Lake didn’t get very far before he was pinned against the wall, Master Davian’s hard body trapping him against the hard surface.
His face was pressed against the expensive wallpaper, the scent of dark chocolate so heavy in the air he could taste it on his tongue.
With limited options, he started trying to talk his way out of his current situation, his heart pounding in his chest.
"M-Master Davian? I’m afraid there’s been a misunderstanding, I’m not..." He trailed off then, not sure what he had been about to say.
Alpha Mafia King Davian had never been involved with a woman before, and less unlikely, men.
There were rumors that he was a monster; because he was quiet, dangerous, and seemed incapable of falling in love.
It didn’t even seem right that he could get a rut, it felt like that was something beneath him.
So how exactly was he supposed to talk his way out of this when there wasn’t a woman he could leverage on?
"...I’m just a part of the h-house staff," He said in a rush, trembling from the heat of Davian’s body.
The hard outline of his dick pressed against the small of his back in their very compromising position.
"Mate." Master Davian finally spoke, his voice a low growl.
Lake shivered from his hot breath on his neck, hoping that he misheard, or even better that the master misheard him.
"N-No... ah!" He moaned when Davian pressed against him even harder, kissing down on his neck as he ground against his ass.
The situation was fast leaving his hands, he couldn’t risk staying longer because he was beginning to feel drowsy from the effects of the Master’s dark scent.
But he couldn’t get away from him.
Not when he held him so close that his toes barely touched the carpeted floor, his shirt starting to come undone from where it was tucked into his pants.
"Mate." Master Davian repeated, his tone insistent and Lake knew that there was no getting through to him with his words.
This would be a really great time for Arthur to fucking show up but of course, he was left to deal with this all by himself.
He should have just gone home.
He was already in a terrifying situation, but it would only get worse from here on out.
Because if he didn’t get away, he would essentially be putting his life in danger, and if he tried to get away, it would be the same outcome.
He wasn’t supposed to be in the master wing when all the staff had clocked out for the day so he would also be in trouble for that.
That was if Master Davian didn’t immediately wring his neck with his bare hands when he regained his senses.
That was enough to give him the energy to keep trying to escape.
If he could just bump into someone else, he might be able to ask for their help in escaping the dangerous Alpha pinning him down.
Lake spun around in Davian’s hold, making him loosen his grip momentarily, and that was enough for him to slip out of his grasp and make a dead run for it.
His slightly long hair fell out of its clasp, but he didn’t care, his footsteps loud in the empty hallway.
He had never been glad to see Arthur show up in front of him, but this was the one exception.
He stared at him with tears and fear in his soft brown eyes, dashing to hide behind him - he knew when to pick the lesser devil.
Arthur took one look at his Mafia King chasing after the maid and blanched, cursing under his breath.
"How did you manage to fuck up this bad?" He snapped at him, his eyes tracking down an escape route.
Lake’s hands were trembling as he held tightly to Arthur’s overcoat, "H-How is this my fault?" he asked with a teary voice, completely done with the entire situation.
"Master Davian?" Arthur began in a steady voice, his gloved hands making calming motions, "I-"
Lake watched on in horror as the butler was shoved out of the way and into the wall of the hallway with enough force to knock him out.
Arthur was by no means weak, Mafia King Davian was just that much stronger.
And if it were any other time, he would have enjoyed the butler getting his shit rocked, but he had bigger things to deal with.
He took a step back and before he could take another, Master Davian was already on him, making him scream his head off in terror.
His scream was cut off by a kiss, Davian’s tongue dominating his small mouth, the taste of bitter chocolate filling his senses.
He pulled away with a gasp, his eyes wide, his pupils dilating as he was stunned.
"Mate... Tried to run away..."
Master Davian murmuring that in a dark voice was all the warning he got before the Alpha sank his sharp teeth into his neck, marking him.
Pleasure flooded Lake, making him go pliant in Davian’s arms, his expression dazed.
He couldn’t protest as he was picked up and carried off by Master Davian to his room, his head buzzing.
He had just been marked.
He had just been marked by Alpha Mafia King, Davian.
Lake had no other choice but to accept his current situation, even if he had managed to get more people to help, they would have met the same fate as Arthur.
And although Mafia King Davian had been relentless when he had been chasing him down, now that he was lying in his bed, he was gentle
A look of concern was on his face although his slate gray eyes were still unfocused with the effects of his rut.
Lake sighed in resignation - there went his weekend off.
He didn’t resist when Davian leaned forward to lick the bright red droplets of blood that pooled where the Alpha bit him, closing his eyes in pleasure.
He also accepted his kiss, expecting to taste his blood but Davian’s scent was too strong...
And addictive because he kissed him in return, chasing the dark and bitter taste.
