Bonus Chapter :
It was winter. My new semester in college, I had met a new friend just last month who no matter what always made me happy. Her name was Mia.
"I hope this semester goes by easy, The teachers always bury us in heaps of projects and home works, It's annoying" I nodded smiling. " But It's an easy credit process " I replied.
SomeWhere in walking back to my house and stopping by to observe the winter growing around me I spot a man. He was gorgeous, His face showed no emotion, His dark hair and dark eyes staring at me. I look away and continue to walk.
It might be because I was sleepy, Or it might just be a coincidence, But I tripped over my shoes almost spraining my ankle when I was caught by my elbow.
It was him. "Thank you," I said and he blocked my path suddenly. " Does this belong to you?" He asked. I squint my eyes slightly in confusion to see my pendant in his hand dangling on the golden chain.
"That's mine, How did you - Where did you find it ?" I ask extending my hand for him to give it back. He let the chain fall on my hand and leaned a car beside us. "At the gates of your college," He said.
"Are you stalking me?" I ask and he laughed out loud shaking his head, Then his voice went silent, "Maybe." I gulp not moving." Why ?" I ask him in a nervous tone.
"You are a precious girl, You should not be hurt because of your family's problems" I frown. "Excuse me, Who are you? What are you talking about ?" He leaned in making me move away. "Xavier, I don't have any interest in you babygirl. I am just looking out for ya" I turned around running away.
But he would come after me, Always.
It took a very long time to understand that he was only protecting me, But before that realization. I hated him to my soul. But I was a stupid girl, I never knew I could say no and run away from him, I just kept falling into his little traps.
Until I could never get away from him.
"Say it, I want to hear you say it" I whimper as he kissed my cheeks. " I belong to you" I reply. " That's my girl" He smiled taking my hand and pulling me to his car right in front of my mother who stood frozen as he pointed a gun at her.
"Don't" I plead, But he did not listen.
I hated him, I locked myself in the bathroom until he broke it down. I did not know why he took me to his house. Maybe he should've told me, So I would've understood. I doubt that but still. He was just taking me away from a man who wished I was dead that night itself.
Xavier was abusive, that was the only reason I saw him as a killer. He never once told me how he protected my mother from my uncle. He didn't choose to tell me why my uncle wanted me dead, Why he sold me Xavier to get rid of me, now that think about it I see why Xavier wanted me to hate him.
If I showed any signs of loving that man in the start, Uncle would've taken me away from him. Because for him I was supposed to be dead.
And I did a huge mistake of letting Xavier go that day. But I know he will come back.
No matter how much I hated him, I still Do love him.
