Catastrophe Containment Facility Chapter 1236

With the incident of the Abyss Eye, Wen Wen became alert to snitches within other organizations and began investigating them one by one. The first discovery was the event in Oye Water City. Thɪs chapter is updated by novel[f]ire.net Even though he was pleased to see Ensook being frustrated, he was shocked to realize how swiftly Ensook compromised, gaining further understanding of the enemy's strength. Through other snitches, Wen Wen also gained some insight into the whereabouts of the Secret Organizations Alliance and Catastrophe-Level Experts. First was the Capital Feng Ghost God, who had wreaked havoc across the land of the Capital and then went silent after the first attack. According to the intelligence Wen Wen obtained from the snitches, the Capital Feng Ghost God retreated into his Capital Feng Ghost City and shut himself in, as if avoiding something after his first action. Perhaps the Capital Feng Ghost God might be the first one to know about the Great Sage's conspiracy. However, this wicked old ghost had no intention of informing the Hunter Association but chose to hide instead. The desert bandits were also in a dire situation; they were suddenly backstabbed by the Truth Society, and only a small group managed to escape, while the rest became puppets of the Great Sage. The arch-nemesis of the Sand Sea Priest, Sha Xie Tulam's fate was unknown. The Silver Brotherhood turned into the Blue and Purple Brotherhood, and other secret organizations were either dead or crippled. No secret organization expected that the emergence of the Secret Organizations Alliance would lead to their downfall instead of their rise. Large secret organizations faced such fates, and smaller ones fared even worse, with countless small groups being wiped out. Unlike dealing with the Hunters Association, the Great Sage didn't bother concealing his actions against these small secret organizations; he knew them too well, making it easy to exterminate them. Wen Wen turned his attention to the Beautiful Wonderland in the Arctic and communicated with a Containment Officer there. The people from the Will of Nature organization were very amiable, with some even known for chivalrous deeds, which led to many snitches of Wen Wen within the organization. Through the snitches, Wen Wen learned that the Beautiful Wonderland remained enchanting, which reassured him. The Man in Black Robe had just disappeared, and Wen Wen didn't want anything to happen on the Moon Goddess's side. Though there was a great battle here, due to the defensible terrain and the Moon Goddess's recent inexplicable irritability, they managed to defend it easily. What concerned Wen Wen most was the Glory Church. Unlike other secret organizations, most of whom were pure evil, many within the Glory Church still harbored goodwill, making it a pity if they perish as well. But now, Wen Wen and the Hunter Association were too preoccupied to spare the effort to rescue them. Wen Wen had two snitches within the Glory Church: Miss Windsor, a priestess with a tragic past, and her Guardian Angel, the somewhat provocatively dressed Holy Sword Angel. There was also an unknowing snitch, Hosta, who had chains implanted into him without his knowledge. Through these snitches, Wen Wen glimpsed the current state of the Glory Church and felt a slight tremor in his heart before sighing. Compared to the glorious scenes before, the current Glory Church seemed a bit desolate. The previously blinding radiance was gone, replaced by ruined buildings and corpses lying on the ground. These clergy members died at the hands of their allies. What puzzled Wen Wen was the lack of Eroders within the Glory Church. After careful questioning of the snitches, Wen Wen understood the absence of Eroders' existence. This was all due to the nature of the Glory Church's strength. The power of the Nameless King is destruction, while the creator's power is creation and light. Their powers inherently repel each other, making it normal that the Great Sage's power couldn't erode the Glory Church. Perhaps this is why the Great Sage wielded the butcher's knife against the Glory Church; once they understand the Great Sage's nature, they will become adversaries. The Glory Church might even have a method to counter the Great Sage's power, prompting the Great Sage to eliminate them before that happens. However, fortuitously, at the beginning of the Secret Organizations Alliance's troubles, the Glory Church split into two factions and had an internal conflict. The Divine Descendant Sect, who agreed to wreak havoc on the world alongside other secret organizations, defeated the relatively outnumbered Divine Descendant Sect. But the Divine Descendant Sect, led by Pope Charlie, did not annihilate the Divine Grace Sect but imprisoned them in an underground jail of a large cathedral. When the upheaval occurred, the Old Priest stood at the cathedral's entrance, protecting everyone inside by himself, even stopping the Great Sage from excessively provoking him. As for others' fates, Wen Wen could clearly see through the eyes of the passive snitch, Hosta. Pope Charlie sat on his chair, eyes vacant, a Holy Artifact of immense power casually thrown on the ground. In his chest and abdomen, a white straw continuously siphoned his flesh and blood. This white straw came from the Cicada Ancestor! The Cicada Ancestor, once sealed by Mo Gong, was revived to full strength with the Great Sage's help. Pope Charlie was first ambushed by the snitch Hosta using a tool provided by the Great Sage, then beaten to death by people sent by the Great Sage, unable to escape at all. His flesh and blood were used as nourishment for the Cicada Ancestor to restore its strength. Without the snitch Hosta, the Glory Church wouldn't have lost so utterly. Among all the Great Sage's subordinates, Hosta was one of the few who weren't eroded. Due to the dual protections of Holy Power and the Sanctuary's chains, Hosta could perfectly resist erosion, not controlled by the Great Sage, yet willing to help him destroy the world. That hysterical madness deeply attracted the Great Sage, and simply eroding such an individual would be a massive waste. Hence, the Great Sage presided over a ceremony that made Hosta also possess the power of the Nameless King, with the Cicada Ancestor as Hosta's mount… Wen Wen's gaze was heavy; when the time was right, he would make Hosta taste the consequences. He looked at the glasses piled up like a small mountain before him, rubbed his temples, and began to infuse them with Frenzy. This method of infusing Frenzy was labor-intensive and could only last for a month, but that was enough. One month's time was enough to decide the fate of this world. If they won, the real world would prosper; if they lost, this world would be completely annihilated. Wen Wen might be able to transfer some people via the Sanctuary and Yuriano Space-Time City, but it would only preserve this world's seeds. Wen Wen sincerely hoped things wouldn't reach that point.
