unprofessional.
“ Slow, nothing really coming up.”
“Mt. Anderson wanted to let you know that you can renew with your normal work on Monday.”
My normal work was being his goddamn clerk.
“ I was his clerk Steph, no hard passions.”
Steph smiled “ I know, but he wants you to be his particular adjunct.”
AH, what? Cole was enough good at this game of toying with my professional life around.
“ What did you say?”
“ You're being promoted.” Oli chimed
Ryan rolled his eyes.
“ I can't believe it, I mean, i” I was stunned as Steph handed me files
.“ He wants you to have these and get ready to work alongside him on Monday.”
I snappily skimmed through his program docket. And I was shaking. I know we had put everything behind us, but this was another blow for me. Be Cole's particular adjunct?
“ Congratulations?” asked acting confused
“ Of course she's happy, who would not want to help god himself.” Ryan mocked and we went over lunch drooling and laughing.

Mark invited me over for regale that evening and I was so thrilled.
Edith was happy for me when I told her that Cole wanted me to be his particular adjunct, I mean I had gotten my job back but perhaps indeed better.
“ You're sure you guys used fuck again.” She laughed as we sat in the hack driving us to our separate apartments.
“ I don't suppose so, he made it clear that he'll try.”
Edith gave me a recessive look
“ Will he try? How about you, are you going to try?”
. I hadn't allowed about it on my end. But I suppose I was ready to try and renew over on a further professional base, he was now my master. In all senses.
“ I will.” I laughed
“ You want to come over for regale at Marks?” I asked her. She sounded surprised
“ That sounds nice, I haven't had a homemade mess in a while.” she said, “ But you two need some alone time.”
The motorist dropped off Edith at her apartment and he dropped me off at Marks.

The house was cozy, smelt of great food being made or formerly made, Mark had started cooking and he was in the kitchen when I walked by. I wrapped my arms around him while he gave me his reverse.
“ It's nice to see daddy cuisine,” I said
Mark chortled, “ I should do it more frequently, it's kind of relaxing from all the stress.”
That's what some people said about certain house chores. I didn't really enjoy doing house chores but it was intriguing to know that someone plant tiring effects like drawing or packing as relaxing, like that is some energy in there.
“ Are you watching a movie without me?” I walked to the living area and made myself comfortable placing my bag on the settee and removing my jersey.
“ No. Mr. Henderson coming door was doing his diurnal ‘I ’m going to watch TV at full volume’ thing.”
I laughed, “ That’s enough annoying. I’m sorry.”
“ There's some hot coffee if you want some while I wrap up with the cuisine.” I could have some, I was enough much starved.
“ I'll have some also help out with the cuisine.”
“ Sure, when am I meeting your parents again?” Mark called from the kitchen.
What? That was enough arbitrary question from him.
I took a belt of the coffee before responding, “ I do not know, last time my pater didn't feel to like you important but he knows I ’m happy.”
“ I need to make an alternate print.”
“ Perhaps you do.” I jounced in agreement while drinking her coffee.
“ My family likes you, however,” Mark said
“ What are you making for us?”
“ Turkey Sausage galettes”. That sounded, I mean I had had some of that ahead, but boy did I've any idea on what constituents went in that.
“ Do you have the constituents?”
Mark jounced
“ We need some lemon 1 tablespoon, some fennel, thyme, black pepper, cayenne, garlic grease paint, some nutmeg, and allspice. That is all I can recall off the top of my head.”
I raised an eyebrow. I was both surprised and impressed at how well he named all the stuff demanded. I couldn't indeed cover my funk well enough.
“ You remember all that?”
“ No, I have got a cuisine book, my family gave it to me when I moved out alone.” He handed me the book and I allowed it was sweet how thoughtful Laura could be.
“ I made us some flapjacks too, for after regale.”

I would have noway guessed that Mark was good at cooking succulent foods and good at baking.
Once we got to the restaurant, we talked over coffee and flapjacks. As he told me about how he and Laura made it without important support from their family after their parents failed. Their parents had failed in an auto crash and that had spooked them. Mark said he tried his style to be perfect at everything, therefore his hard work when it came to the office. I had known about this ahead but this evening, Mark sounded more vuln are with me. His feelings were raw.
When we finished eating, we still walked back to the bedroom. When we got there I allowed it was a good time to tell him about my new plant position at the company.
“ Thanks for regale, cream air.”
“I got promoted to be Mr. Anderson's personal assistant.” I bluntly said.
Mark smiled, “that's good news, glad you are here so we can celebrate, all night.”
