Angelo stoically kept his gaze out the window, although it was tinted so he could barely see outside the car. Fortunately, Mafia King Nikolai paid no further attention to him but he couldn’t relax, not when they were in such a confined space.
If anything happened, it would be difficult to fight back with the limited space in the backseat. But despite his dark thoughts, the journey was peaceful.
Angelo couldn’t recognize the place he was brought to, when he got out of the car, all he could see was a building that looked a lot like a traditional gentleman’s club.
It was strange that Mafia King Nikolai would have any dealings with what seemed like a respectable establishment. At least, that was what he thought until they got in.
The security at the door was extremely strict but they let Nikolai by without so much as a second glance.
Angelo’s curious expression fell when they stepped past the doors. There was a large social room right past the door, with several round tables and low cushions.
The bars were generous, and the servers were beautiful women in lingerie. It was a brothel, Mafia King Nikolai had brought him to a whorehouse.
Angelo’s feet froze to the ground, he wanted to turn around and leave but he had a feeling that Mafia King Nikolai would just drag him by the hair again. Was that why the Mafia King insisted he leave his hair down?
"A private room for him." Nikolai tossed casually to a host that approached them.
The host was a slimy individual with slitted eyes, he was the textbook description of a pimp and had the wardrobe of one as well.
"Right away," The host tipped his purple suede hat, his voice sleazy. "Come with me, please." He turned to Angelo, walking off to the stairs.
Angelo had no choice but to follow, he didn’t know what was waiting for him on the second floor but it had to be better than the ground floor where patrons were getting their dicks sucked in plain view of everyone.
He refused to look at Nikolai as he walked across the floor behind the host, even though he could feel the Alpha’s icy stare on his back. He knew exactly why Mafia King Nikolai brought him here and he wasn’t impressed.
He was ushered into a room, that had a sitting area, a bed that was way too big for a single person, and an attached bathroom. It was like a decent hotel room with a king-size bed.
The host grinned at him, tapping his wooden cane lightly against the ground. "You must have made your boss real happy to get this treatment."
Angelo had to force himself not to recoil at the host’s smile, silver teeth gleaming from the caverns of his mouth. If attempting to kill Mafia King Nikolai was what made him very happy, then the sleazy host was right.
"He’s not my boss," He quietly disputed.
This just sent the host into a fit of laughter, he even went as far as to comically wipe non-existent tears from his eyes. "Sure, he isn’t." He agreed amicably. "So what’s your preference? If your Mafia King is paying, I suggest you get the full package." He leaned close to say, winking wolfishly.
Angelo felt his stomach churn at the implication of his words, ignoring the host referring to Nikolai as his Mafia King. "I’m not interested, just get me some red wine and leave me alone."
"Right on it," The host said generously, slipping out of the room.
Angelo walked over to the sitting area and sat on a sofa, tempted to put his legs on the soft cushions as well. He couldn’t say if Mafia King Nikolai truly had business here or if he had brought him along solely for this.
A short while later, there was a timid knock on the door, catching his attention.
"Come in," He invited, his caution audible in his voice.
The door opened slowly and a head full of black curls poked in, bright innocent eyes looked up at him. "Excuse me, I was sent to bring some red wine to room 041?"
The Omega’s voice was high and melodic and her mannerisms and manner of speaking were a little naive, it made Angelo clench his hands into fists. "Yes, thank you."
The Omega brightened up at his appreciation, going through the trouble of pouring him a glass. She wasn’t dressed in lingerie like the servers on the ground floor but the little dress she wore fit to her body like a glove.
When she was done serving the wine, she didn’t leave, standing nervously in front of him. "Would you like my clothes on or off?"
Angelo had been mid-sip, he choked down the mouthful of red wine, his eyes watering. "Leave them on." He said in a rush, his voice a little rough. "You can leave as well, I just wanted the wine."
The Omega blinked at him, her expression falling. "Oh, I understand if you don’t want me. I’ll leave so someone else can..."
"Stop," Angelo said with a strained expression. "You can stay. Leave your clothes on and drink with me."
She brightened up again like a lamp, her emotions clear to see on her face. Angelo didn’t even mind when she sat right next to him and poured herself a glass of wine.
"Have you worked here long?" He asked partly to fill up the silence and partly to distract her from trying to touch him.
"Does that bother you?" She asked quietly, leaning in. A soft flowery scent came from her, Angelo couldn’t say if it was her perfume or her natural scent.
He shrugged, he was completely uninterested so her answer didn’t matter. "No."
"It’s my first month working here," She spoke quietly, holding the wine glass like a mug. Beneath the sultry dark red makeup she wore, Angelo feared he would find a child underneath.
