"Will you stay during my class again?" Davian asked.
"I don’t..." Lake already started to reply before Davian’s words sank in, making his brows furrow. "Your class? If you want me to."
"Don’t you have things to attend to at the company?" Davian said instead of being selfish.
"I do." Lake sighed. This was no good. He would keep on walking on eggshells unless he just came out with it, it wasn’t like he was doing anything wrong.

"Clint is just an acquaintance." He blurted out before he lost all of his courage. "I met him at the park close to my previous apartment."
Davian’s expression was inscrutable, "Do you know who he is?"
Lake had boasted that he could read the reports even while hanging off a cliff but now he couldn’t process even a single word on the page.
"I don’t think so." He answered guardedly, "I only saw him a couple of times."
"Then it doesn’t matter," Davian dismissed that line of conversation.
Davian picked up on cooking pretty quickly, soon he wouldn’t need classes, and then they would have no reason to bump into each other.
He had never really put any limitations on Lake, it would kill him if Lake had something with someone else but there was really nothing he could do about it. Not now, not after their child was born.
