Angelo fumed as he watched the Mafia King approach, more than getting rid of his split ends, Roxie had done something to his hair to make it puff up. He was used to his hair limply hanging down, he preferred it even, having his hair fluff up made him feel ridiculous like he was wearing a tacky wig.
He held his tongue in a great fit of self-control, however. Not only could he not bring himself to cut his hair, but threatening to do it would only bring grave repercussions, so he could only glare a hole right through Nikolai’s forehead and tolerate it.
"I’m going back to the penthouse," He announced through a clenched jaw when Nikolai approached.
Nikolai’s eyes almost seemed to glow, "Too bad, we’re going to the casino."
Nikolai nearly took a step back right then, it really seemed like Angelo was going to make a killing blow. The assassin still had a hand up to his hair to keep the unruly bouncy locks out of his face, it contrasted with the danger that spat from his eyes.
"I’m going back to the penthouse," Angelo repeated - right then, he didn’t seem to care about the threat of the safe room.
Nikolai closed the distance and grabbed for himself a handful of Angelo’s hair like he couldn’t resist. "Did you forget I make the decisions around here?"
Angelo dropped both hands to his side, helpless anger in his swirling pale green eyes. He seemed too angry to even come up with a response. Angelo didn’t want to remain in public with his hair looking , he wanted to curl up alone in a room where no one would see him.
If Mafia King Nikolai wanted to take him anywhere, he would have to knock him out to accomplish that.
Nikolai eyed him warily but made no move to let go of his hair, "What do you want to do?"
Angelo replied despite himself, his teeth itching. "I really want to bite you." He mumbled woodenly, feeling backed into a wall.
Mafia King Nikolai was a metal gate, there was no give. It was helpless going against him and it made Angelo’s emotions a unique mix of frustrated anger.
Nikolai’s eyes widened in surprise, laughing happily, "Go ahead, I won’t stop you."
Angelo stared at the hand right in front of him, even the thought of biting through the Mafia King’s clothes didn’t deter him.
Around them, the parking lot was conspicuously empty, almost like no one could stand to be several meters around Nikolai.
Angelo knew that this was performative, like giving a dog a bone. He was too angry to care at that point, biting down viciously on Nikolai’s wrist that was right next to his head.
The Alpha even released his hair so he could better bite down, unmoving despite the drops of blood plopping down to the pavement.
Angelo pulled away, throwing the Alpha’s limp hand away from him. He could taste blood on his teeth and it was strangely satisfying, he had even fought the urge to rip out a chunk of the Alpha’s skin, wiping his lips.
"Knock me out before you take me to the casino," He made one last request, his hair obscuring a good deal of his face.
Nikolai just tugged down his sleeve over the mangled bite on his sleeve, his pleasant expression never leaving his face. "Come here," He crooked two fingers at Angelo.
Angelo went willingly, expecting to lose consciousness, instead, Mafia King Nikolai picked him up like he weighed no less than a twig, throwing him over a shoulder.
He was mortified, pounding his fists on the Alpha’s lower back, his legs swinging. "This wasn’t what we agreed on! Put me down!"
Nikolai was unperturbed, striding towards the car. "I let you bite me. Behave."
Angelo’s eyes flashed, and it was a miracle he didn’t explode from anger right then. His hair swayed gently with each step Nikolai took. What use was the little gratification he got from biting if he was pushed right back to the edge again?
He should have known better than to agree to a deal with the crooked Mafia King. Angelo’s pale face flushed a dark red, and it wasn’t from being hung upside down.
He scooted to the far end of the car when he was placed in the car, glaring at Nikolai distrustfully, the color still on his face, chest heaving from anger.
Nikolai was fixated on this image, his dark blue eyes murky like the depths of the sea as he took him in. A thoughtful expression came across his face, he had gotten what he wanted, and it was no surprise that he immediately wanted more.
Angelo’s burning anger looked just as good as he knew it would, content to watch the fuming assassin all the way to the casino. He felt loathe to touch the bite would the assassin had given him but he had to wipe it at the very least, doing nothing more. If he was lucky, he might get those sharp little teeth permanently imprinted on his body.
Unaware of Mafia King Nikolai’s thoughts, Angelo eventually calmed down, and most of the color faded from his face. He relaxed as well, no longer pressed against the door.
Not only had he been embarrassed by being carried around, Nikolai didn’t even bother to knock him out. Content to watch him with that unsettling expression on his face. If it were anyone else, they might have crumbled mentally in the time spent with the Mafia King but Angelo was just livid at being tricked.
He wanted to die anyway so he had no reason to fear Mafia King Nikolai - except one. Nikolai had promised never to put him back in there though but the Mafia King double-crossed without a change in expression, so he knew better than to trust that.
He couldn’t believe he had relented a bit, almost coming to believe that he could trust a deal made with Nikolai. The casino came into view then, and despite it being such a gloomy day, the parking lot was teeming with people.
