Lake was sleeping in his bed when Davian got back to the mansion, he nearly tripped over thin air at the sight of the pale Omega lying on his black sheets.
He hadn’t gone to Lake’s room first so he would bother the Omega if he was still sleeping only to stumble right into him.
The arousal that he had all but forgotten slammed into the base of his spine, making him nearly bite his tongue.
Lake chose that moment to wake up, his eyes soft with sleep.
"Davian, you’re back. How was cooking class?"
"Fine," Davian muttered, hastily clearing his throat to get rid of some of the hoarseness.
Fortunately, Lake rose to his feet then and wandered back to his bedroom, looking like he still hadn’t gotten his fill of sleep.
Davian showered in icy cold water, staring down at his dick that seemed to have a life of its own recently. He had never had to deal with this before so he didn’t know how to resolve it.
Jerking off didn’t sound like a permanent solution, and he would feel like crap if he was constantly running off to rub one off every time he looked at Lake.
So the only thing he could do was to keep ignoring it. A quick cold shower later and he was deciding on dinner with Lake, somehow keeping it together the entire time.

Of course, that wasn’t going to happen. A few minutes later, he was still wide awake, and after doing a bunch of little things and straightening out his dresser, Lake got into bed with a blissfully sighed ’goodnight’.
Davian didn’t remember replying but like clockwork, Lake was rolling right into his arms after falling asleep.
Yeah no, he wasn’t getting any sleep.
Fortunately, the cold shower must have been on double time because he was perfectly fine even with Lake in his arms. Ignoring it was the right thing to do after all.
Davian didn’t remember falling asleep but as soon as he opened his eyes, it felt like something was off, so he immediately glanced down at his body, half-expecting to find Lake crawling up his body again.
He started to heave a sigh of relief only for it to get caught in his throat when he felt a slender hand on his face.
Lake was by his side, that dangerous light back in those soft brown eyes, spelling Davian’s doom.
Davian knew this had to be a dream but he didn’t try to stop or pull away when Lake came in for a kiss, his eyes rolling slightly back in his head when Lake slipped a hand down his body and unerringly found his dick.
Soon he was awake again, and rock hard. It was also the perfect time to get out of bed to make breakfast.
Davian was glad he woke up at the perfect time to cook without the risk of ruining Lake’s sleep with an alarm but he wished he didn’t wake up this way...

"I do." Lake said stubbornly. "I’ll arrange for every meeting to be after nine AM, that should be enough time to get ready without cutting into your sleep."

"Eat without me, I’ll take a shower and join you." He said in a rush, already darting out of the kitchen.
Lake’s words died in his mouth as Davian’s broad back disappeared outside the kitchen. He shrugged and dug into the food that Davian had gone through so much trouble to make.
The board meeting with BlueAir was a headcase and they could end up spending several hours there.
The company was about to go under so they were trying to come up with a solution that could work.
Davian had a decent amount of shares in the company, but so did others so they all had to come to an agreement.
Lake frowned when he was done eating and Davian wasn’t back yet, worried that breakfast would become inedible. It didn’t help that they would need to leave soon for the board meeting.
It was bad enough that he didn’t get to eat with the Alpha, he didn’t like that Davian would possibly not get to eat before they had to leave, as well.
Looking down at the counter he made a decision and shot to his feet to get to work.
Davian on the other hand had all but forgotten about breakfast. He had to cool in an icy cold shower for a good long while before his dick softened, startled to run into Lake just as he stepped into his bedroom.
"Let’s head out, I already got your breakfast. You can eat in the car." Lake said shortly, patting the Alpha on the chest as he turned around and started down the hallway.
