Inside the shabby office in the small town, Old Haiden readily agreed to Yan Fei’s demands after some cajoling and incentives.
In fact, it wasn’t much trouble at all, just like Yan Fei said, since after all, he’s an outsider. Old Chen and Heizi struggled to get to the point in their discussions, and Yan Fei didn’t have the patience to slowly gather intel, so it was best to let Old Haiden take the lead.

“You three run back!” Guo Jingya’s voice came gleefully through the phone. “Sister Xiaoyan said you tricked her, so here’s a chance to run and exercise. She said you can’t borrow someone else’s car, you can only run back. We’re watching from up front!”
Yan Fei hung up the phone helplessly and started warming up. “Hey, Laowu, your sister said we have to run back. We can’t borrow a car, aren’t you going to get ready?”

Yan Fei chuckled and explained: “That was a spur of the moment idea. Think about it, with this old man having a stroke, unable to handle affairs, but still alive, not yet dividing the inheritance. The family must now be plotting, considering how much inheritance they’ll get once the old man passes. With that, they won’t have the mind to cause us trouble, will they?”
